Chapter 115 A letter from a businessman

After a while, Gandalf bent down and lay on the hole the size of a fist. He took out an orange bottle, opened the bottle plug, and poured some liquid into the hole.

Mo Tie smelled it before he could come over. Why did Gandalf pour wine into the cave?

After pouring the entire bottle of wine, Gandalf got up, patted his knees, and explained: "The brown ant caves in the forest are very deep, and they are little alcoholics who like sweet wine. The Nord honey wine I treasure should allow them to come out and meet me."

Mo Tie was interested: "Ants still like to drink? How much can such a smaller thing be drunk?"

Gandalf didn't say anything and looked at Mo Tie jokingly.

At the hole the size of a fist suddenly crawled out several fist-sized ants, and the tentacles on their heads clicked around, as if they were sensing the smell of honey.

"Okay, it looks quite drinkable."

Gandalf bent down again, making some strange sounds in his mouth, as if he was talking to the ants.

Mo Tie boredly used a steel sword to pick up the spider silk from the tree to play with it.

Gandalf finished talking with the ant with a serious expression, took out another bottle of honey wine, opened the bottle cap and left it in place.

"Ain, you can't play with spider webs like this, it's easy to attract the attention of spiders." Gandalf reminded Mo Tiedao, "I've talked to brown ants. They recently found that the fruit was rotting when they collected food. The trolls in the forest frequently appear on the periphery, as if setting up cordons."

Mo Tie was a little strange. Giant monsters have this kind of IQ. Didn’t they say they were all stupid?

"Yes, the trolls will never think of these things. I think someone is guiding these trolls." Gandalf said with a serious expression.

"You'll know if you go deep in the forest and take a look." Although he promised Gandalf to be careful, Mo Tie was confident in his strength and boldly suggested.

Gandalf thought about it, maybe he felt that there was too little information and could not analyze anything. If he wanted to find the black hand behind the monster, he could only venture deep in the woods once, so he nodded in agreement.

This time Mo Tie was the leader in front. If an accident occurs, he will react in time.

The forest was silent. After walking for a day, they were already very close to the territory of the monster.

"Ain, wait a minute, we should find a place to rest. It would be a disadvantage to deal with the monsters at night." Gandalf whispered to remind Mo Tie that he was a little uneasy. The initial plan did not include spending the night in the monster forest, but only planned to explore the outside.

Mo Tie knew what Gandalf meant. If they encountered monsters here during the day, they could still climb to the top of the tree, but they would not be able to do so at night.

He sighed, it was really hard to have a crispy mage in the team.

In order to prevent the trolls from attracting the attention of the monsters, Motie and Gandalf climbed up the tree and chose a better trunk to spend the night.

Gandalf took out a bottle of wine and a dry bread from his backpack for dinner and said to Motie embarrassedly: "I didn't expect to sleep here. You want to eat something. I have a lot of it."

Finally, Motel took a piece of salmon steak and a bottle of Alto.

In the darkness, the two of them finished their meals silently and then rested.

Mo Tie rejected Gandalf's proposal to take turns to watch: "I can sense the danger, and even if I fall asleep, I can wake up instantly."

Half dreaming and half awake, a slight tremor spread to Mo Tie through the tree trunk, and he woke up instantly.

Opening his eyes, he quietly looked down, and after a while, a huge figure appeared. At this time, Gandalf had been awakened by the footsteps of the monster and was also looking down at the situation.

The giant monster was carrying a long wooden spoon and muttered as he walked.

"Bert is the chef, why do you want me to carry a spoon? He is such a busy man."

When the monster walked away, Mo Tie quietly asked Gandalf: "Are we going to follow?"

"No, we need to find out the person behind the trolls. It's not surprising that one or two trolls appear here."

"Then how do you find the person behind them?"

"Continue to walk deep into the forest tomorrow." Gandalf thought for a while and made a decision.

Mo Tie shrugged his shoulders and said it didn't matter.

The next morning, they packed up and continued to walk deep into the forest.

This time I walked all the way to the trolls' living cave. There was no trolls inside, with many bloody bones scattered, with animals and people.

"This is just one of the many monster caves deep in the forest. It seems nothing unusual, but it is still the same mess."

Gandalf carefully examined and concluded.

Mo Tie said strangely: "There are human corpses here, but there are no human items. Has it been eaten by the giant monster?"

It was obviously impossible. He was used to touching the gathering place of the orcs by himself, and he discovered the unreasonableness of the cave at a glance.

Gandalf also discovered this after reminding him.

In fact, this cave still has some human daily necessities, ragged clothes, shoes, etc., but there is no iron tool - almost all travelers walking around the forest of monsters will carry weapons.

"Maybe we should search for these clothes." Mo Tie suggested.

He soon found a letter in a torn blood-stained dress.

"Uh...Mr. Gandalf, I don't know the words. Please see what is written on it?" Mo Tie was embarrassed to find that he had a multilingual translator who could communicate but could not understand the words.

Gandalf took the letter paper, opened it and looked at it a few times, shook his head regretfully: "There is no useful information, this is just an ordinary businessman's suicide note."

On Middle Earth, there are as many orcs as giant rats. There may be cases where orcs attack caravans on any deserted wilderness. No matter what size the caravan is, once they encounter such a thing, they can only seek blessings.

Therefore, merchants often prepare a suicide note on their bodies. In case of misfortune, these things may be discovered by passing mercenaries or rangers and sent back to their families. Of course, this is all paid.

Most of these suicide notes are about comforting their wives and children, allocating their inheritance, and giving them how much remuneration they pay to the sender. It seems that the same is true for Gandalf's hand.

"Do you want to send a letter?" Gandalf asked Motie, "It's near the Bru Nan Ferry Crossing, you'll encounter it when you're out of the forest."

Mo Tie shook his head: "I won't do such a thing."

He didn't want to see the recipient's sadness and pain.

"Then I'll find a postman out of the forest." Gandalf took the letter away, and he had no time to waste it on these things.

"Do we have to go to other monster caves?" Mo Tie asked. He had searched here and there was nothing useful.

Gandalf nodded: "When it's still early, let's take a look. No matter what you see, you must leave here before the sun sets." After thinking about it, he added, "If there are sleeping monsters in the cave, don't go in."

Mo Tie suddenly turned around, looked at the direction of the entrance of the cave, and said, "I'm afraid we don't need to go to other caves. The owner of this house is back."

Gandalf ran to the entrance of the cave and looked out. Sure enough, he saw the leaves shaking from a distance. It was a situation that only happened when the monster walked past the branches.

He ran back to the depths of the cave, looking for somewhere to hide.

Mo Tie pressed Gandalf's shoulder and said, "Mr. Gandalf, since you have paid for this trip, please believe in my strength."

He asked Gandalf to stand in the shadows deep in the cave, holding the steel sword himself, carefully sticking it to the edge of the hole.

The dull footsteps were getting closer and closer, and the monster was back.

It seemed that the giant had nothing to gain, and his hands were empty. Just as he bent down his head and walked into the cave, a light appeared in his sight.

Mo Tie used all his strength to slash the monster's shoulder with a sword. Due to his height problem, he could only swing the sword from bottom to top, and the strength started from the soles of his feet, his waist, abdomen, back muscles, arms, and finally he vented from the steel sword.

This sword was the most powerful force he had used so far, and he felt that it might have exceeded 10 tons. Although the monster's skin was hard, it could not withstand such force.

With a "tearing" sound, the giant's thick right arm broke in response to the sound, and fell to the ground with a "thump" and a large stream of black blood spilled all over the ground as if poured out of a bucket.

The monster, who had not reacted, suddenly became unbalanced in gravity and tilted to the left. His shocked eyes slowly moved his right, trying to see why his right arm was so painful.

Mo Tie did not stop his movements and used the "distance of the sky is like spring water". He swung his sword and removed the monster's left hand.

The giant monster finally reacted and instinctively shouted, with huge fear covering it.

Mo Tie slapped the monster's head with the side of the steel sword, interrupting its shouting. Then he crossed the sword around its neck and said, "Shut up and kneel down."

The creature like a giant is thick-skinned and brainless. Seeing that Mo Tie could kill it cleanly, he obediently admitted his conscience and did as he did.

Motie pushed the monster deep into the cave and shouted to the shadows: "Mr. Gandalf, do you have any questions to ask it?"

Gandalf walked out of the shadows, and the expression on her face was very wonderful.

Elves are a race with strong combat power, but they are definitely not good at power. They are better at agile movements and dazzling archery.

Mo Tie's rough style is more like a heavy-mounted knight among human warriors.

Can a wild elf look like this?

"Uh...Mr. Ian, thank you for your help. I think I have some questions to ask about it." Gandalf said politely.

"Have any special person been to the Troll Forest recently?"

The monster endured the huge pain and said, "It has been many years since humans entered the forest."

"It's not a human, it's something else, like a spider?" Gandalf continued to ask.

"Spider?" The giant monster blinked his small eyes, "It's obviously a wolf, how could there be a spider?"

"What wolf?" Gandalf felt that he had grasped the point.
