Chapter 58 Basilisk and Parseltongue
"Calm down, Miss Granger!" Felix asked, "You need to tell me how long has it been since the last time you and Harry met? Can you determine his location now? How did he track the Basilisk?"
Hermione quickly said: "No more than 5 minutes, Professor. We speculate that the entrance of the secret room is in Myrtle's bathroom, so we made an appointment to meet there. Harry was locating the Basil monster through the Snakeman's accent..."
"Very good," Felix interrupted her, and he waved his wand and flew a silver light from the tip of the wand, condensing into the air into a small bird, hanging in the air, with a pair of narrow sickle-shaped wings.
Felix said loudly: "President Dumbledore, Harry Potter tracks the Basilica Monster in the Secret Room alone. Please come to the abandoned bathroom of Myrtle, which is likely to be the entrance to the Secret Room."
After saying that, the small bird waved its wings and turned into a stream of light and disappeared in an instant.
"Professor, what kind of magic is this?" Even though the situation was urgent, the little witch couldn't help asking.
"The Guardian Spell, it can help you resist dementors, or send a letter temporarily or something."
"Is that a kind of swift?"
"Well, it's fast."
"Let's go to the bathroom first," Felix said to Hermione. "You can tell me clearly about the incident on the way."
When the two of them all came to Myrtle's bathroom, Felix had figured out the situation.
One hour ago.
Harry, Ron and Hermione sat in the auditorium and finished their supper quickly. They looked at each other and slipped out tacitly.
"Now six twenty," Hermione told the two before the action: "We have about forty minutes, and as long as we come back before seven and return to the common room, no one will notice that we have been out."
They were preparing to show off with Professor Hepp, and after gaining his trust, they would report the secret room information to President Dumbledore.
But something went wrong halfway—
"Tear you apart... and want to kill someone... and long for blood..."
As they passed a dim corridor, Harry suddenly heard the sound, and he shouted, "It's the Basilisk! It's coming out!"
"You heard it?" Ron said nervously.
Harry rushed out, climbing up a staircase, pricking his ears and searching continuously, as he seemed to hear the slightest friction, so he strides, Ron and Hermione followed closely behind.
But the sound was silent, and Harry would lose it from time to time, and he had to climb up and down to confirm his position.
The three of them ran for most of the day, panting with exhaustion.
"It's back? Maybe it's just coming out for a walk?" Ron asked expectantly.
"Absolutely not!" said Harry, "it wants to kill, it says it desires blood!"
"Tear your...target..."
Harry raised his head suddenly, his voice above his head.
“It’s upstairs!”
Harry ran upstairs quickly and left Ron and Hermione far behind.
Turning a corner, he saw Justin coming from the other side of the corridor alone.
"Here comes out...kill people... to pieces..."
Harry's expression was extremely frightened, it was too late. He shouted to Justin loudly: "Close your eyes quickly, Justin! Close your eyes, the snake monster in the secret room is coming out!"
Justin has been hiding from Harry these days, and asked in shock when he heard this, "What?"
Before Harry could explain, he had already clearly heard the "click" sound. It must be a basilisk. It was about to come out and it was going to kill people!
"There are many obstacles!" Harry took out his wand and knocked Justin away with an obstacle spell, with surprise and panic on his face.
Harry threw himself on Justin and wanted to drag him away. It was not easy - Justin struggled desperately after he got rid of the effect of the spell, and the two were entangled.
"What are you going to do? Harry, what are you going to do!"
"Shut up! I'm saving your life!" Harry punched him hard, calming him down, "Listen! The monster in the secret room comes out, its eyes can cause death, so close your eyes quickly."
A rustling sound came, which was particularly clear in the corridor.
Justin closed his eyes tightly, his body trembling. Harry also closed his eyes, fumbled his wand with one hand - his wand fell to the ground during the brief fight between the two.
"Are we going to die, Harry? I don't want to die, Harry, I'm sorry I misunderstood you." Justin said incoherently.
"Shut up!" Harry yelled, and a clear echo echoed in the corridor.
He touched a small wooden stick, which was his magic wand, but he had no way to fight the basilisk, and his eyes were still closed!
A door was knocked open, and the "click" sound was getting closer and closer. Harry judged that the snake monster was less than two meters away from them, maybe its head was hanging in front of him?
He even smelled a pungent fishy smell.
"Get out of here!" he shouted.
"What?" Justin asked tremblingly.
"Not you, leave here!"
Justin only understood the first half of the sentence, and the second half, the creepy sound from Harry's mouth, like the "hiss" of a snake, but it was much more terrifying than that.
It was a snake man, and he immediately woke up.
Harry kept saying snake words, asking the snake monster to "get out of here" and "go back". This worked, and the sound of the snake monster moving stopped.
But it did not stay away, but instead responded, "Murder...the master's order...to tear...to remove the muggles..."
"Leave here!" Ha said in the Snake Lord's accent, "I order you to leave here!" Thanks to his magic scrolls these two days, this made him much more skilled in the Snake Lord's accent.
"The master's order..."
"Your master and I are best friends, we are in the same group, listen! You are very dangerous now, a powerful wizard is coming! Get out of here quickly!" Harry kept urging, he didn't know if he could do it, but what Hermione asked about from Professor Happ said that the snake man could control the snake.
He didn't know whether it was true or not, but he could only pray in his heart that it was true.
Finally, the snake monster took action, Harry held his breath and waited for the judgment of fate - fortunately, the snake monster's sliding sound became farther and farther, and finally disappeared.
"Can't stop killing...the next attack...soon...be patient for too long..." This is what Harry heard from the ceiling, and it seems that the Basilisk has been back in the pipe.
Justin trembled and collapsed on the ground, looking in a state of terror.
"It's over." Harry opened his eyes.
A few dozen seconds later, Hermione and Ron followed from behind with panting, "Harry, what happened?" They lost and took a long way to go.
Harry said with great fear: "The Basilisk wants to attack Justin, I stopped it."
"What-oh, my goodness!" Hermione pointed to the scratch marks on the ground, "This is..."
