Chapter 64 Storytelling
School doctor Mrs. Pomfrey treated the wounds with just a few simple spells, and then she gave the three of them a bottle of joy, "This is good for you!" Harry rolled his eyes when he was choked.
"Poppy, please give us a few more minutes," Dumbledore said gently.
Mrs. Pomfrey turned and left.
There were only threesomes at the scene, Dumbledore and Felix, and Snape was sent by the principal to find Professor McGonagall - they would go to the secret room later to deal with the corpse of the basilisk.
"I think you must have a lot to say." Dumbledore's eyes fell on the table next to him, with a branch hat and a silver sword inlaid with rubies.
Harry began to tell them the whole story. He said that when he was in a confinement in Professor Lockhart's office, he heard a bodyless, wandering voice for the first time. Combined with the information Hermione got from Professor Hepp, he confirmed that he was a snake-like accent.
"But because of the bad reputation of the Snake accent, I concealed it, and there was no attack at that time." Harry said with some shame.
"Everyone has his own secret and he doesn't want to be spyed on." Dumbledore said understandingly, which made Harry feel a little more uncomfortable.
He also mentioned that after the first attack, they discovered the phenomenon of spiders in the castle fleeing, and learned from Myrtle that she was the victim of the opening of the secret room fifty years ago. Harry specifically mentioned that on the day Myrtle was attacked, he heard a boy's voice, which was also the biggest evidence for them to judge the entrance of the secret room.
Dumbledore couldn't help but clap his hands and admire him.
"It was Hermione's inference," Harry did not take the credit, and Hermione waved her hand shyly.
Then there was the second attack. Speaking of this, Harry had a strong impulse in his heart, wanting to express their suspicion of Malfoy. Dumbledore must be able to find something, right?
But he had just plucked up the courage, and Snape and Professor McGonagall pushed the door and walked in. When Professor McGonagall saw the three of them in a mess, he couldn't help but cover his chest, "Oh, my god, what have you all experienced? Professor Snape said that you recklessly challenged the monsters in the secret room... If this is true, I will detain you..."
"Mileva," Dumbledore interrupted, "and Severus, you are here just in time, let us listen to their adventures and make the final judgment."
So, two more people listened to the story.
Harry opened his mouth and finally swallowed his suspicion about Malfoy. He began to tell the key information he learned from Hermione that the snake can control the snake - this is how Slytherin did, and then learned from Hagrid about the existence of the eight-eyed giant spider Aragork and its fear of the basilisk.
"And those dead chickens!" Ron reminded him.
"Yes, many chickens that Hager has raised died, and he thought they were done by the foxes." Harry added, "We almost used this information to piece together the truth about the secret room."
"I want to know more about how this series of things happened tonight?" Dumbledore nodded in praise first, and then he asked.
Then, Harry continued to talk about them slid out of the auditorium and was about to find Professor Happ to explain the situation. Snape let out a "swish" sound. He heard the basilisk again in the middle, so they saved Justin. Harry asked the others to ask the professor for help, and he stared at the basilisk to prevent it from attacking others.
"What a noble act, Harry," Dumbledore said softly.
"But what I saw was just a reckless and arrogant adventure. Principal Dumbledore, you gave them too many privileges." Snape played the role of cold water with a stern face.
Felix watched with interest. Snape's disgust towards Harry Potter was really unconcealed, but he stood up as soon as Harry was in danger...
Thinking of what he had investigated, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up.
"We cannot make arbitrary judgments, Severus."
Then, Ron and Hermione talked about some of their experiences respectively. Hermione had nothing to say. She just ran around the empty castle for a few minutes and met Professor Hayp.
Ron's story is much more exciting. Not only did he attack the professor (Lohart), he also snatched his wand. In panic - Ron tried to beautify himself when he told the story - he came to the bathroom and realized that Harry was not carrying a powerful magic puppet, so he jumped down and became a "takeout hero".
"By the way, Principal," Ron said with some trepidation, "Professor Lockhart's wand was swallowed by the snake monster. Do I want to compensate him?" His own wand was still half broken.
"This is indeed a problem. Gidro is a little unlucky lately...I will talk to him." Dumbledore said in a relaxed tone. "If you are lucky, his wand is still lying intact in the basil monster's belly."
After all the three little wizards talked about some of their experiences, Professor McGonagall said weakly, "What you did tonight is far beyond your responsibilities. I have to add that you have violated at least one hundred school rules along the way - but how did you defeat the Basilisk?"
Harry tells the story of himself and Ron meeting near the snake shed. They walked into the secret room together and then met the basil monster. Speaking of this, Harry suddenly realized that he should have stopped near the snake shed, but he did not think of this at the time.
Could it be that I am really a reckless stupid lion, as Snape said?
The story continues. The two people's unexpected visit violated the psychological bottom line of the Basilisk - it attacked Harry and Ron frantically, until Fox pecked the Basilisk's eyes that they barely had the confidence to face the Basilisk.
"Professor Happ's magic puppet has helped a lot." Harry looked at Felix with gratitude. The professor just smiled and said nothing. His eyes kept stopping on the ragged and dirty sewing hat. So Harry continued to speak, and during this time he looked at Hermione strangely. He didn't know when she came.
Finally, he told the process of his ultimate leap and killing the Basilisk with the cooperation of the three of them. At this point, the whole story finally ended.
Felix slapped, "It's a wonderful adventure, I think your story is enough to publish a book."
"Felix," Snape said in his unique, unfeeling voice, "maybe, you see your own shadow in them..."
"No, Professor Snape," Felix said with ease, "I am completely different from them. They are both excellent Gryffindors, and me and you," he glanced at Snape, "we are standard Slytherins, aren't we?"
"The segregation hat can testify."
