Chapter 893: Disaster and Fortune (1)
As soon as Modoye's guess came out, the faces of all the people around him who remembered the scriptures and did not remember the scriptures could not help but change, and his eyes looked at the people around him became alert.
No wonder these powerful people in the Buddha realm have changed like this, just because the Great Dao True Sutra is so precious. For those who have been stuck in one place for many years and have not gained something for many years of hard practice, the Great Dao True Sutra is no less precious than a Mahayana Buddha treasure.
In the Buddhist world, there are thousands of scriptures of various types. Not to mention the three most important scriptures, treatises and Scriptures in the Buddhist scriptures, there are thousands of books, such as miscellaneous scriptures, discourses and interpretations of the side branches. Although there are countless scriptures in the Buddhist world, there are not many scriptures that really point directly to the great way. Even if some scriptures involve the great way, they will often be mentioned in one stroke, and rarely leave useful content.
It is said that there are only eight true sutras in the Buddha world, all of which were passed down from ancient times. These eight sutras were divided by the earliest four major sects, including the Buddha vehicle, Bodhisattva vehicle, Arhat vehicle, Vajrayana vehicle, etc., and are all stored in the deepest part of the inner door of each sect. A large number of strong people in the Buddha world are protected by them. Only those who occupy the top of each sect are qualified to read this sutra. Therefore, almost more than 90% of the entire Buddha world have never seen a word of the true sutra in their lives, which shows how rare it is.
Although those who remember scriptures only remember one or two sentences, they are sure that as long as they understand these or two sentences thoroughly, they will be enough to improve their cultivation to a great level.
"It is not certain whether this is the scripture of the Great Way. I need to go back and meditate for a while before I can talk about it." Someone immediately found an excuse to leave, for fear that someone would be greedy for the scripture he remembered to leave him.
When they saw someone leaving, the rest could not sit still. They all found an excuse to leave. As for those who did not remember the scriptures, they did not stay for a long time. They knew very well that their cultivation was not as good as those who remember the scriptures, and it was impossible for those who remembered the scriptures to get something from those people. The best way to deal with it is to pass the news of the appearance of the Great Dao True Sutra in Duobao Sect back to the Zongcheng.
Soon, the other powerful Buddhists in the Buddhist world in the sects left one after another, and the ascetic monks such as Moduoye did not stop them, and they ordered their disciples to send away the mortal believers who were still confused and confused and did not know what happened. Soon, only the ascetic monks such as Moduoye were left in the square.
"Is that really the true scripture of the Great Dao? Will it be false?" said a ascetic who did not remember the scriptures in a deep voice.
"There is absolutely no false, it is indeed the true scripture of the Great Dao." Modoye replied with great affirmation.
Someone suggested, "What are the scriptures you remember? Tell them out and listen. Let me also learn more about them, and maybe you will gain something."
"It's good." Modhaya did not refuse, but was about to read out the scriptures he remembered. However, he was stunned very quickly, with his mouth open, and his expression on his face seemed to be a ghost.
When the person next to him saw Modoye's abnormal behavior, he couldn't help but ask worriedly: "Master, what's wrong with you?"
"No, it's okay!" Modoye came to his senses and signaled the people next to him to rest as he was a little restless. Then he opened his mouth again, looking like he wanted to say something. But no sound came out of his mouth, and a shocked expression gradually appeared on his face. He murmured to himself: "I didn't expect the legend to be true, I didn't expect the legend to be true."
"What legend is true?" someone said in confusion.
Modhaya ignored the inquiry and said to others who had remembered the scriptures, "See if you can tell the scriptures you remember?"
Seeing Modha was so strange, everyone was a little impatient, and some people even thought that Modha was mysterious to cover up the purpose of saying the Great Way scriptures he did not want to remember. However, those who were suspicious and dissatisfied soon felt something was wrong, because they found that the other people who remembered the scriptures all looked the same as Modha, all with shocked faces, and opened their mouths, but could not say a word.
"The Dharma does not pass through the six ears. Could it be that the Dharma does not pass through the six ears?" An ascetic monk who was familiar with the sutras and treatises said in surprise.
For a long time, the Dharma not passed on to Liu Er is a legend in the Three Realms of Kunlun. The legend records that when the ancient great sages sat on the altar to preach the Dharma, the words in their words were in harmony with the heaven and earth, and contained the principles of the great way. Although there was only one content from the words they said, they were different from others. Moreover, no matter what they heard, they only knew it themselves. It was impossible to say it again and give it to a third person. This legend is widely circulated in the Three Realms of Kunlun. Almost all practitioners know that many people would borrow this sentence when they preached the Dharma to their decent disciples, but there was no one who had truly seen the Dharma not passed on to Liu Er.
"Impossible?" Some people said with some doubts.
Someone glanced at him and said, "Apart from this legend, can you find other explanations?"
Some people argued with it: "Do you think there are still ancient sages in the three realms of Kunlun today?"
"No matter whether this is the Dharma or not, there is no need for us to continue discussing it." Modoye interrupted the debate among the crowd at this time, and said with a very solemn expression: "We should pay more attention to who the old monk Youfang is?"
"The old monk probably won't have any malicious intentions to us, right?" Someone said in a deep voice: "If there is malicious intention, how could he tell us such a precious true scripture of the Great Dao? With this Great Dao scripture, the cultivation of several people can be broken through in a short period of time, and it is not impossible to enter the strongest realm. As long as we become the great master of title, so many treasure sects will be able to gain a firm foothold in Wanfoshan and even go to..."
"It's too early to say there is no malice." Before the man finished speaking, someone retorted: "Don't forget that we are not the only ones who heard the Great Dao scriptures. Others have also heard and remembered the scriptures. If you think they were spreading it, we have the Great Dao scriptures here. What will happen to Wanfo Mountain and other Lingshan Mountains?" As he said that, he looked calm and gave the answer directly: "We will be the target of public criticism."
"But we don't have the true scriptures of the Great Dao?" A disciple of an ascetic monk couldn't help but interrupt, "Just tell them..."
The ascetic monk opened his mouth before he could finish his disciples and said, "Silly! Do you think they would believe such words?"
"Okay! Now is not the time to teach your disciples." Moduoye stopped his fellow disciples and waved to the disciple, signaling him to leave. At the same time, he also signaled that other disciples had the same identity as the people left. Only a few ascetic monks who created the Duobao Sect were left in the square, and then he said with a serious expression: "No matter whether the old monk has malicious intentions or not, we will have some trouble this time. If things really cannot be solved, we may have to give up here, find a place to practice for a while, and wait until we have thoroughly understood the scriptures we remembered before coming out again."
Some people seemed to feel a little reluctant to have just created this foundation, and said with a lucky look: "It's not so bad, right?"
"Prepare the worst plan for everything." The oldest ascetic among them lowered his eyes slightly and said calmly.
Although some people feel reluctant, they have to agree with Modha's decision. Although they are a little unwilling, this is the best and safest way for them.
Seeing the expressions shown by everyone, Modhaya also knew everyone’s choice, so he made the final decision and said, “Let’s do it! Everyone goes back and prepares, ready to leave at any time.”
When everyone heard this, they looked at each other and couldn't help but sigh.
Just when these ascetic monks were struggling with the great benefits of suddenly falling on them, they did not know that their every move was seen by those who gave them difficulties.
After the lecture, Xu Changqing did not leave immediately, but moved to the forest outside the manor, observing every move here with his divine thoughts.
Xu Changqing did not have malicious intentions as these ascetic monks guessed. He could recite that passage of scriptures with a temporary intention. The Duobao Sutra he taught to Jiayala can be said to be mortal scriptures, specially compiled for ordinary mortals without cultivation qualifications. The Duobao Sutra adapted by ascetic monks such as Moduoye has added a part that Buddhist practitioners can use. Although it was not from Xu Changqing's first hand, the content was very consistent with the Duobao Sutra, and even Xu Changqing would not be better compiled. However, due to the cultivation, realm, vision, knowledge, etc. of Moduoye and others, the Duobao Sutra they compiled is only suitable for people in the Buddha realm below the realm of Hedao Realm. As for Hedao Realm and Even Hedao Realm, it is somewhat difficult, and even impossible to be useful.
While Xu Changqing heard Moduoye explaining the Nirvana Samsara of the Duobao Sutra, his mind also reorganized the Duobao Sutra in the state of Taoism, making it become the Great Way true scripture that can lead practitioners to enter the Great Way to understand. After sorting it out, Xu Changqing tried to explain it in front of these people, and the final result was beyond expectations. Although it was just a scripture, it was enough to allow those strong Buddhas who had touched the most powerful realm to enter the Supreme Way without any obstacles. However, because he also mixed some of the principles of reincarnation that can only be understood by the realm of celestial immortals, those people were also affected when they remembered the scriptures and could not remember the complete scriptures.
As for the so-called Dharma not being passed down by these ascetic monks is completely unrelated to the legend of the ancient great sages in the Kunlun Three Realms. The reason why those ascetic monks cannot express the scriptures they remember is just a kind of self-defense of their own mind. Because the scriptures they remember are all scriptures that are in line with their original mind. If they are told casually, people may find out the way of their original minds, and even be used to counter them.
