Chapter 3 Alive

The attacker gave up his bow and arrow and ran towards Dunk with a grim smile. His steps were wild and wild, as if he was dancing an evil dance.

Enna raised her upper body and saw the attacker's appearance:

A ferocious gray orc, with a wide jaw, two small fangs drilled out of his mouth, his eyes were completely scarlet, and the bow and arrow were attached to his naked back, carrying a broken two-handed axe in his hand. The axe body twisted around with his distorted steps.

This is a gray orc who is performing some kind of ritual! Only after successfully killing the prey by decapitation can he complete the ritual. The axe with both hands is raised above his head. The cruel gray orc walked closer several steps.

Dunk gritted his teeth and the chanting was approaching the end, and he interrupted the meeting and wasted all his efforts. Only by ending the chanting as soon as possible will there be a glimmer of hope!

Enna raised her arm and pointed forward, and a green light shot into the feet of the gray orc. Then she fainted again.

Several vines broke out of the ground, tightly wrapped around the gray orc's ankles, fixed him in place, and then quickly wrapped upwards along his torso. The calves, thighs, hips and the axes on both hands were tightly wrapped by the dark green vines after a few breaths.

"...Svcxe'tie!" Dunk screamed at the last syllable!

"Natural symptom: Successfully release 'healing'. Affected by the druid's 'first birth' characteristics, the healing effect is twice as high."

The originally paralyzed, the stiff thighs regained consciousness. Correspondingly, the drilling pain caused by the arrow rushed straight to the forehead! The sudden and severe pain did not defeat Dunk's will. He crawled tremblingly and crawled it close to the black arrow inserted into the ground, pulling it out with force. A stream of blood immediately popped out of his thigh. The wound that had just healed was torn apart again.

The arrow has triangular edges on the arrow, and there are thin barbs on the tail. After being pulled out from the soil, the edges still shine with cold light. The most important thing is that the arrow is heavier and the center of gravity of the entire arrow is in front of it, so it can be used to throw it!

The gray orc threw the axe with his hands on the ground in front of him, tearing the vines on his body with both hands. The vines that lost their magic source quickly turned from the initial tough dark green to a soft light brown color. Large pieces of withered branches were thrown to the ground.

Seeing that the gray orc was about to break free from the shackles, Dunk shouted:

"Fuck you*!!"

The black arrow was thrown at the gray orc. Dunk rushed forward with his body inertia, kicked his legs, and crawled forward with his hands and axe in distortion. His injured thighs kept spraying blood beads upwards.

The gray orc who had just broken free from the vines shortened, barely avoided the black arrows thrown horizontally, rolled on the spot, and took up the axe on the ground before Dunk.

"Ho ho ho!" The gray orc stood up again, laughed and looked desperate with a look of contempt for Dunk, and suddenly raised his hands and axe!

The bushes swayed, and the white elk jumped out and flew to the executioner. The deer head pushed hard towards the bridge of his nose. With a chirping, the gray orc's nose bridge was crooked, and two dark green nosebleeds were sprayed. The axe with both hands tilted in his hands and fell to the ground.

The white elk whimpered and fled into the bushes on the other side with half-cut antlers. After seeing the white elk, Dunk immediately kicked the ground with his feet. For a moment, his mind was dizzy, his eyes were filled with stars, and his whole body was soaked with cold sweat and blood.

As soon as he touched the handle of the axe with both hands, a soft and weak attacked his heart, and his eyelids could no longer be controlled. There was no hope of counterattack... He had tried his best...

It seems that I can fight back and kill, but I can only appear in my dreams...Dunk used his last strength to drag the axe with his hands into his arms, locking it with his chin and his tangled limbs.

The continuous punches hit him on the back made him lock tighter. The pain stimulated him to open his eyes slightly. In his hazy vision, the scene of a grey orc hitting a hand axe in the middle of his eyebrows and slowly falling down.

Saved...Dunk's heart relaxed, and his hands slid from his arms. Two wipes of tears finally flowed out after a long time. He felt his body cold and fell rapidly, and was about to fall into eternal darkness.

"Smack!"

"Can't sleep!" The voice's owner slapped Dunk three times in the face.

A hot stream of heat was poured into his mouth. The choking spirit made Dunk's body twitch and undulate. A bite came from his legs, followed by a scorching burning sensation.

"Stand by!"

"Stand by!"

The ethereal voice of the rescuer kept echoing in Dunk's mind.

"Boncats!!! Here!!!"

It seems that more people are coming here. Dunk can feel himself being lifted up.

....

I don't know how long it took, when Dunk regained some consciousness, his extremely weak breathing made him wonder whether he was still alive. The weakness and weakness that penetrated deep into his bone marrow covered every corner of his body. He couldn't help but miss dizziness and nausea.

A gentle and melodious murmur sounded in his ears like a chorus ensemble. Dunk wanted to open his eyes to see the source of the sound. But his eyelids were pounding slightly, and he had no intention of cooperating at all.

A soft and gentle hand was stroked on his forehead. Dunk fell into a deep sleep again.

.....

"How is this little guy?" The visitor's voice was rough, mixed with low consonants. He walked towards the wounded on the bed with alcohol all over his body.

Dunk's nose blew a few times.

"Oh! He looks like he is recovering well..." The visitor who had not finished speaking was driven out by others.

....

"Hu..." Dunk breathed out, his breathing long, as if he wanted to discharge all the gas in his chest. After a few breaths, he almost suffocated and found the feeling of inhaling again.

After opening my eyes, a bright blurry scene gradually became clear with the focus. This is a wooden house. The dark brown flat roof consists of several painted wooden poles, and the same is true for the walls around me.

Dunk was lying on the bed beside the window with a half quilt on his body, looking at the view outside the window with his eyes empty. A few white clouds floated on the completely blue sky. Such a pure and simple scene could make him, who had escaped from death, immersed in it.

The door was gently pushed open.

"You're awake."

"You...hehe...hehe...hello" Dunk looked at the door. The light by the window formed a gap between the dimness at the door. He could only roughly see a slender outline.

The visitor walked slowly, and the sunlight spread from her feet to the plain robe on her body, reflecting a bright light, and the room immediately became bright.

It's Enna.

She had long silver-white shawl hair, and her two slender ears showed a pink-white corner from it. Under her faint light white eyebrows were a pair of moist eyes, with a hint of green between the waves of her eyes. Her skin was white and smooth, and she felt as moist as jade. Enna, wearing a plain robe, looked colder, but the slight rise of the corner of her mouth brought her and Dunk closer.

"How did you feel?" Enna sat on the wooden bench beside the bed, facing Dunk, fiddling with bottles and jars on the table.

"Not bad. Well...it's great to be alive." Dunk watched her stir all kinds of liquids together, with skillful movements without a trace of collision.

"You don't look like you are here."

Enna's words were very calm, but Dunk felt nervous after hearing this. He didn't know how to explain: "Uh...yes, I'm from..."

“Karatu?”

"Yes, that's it." The slightly excited response made the muscles in the back numb, and Dunk's mouth silenced.

"Karatu is indeed a magical place, the people there are different, even you." Enna got up and walked to the bedside, putting a small bottle on the head of the bed.

"Your trauma has healed, but you have too much blood loss and your body is very weak. This is the potion for conditioning."

"Oh... OK, thank you..." Dunk stood up with Enna's help and poured the potion into his mouth. The taste was light, like adding salted sugar water, soaking the cracked throat.

Dunk, who was lying back flat, frowned slightly, stared at the ceiling with his eyes for two seconds, and asked with a little hesitation: "Are we... in the continent of Feren?"

"Yes." Enna looked at Dunk, thinking that he was in good spirits, at least he had no amnesia.

Dunk took a long breath to calm down his inner excitement, looked at Enna and asked calmly, "Well, how many years have you been in the valley now?"

"Now is the 3rd day of the flowering period of the valley calendar in 1318.... I'm temporarily missing." After that, Enna raised her robe and walked out slowly with a smile, leaving Dunk to recover quietly in the room.

Dunk on the bed watched Enna leave with his back, his eyes blank and his eyes drifted out the window.
