Chapter 353, Relics are not dead bones, saving body and mind is a famous mountain

Chapter 353, Relics are not dry bones, but are known as Lingshan

The book secretly states that the young man named Han Yu, whose name is Tuizhi, is Mr. Changli, who was respected by his descendants as "the decline of the eight generations of literary generations" and "the literary generations of literary generations". If he talks about poetry, Taibai is the most famous throughout the ages, and if he discusses essays, Changli is the literary generations of literary generations. The young man next to Han Yu is Han Xiang, the son of his brother Han Hui.

Han Yu became orphan at the age of three and was raised by his elder brother Han Hui. Han Hui was Han Yu's half-brother, and he was over 20 years older than him. Han Hui was once an official in Chang'an and was later demoted to Shaozhou. When Han Yu was twelve, Han Hui died. At that time, the war continued. The brother and sister-in-law Zheng brought his younger brother Han Yu and his son Han Xiang to Wuzhou, Jiangnan to settle down.

Han Yu spent his teenage years in Wuzhou. Because of his industrial relationship with the Mei family, he and his nephew Han Xiang both studied in Mei's private school. At the age of nineteen, Han Yu left Wuzhou to take the Jinshi exam. He failed the three consecutive exams and returned to Wuzhou to visit his sister-in-law's family. He calmed down and prepared to go to Chang'an to take the exam again. He was twenty-three years old this year.

Han Yu was very young and had no prominent reputation. It was normal for him to not pass the Jinshi at this time, but he would not feel very good when he returned home after the third exam. His nephew accompanied him around to relax. He just came back from the Wenchang Township Temple Fair that day, and his uncle and nephew walked and chatted.

Han Xiang asked, "At the temple fair, a few monks were like holy monks, and it would be fine if their uncle didn't give alms, so why did they scold them in public? Those villagers were frightened to see you like this."

Han Yu shook his head and said, "It's not that I want to scold me, but that they seek it themselves. The villagers worshipped the Buddha with piousness and rushed to offer sacrifices. That's fine. What's more, some parents and wives lived in a cold house, but they dispersed money and property in Buddhism. Some people were also injuring their bodies to offer sacrifices, which was very unkind and unfilial... Those fat monks came to me and saw that I had not bowed piously, and even scolded me for disrespecting Buddhist affairs. Isn't this a person who is looking for a scolding? If you don't denounce these people, who can denounce them?"

Han Xiang smiled: "Uncle is so sharp that he can repel those fat monks without saying a word. But when they left, they curse you for retribution, and the villagers were all frightened."

Han Yu said calmly: "If Buddha has a spirit, he can do evil and evil. If any disaster or fault is added to me, God can see it, and I will have no fear or resentment."

Han Xiang smiled again: "If Buddha has a spirit, how can he cause disaster? Those who cause disasters are evil, not Buddha. The so-called disasters are often brought by the world, what does it have to do with Buddha? My uncle is very dissatisfied with the popularity of Buddhism today?"

These words were what they said when they walked out of the market and were heard from afar by Mei Zhenyi. We need to introduce the social background at that time. The world had just experienced war and people's mood often changed with the environment. Seeing a desolate heart and a deserted heart, it is often the time when the most needed to find spiritual sustenance to fill the emptiness. The world is weak and the Buddhist incense is very popular.

As mentioned earlier, temples in the Tang Dynasty were not only temples for worshiping Buddha, but also many other social functions. For example, temple fairs were also markets. Temples were also equivalent to today's financial institutions, which issued interest-free loans to believers, but required real estate deeds as collateral, which can also be regarded as a special pawnshop.

When someone is short of money, the temple provides interest-free loans. This is of course a good deed, at least from the starting point of Buddhist teachings. When there is no hidden danger in peace and prosperity, but when the world is in turmoil, the people cannot repay the loans due to fleeing, abandoning wasteland, etc., and a large amount of real estate and land belongs to the temple.

The temples seem to have no interest on lending, but the mortgages of the people are not worthwhile in turbulent and deserted years. The temples are equivalent to purchasing a large amount of temple property at a low price while taking advantage of the famine and war. If you meet a temple owner who will make a profit, this trick will be even more ruthless. Many real estates and fields are just like picking up for nothing. One factor in the destruction of the equal-field system in the middle of the Tang Dynasty was war and another very important factor was land annexation.

According to the laws and regulations at that time, temples did not pay taxes and temple monks did not perform labor service, which put great pressure on local people's livelihood and national finances. Ordinary people generally could not see these clearly, and more people went to temples to worship Buddha. Buddhism in the world was very popular, with few monks practicing, and many monks who were full of energy and powerful. People like Han Yu naturally couldn't stand it.

In fact, Mei Zhenyi had this premonition in her early years. Now that the premonition has become a reality, I will naturally pay attention to it when I hear the words of this uncle and nephew. (Note: See chapter 249 of this book for details)

"My merit is practiced, and you do not rely on faith in empty words! If you talk about faith without action, the so-called Shariputra Buddha's finger is nothing but the dry bones in the tomb." Han Yu sighed and replied.

Han Xiang shook his head again and said, "The finger of the Sari Buddha is the finger of the Sari Buddha. If what people see in the spiritual platform of the world are dry bones in the tomb, then the offerings on the altar are no different from the dry bones in the tomb... My uncle talked about the current Buddhist affairs and said it from the dry bones in the tomb, but yesterday he taught me how to write articles, why did he say it was retro?"

Han Yu said seriously: "This ancient times was simple, not dry bones. Since ancient times, poetry expressed his aspirations and literature was carried on the way. Since the Later Han Dynasty, literature was popular and dedicated to the ingenuity. It seeks the strange and strange form and the subtlety of the spirit. Articles have been passed down through the ages, and should be concise and straightforward to solve the doubts." What he called "literature" at this moment is not a narrow literature or article, but a broad academic style.

Han Xiang nodded and said, "The pre-Qin dynasties and the writings of Taishi Gong have such simple style. Is it really not as good as those of the ancients today?"

Han Yu pondered: "There are indeed things that are not as good as the ancients today, but we cannot say that the present is not as good as the ancients. We should study the style of thinking about learning. A sage has no constant teacher, and a teacher does not have to be as good as his disciples. The world is changing day by day, and the world is learning day by day. There is a way of teaching for thousands of years, but no teacher is learning for thousands of years."

Han Xiang also pondered: "The way of success will always exist before heaven and earth, and the use of things will lead to the knowledge of heaven and earth. Treat people's learning, research, seek, and use of others."

This conversation was indifferent to the style of the world and the style of writing, and even mentioned the evolution of history. It should be clear that Han Yu was not Mr. Changli, the descendants respected by his descendants, but just an ordinary young student. It is not easy to say such a truth. And what Han Xiang said was actually familiar with the enlightenment.

While my uncle and nephew were talking, a Taoist priest wearing a jade hairpin came towards me and stepped forward to bow and bowed and said, "Xiao Dao's surname is Mei, a native of Wuzhou. He has just heard what I have said. I have proved what I think. I will show up to thank you!... If you don't feel abrupt, can you invite a tea shop to Xiaoxu?"

Don’t remember when I came to the road, there was a tea shop next to me. Uncle and nephew Han Yu looked around and saw that there was really one. There were several grass pavilions in two rooms, with curtains in the wind, tables and chairs in the grass pavilion, and long tables were placed in front of the door of the house. All the tea-making utensils on the table should be complete. A beautiful woman stood in front of the tea shop to welcome guests, and a scholar waving a fan was drinking tea in the grass pavilion.

He pretended to be a tea girl, and King Xu pretended to be a tea shop. Mei Zhenyi changed into a tea shop to invite the uncle and nephew of the Han family to sit down. Seeing that this morale was extraordinary, the tea shop was clean and elegant, and the tea shop was very beautiful. Uncle and nephew Han Yu were just tired of walking and were thirsty, so he didn't refuse and sat down in the grass pavilion.

The uncle and nephew of the Han family introduced themselves. In fact, Mei Zhenyi knew who they were. She greeted her very politely and was willing to hold the cooked tea and refreshments. After savoring several sips, Han Yu repeatedly praised the good tea, while Han Xiang's eyes were curious and kept looking around, and seemed to have unusual interest in this tea shop.

"Master, when will this tea shop be opened? Why don't I remember passing by before?" Han Xiang asked while taking the opportunity to serve tea.

Ying Yuan smiled slightly: "This is indeed a newly opened teahouse. It's natural that you haven't seen it before." Han Xiang blinked when he heard this, as if he wanted to say something but did not continue to ask.

"This young man has excellent roots and understanding, and is just in line with practicing the alchemy you have preached. I didn't expect that Master Mei would be able to make another connection to spread the Dharma in this time. If he is a little monster, I will fight with you for his disciple." The Fairy King Xu, who was drinking tea on another table, said with a divine thought.

"If Brother Xu has the intention to spread the Dharma, I will personally enlighten the immortal fate. I will not compete with you." Mei Zhenyi replied with a divine thought.

King Xu Yaowang: "In terms of cultivation and knowledge, I am not as good as you. In terms of rigorous inheritance and profound origin, I cannot compare with the Zhengyi School. You should plant the good seedlings... But I see that you are more interested in Han Yu, and even a little respectful. He is not a person who has the fate of cultivating immortals in this life."

Mei Zhenyi: "When discussing things in the world, we cannot compare only with the level of cultivation and the profound magic power. For example, I have already achieved the Golden Immortal, but I dare not discuss the achievements of cultivation in front of my teacher Sun Simiao. This is the same with Mr. Han Yu."

King Xu Yaowang: "It seems that he is not easy to get the comments from Zhenren Mei. You can chat slowly, I will drink my tea."

While drinking tea, Mei Zhenyi said to Han Yu in a tone of consultation: "When I was a young man, I read the "The Treatise on the Three Sects" by Sun Simiao, a senior real person, and I deeply agree with it. Today, I heard from Mr. "The relics are nothing more than dry bones in the tomb" and "there are thousands of years of teacher's way" and so on. But Mr.'s words, if those who do not understand the true meaning seem to be contrary to each other when they hear it, how do they view the theory of the Three Sects of the previous generations?"

Han Yu waved his hand and said, "Han, a scholar, Taoist master, don't call it a master....Learn the learning of the three religions, it is used by people today, choose the places where they can teach and explain it to future generations...But later generations do not ascend to immortality by praise of the Tao, worship Buddha and become Buddhas, praise Confucianism and become saints, and vice versa. If you stick to this, don't talk about the theory of the three religions, even if you understand the theory of the hundred religions, you will have nothing to gain."

Mei Zhenyi smiled and said, "Sir, don't be humble. If you have a word to prove it, you can learn from me. However, Mencius said, 'The trouble of human beings is to be a teacher'. What do you understand, sir?"

Han Yu: "The trouble lies in 'good behavior', not in 'man teacher', but in the fault of a person's fault lies in the teacher's fault. The Master said 'If three people walk, there must be my teacher'. This is the behavior of a gentleman. The predecessors left their respects to future generations, while later generations can take care of the body and mind. If you don't learn it, think about it, practice it, and advance it, then nothing will be accomplished."

"Han Xiang, have you ever studied at the Mei Family School in Wuzhou?" The Fairy King Xu on the next table suddenly turned around and asked Han Xiang who had not spoken.

"Do you know me? Yes, I have been studying at Mei Family School for three years." Although he was a stranger, Han Xiang still answered politely.

"You should have learned how to save your body and mind," asked Xu Yaowang again.

Han Xiang replied regretfully: "This is the private school of Mei family. I am already in danger of being able to attend Mei family school, but I have no choice but to pass on it."

The so-called "reducing the body and mind, adjusting the body and mind" is the first six levels of the cave heavenly teachings created by Mei Zhenyi. Later, Mei Yingxing combined the "reducing the body technique" taught by his ancestor Sun Simiao to improve it. It is more suitable for ordinary people who have not entered the path of practice, as a method of health preservation that can be adjusted to control the body and mind on a daily basis. If you have qualifications and high-level understanding, you can get a glimpse into the path of practice from this path, and then you will need guidance from the master.

However, after Han Xiang's tone, the descendants of the Mei family wanted to be respectful without permission, and Han Xiang did not learn it in the Mei family's school.

Mei Zhenyi asked his younger brother Zhenting to set up a private school. It was of course a merit and good deed. It was impossible for the family to cover all the good deeds of Wuzhou. He set an example for the local prominent families. Subsequently, the major prominent families in Wuzhou had the conditions to follow the Mei family and set up a private school. Of course, the Mei family school was the best.

The Mei Family School taught not only articles, scriptures, but also various economics, laws, and mathematics at that time, so many specialized tutors were hired. With the conditions at that time, even if a family from a good family was not in good condition, it would be difficult for him to invite so many teachers. Although Han Xiangfei's Mei Family members could enter the Mei Family School, they would naturally benefit from it.

However, "Saving the body and mind, adjusting the photos" should be publicly revealed. The descendants of the Mei family kept their own respects and were not Mei's original intention, nor could Mei Yingxing instructed him. Mei Yingxing is not young this year. As the head of the Mei family, it is impossible for him to take care of the daily trivial matters of the family school by himself. This is the fault of the servant, but it is also his negligence.

This cannot be blamed for the poor teaching of Mei Yingxing's master Li Yuanzhong. Mei Zhenyi, who was under Sun Simiao's disciple, was also negligent and was awakened by Mr. Cheng Xuanhu.

Mei Zhenyi immediately turned into a clone and quietly went to Jingwu Villa to teach her son to pay attention to establishing a family precept and not to do anything like this in the future. Her Dharma body was still sitting in her original place to drink tea with Han Yu's uncle and nephew. Han Yu said: "Han Xiang, a person stands in the world to reflect on his body and mind, not to stop this disciple... However, this is not a patent for making a living, but to cultivate the body and mind, and to show his self-respect. We cannot blame him, so we can't just apply it."

Mei Family School does not say that "reducing the body and mind, six-in-one adjustment and photography" is unnecessary in Han Yu's opinion, but he cannot blame others. He just told Han Xiang that he did not have to follow his example.

Han Yu bowed to Mei Zhenyi again and said, "The Taoist priest surname is Mei and is a local person. If I have any disrespect for this, I hope I will forgive you!"

Mei Zhenyi hurriedly returned the greeting: "What the gentleman said is so much, what are you doing to be respectful?... I will not hide it from the Mei family in Wuzhou. This volume of "Saving the Body and Mind and Soul" is a teaching that is passed down from generation to generation, and I will give it to Han Xiang if I have the chance, otherwise I would violate the teachings of my ancestors."

Mei Zhenyi took out a volume of books and gave it to Han Xiang. Han Xiang refused and claimed that he would accept it. After drinking the tea, Han Yu's uncle and nephew said goodbye and left. Xu Yaowang smiled and said, "Han Xiang is suspicious and will come back to find this teahouse sooner or later."

Mei Zhenyi twisted her beard and said, "If he comes, he will have a destiny."

Ying Yuan asked, "Master has taken this tea shop, are we going to the market?"

Mei Zhenyi smiled and shook her head: "I have gained something from here, so you don't have to wander around with me anymore and go back to the mountain!"

...

Back at Zhengyi Sanshan, Xiaozhu, Zhiyan's first words when he saw Mei Zhenyi were: "Congratulations, enlightenment will be beneficial!"

Mei Zhenyi: "How did you see it?"
