Chapter 34 Group of Four, Gather(2/2)
Hermione lowered her head, feeling overwhelmed by the guilt of lying to the professor.
If it was revealed that she was crying and hiding in the toilet because of Ron, Harry and the others, Hermione would be worried that the trio who saved her would also be punished.
Now she is no longer angry or sad, and feels that there is a tacit understanding surrounding them.
Just like friends.
Ron and Harry stared at Hermione with their mouths open.
She was the last person to break school rules, and now she was lying about breaking school rules to get them out of trouble. It was almost like Snape started handing out candy to everyone, unbelievable.
"Miss Granger, Gryffindor will be deducted five points for this incident," Professor McGonagall said.
"I'm very disappointed in you. If you're not hurt at all, it's best to go back to Gryffindor Castle. The students are all enjoying Halloween dinner in their houses."
Hermione was really about to cry now, and Professor McGonagall couldn't bear to look away.
Hermione's eyes were red, her mouth was flat, and she left first.
Professor McGonagall turned to Rigg, Harry and Ron.
"Well, I still have to say you're lucky, not many first-year students can compete with an adult troll."
Professor McGonagall looked at Rigg and sighed.
She liked the smart students very much, but something always happened to them.
"You have each earned five points for Gryffindor. I will inform Professor Dumbledore of this. You may go."
They hurried out of the room and climbed two flights of stairs without saying a word.
Finally they could no longer smell the stench of the troll, and they breathed a sigh of relief.
"We should have won by more than ten points," Ron grumbled.
This was when he made a breakthrough and successfully used the levitation spell to save Hermione!
Ron still seems to be in a dream, feeling that nothing is real.
"Only ten points, including the points she deducted from Hermione." Rigg corrected.
"Hermione is so kind, she stepped forward and got us out of trouble." Ron admitted, "But don't forget, we did save her."
"If we hadn't locked her up with that thing, she might not have needed to be rescued at all." Harry reminded Ron.
Ron returned to reality now.
The three of them walked slowly all the way to the portrait of the Fat Lady.
"Pig nose." After saying the password, they got in.
The common room was crowded and noisy. Everyone was eating the food that was served.
Only Hermione stood alone at the door, waiting for them.
Harry and Ron looked at each other, and they were pushed by Rigg.
Then, no one of them looked at each other, they just lowered their heads and said something.
"Thank you Hermione, we said the wrong thing before and I'm sorry."
He hurried to his plate.
Ron and Harry's faces were red and they were looking at their plates in a daze.
Rigg didn't have the awkward mentality like them where they rarely lowered their heads to apologize, so he picked up a slice of a perfectly grilled baguette coated with honey and ate happily.
However, from that moment on, Hermione Granger became their friend.
