Chapter 306 The Horcrux and Hao Qi's Story

The golden locket suddenly stopped trembling, and the frantically twisted gold chain lost all its strength and hit the table. Immediately afterwards, with a crisp "click" sound, its small golden lid bounced open.

They saw the internal structure of the locket. Behind the two small glass windows, there was a living eye blinking, black and bright, clear and bright. Harry felt that if it were not sealed in the small box, the owner of the eye should belong to a living person.

There was a black mist. A hoarse and cold voice came from it, "I saw your heart..." The locket said to Felix, who was closest to him.

"Oh? What about this?" Felix performed brain closure surgery.

"...Felix Hepp, I know you, I can sense everything around you, what is in the book you came here on the first day? Don't deny that I saw your most urgent desire, strength, immortality, beyond death, you want to be the next me."

"Who is this?" Harry cried, Sirius took him back a few steps, and said in a complicated manner: "It's Voldemort, I really didn't expect that he hid himself in a box the size of an egg."

Harry opened his mouth wide. This was the one he met in the first grade? His life is much worse than sticking to the back of Quirrell's head.

The owner of the eyes in the locket was still whispering: "You have this potential, why don't we cooperate? Rule the wizard and the muggles together... And I, the greatest wizard ever, are willing to share with you my secret Horcrux of immortality."

A thing that looked like a soap bubble appeared twisted and raised a human figure from above the locket. It was a pretty handsome young man with thin cheeks, shiny hair and tall figure. He smiled affectionately, spreading his arms, as if he wanted to hug Felix.

But his feet were still in the locket and could not walk out at all. He smiled more kindly and said in a gentle tone: "Why not start from now on the road of eternal life from this moment... Just wave your wand gently, and there are two insignificant sacrifices over there."

But Felix said calmly: "I thought you would give a better insight, Tom. Close it, Harry."

"What?" The red light in the young Voldemort's eyes flashed. If he hadn't been staring at him, he might have thought it was an illusion. He raised his tone and tried calmly to convince him: "You don't know what you missed. I walked farther than anyone on the road to immortality, joining forces..."

But Harry had already made a "hissing". The next second, the lid of the locket closed, and the black mist full of hatred swelled and dispersed, and Voldemort's image disappeared suddenly.

Harry's heart was beating violently and panting, and he really thought Voldemort was going to jump out and fight them.

Felix picked up the locket, knocked and beat it for a long time, and finally put it in his pocket. "I will hand it over to Dumbledore," he said with emotion, "The principal has not touched one, I have seen three."

They sat back on the sofa, each without saying anything, Clicher snatched the door and said tremblingly: "Mr. Hepp, will you destroy it? This is the last order left by Master Regulus to Old Clicher."

"I promise you, Cliche, the locket will be ruined," Felix said.

"Thank you, thank you" Kliche sobbed and disappeared with a "bang".

Harry calmed down and asked curiously: "Voldemort mentioned the Horcrux just now, what is that?" His eyes jumped between Sirius and Felix, hoping to get an answer. His intuition told him that he had already seen Voldemort's secret very deeply.

Sirius also looked at Felix.

"The Horcrux... is a very evil black magic. It divides the soul and stores the soul fragments in some item. This thing is called the Horcrux." Felix briefly explained: "As long as the Horcrux is still there, Voldemort will not die. Although he will be miserable, there will be the day to return."

"Is this the secret of Voldemort's immortality?" Harry said in shock: "No wonder he said that he had transcended death and actually split his soul by splitting his soul. It was really an evil way."

"It's more than that, Harry, splitting the soul is the result, and the process requires completing a ritual, killing, and stripping the soul by killing people. Don't look at me telling you like this, it's actually far more complicated than this." Felix said.

"So the locket is just a piece of Voldemort?" Harry understood that the two Voldemorts he had seen were not the same soul.

"That's right."

"If we destroy the locket now, will Voldemort die silently in some dark corner?" Harry said with distracting thoughts, and he was particularly excited about the idea.

"The possibility is not great, Harry. He made more than one Horcrux, and there were two Horcruxes I saw and destroyed, and Dumbledore was still pursuing more information," said Felix.

Harry was stunned when he heard this, "You have been doing this? Fighting Voldemort?" He knew nothing about it.

"It was Dumbledore who had been doing this, he had been actively pursuing the past that Voldemort was trying to hide," Felix said. "And I just happened."

"Harry, even when you sleep, the world is still running, but you haven't seen it."

Harry nodded. He knew what the professor meant, and there was no need to take the responsibility on him. He was just a little impulsive, not stupid. The professor told him that the Horcrux had the function of the Horcrux, so he would not be unable to think about it. He tried to confront Voldemort before the Horcrux was completely destroyed.

He was excited and felt that there was another task in his life. If Voldemort's Horcrux still exists at graduation, he could spend his whole life pursuing it.

Thinking about that future, it is not bad, especially the road is not lonely, with Dumbledore, Professor Hepp... Maybe there are more people, and there are figures in Harry's mind.

He asked a key question: "If Horcruxes were not one, well... now there are at least three, or four, would it be more, like seventeen or eighteen?"

Felix was amused, "Why do you treat your soul as a cookie? You can break it apart at will or you can get rid of it?" He thought carefully and said, "Actually, I can't be sure. The book "Revealing the Secret of the Grades" does not explain the limit on the number of Horcruxes. Perhaps the person who wrote the book did not expect that future generations would be so crazy."

"Will it hurt to strip away the soul?" Harry asked.

"Well, a strange problem," Felix tilted his head: "But the book says it hurts. I haven't tried it myself. Maybe Voldemort doesn't care?"

"Okay," he stood up, "Let's get here today, Harry, it's time for us to go back." He looked at Sirius again, "The time we agreed on will remain unchanged."

The two returned to Hogwarts, and Felix sent Harry away, who was asking questions, and came to Dumbledore's office.

Dumbledore was still flipping through the documents. After hearing Felix's intentions, he carefully looked at the locket.

After watching for a long time, he took off his glasses tiredly and wiped them with a small piece of velvet: "It just happened to verify the guess I got from Hao Qi."

"Hao Qi?"

"I told you, that poor house elf."

"You came back so late today, just went..."

“Azkaban, that’s right.”

Dumbledore told the story he heard from Hao Qi. The story itself is very simple. Almost fifty years ago, Voldemort, who was a clerk in Bojinbok, visited a very wealthy witch, Hepzba Smith, the owner of Hao Qi. Two days later, she suddenly passed away.

"There are two things worth noting in this matter. One is that with the death of Hepzba, her two most precious collections did not fly away. They happened to be the relics of the four founders of Hogwarts, Slytherin's locket, and Hufflepuff's gold cup."

"Does Voldemort do it," Felix said with certainty.

"Yes, it took a long time for Hepzba's family to determine this because she has many secret hiding places and always takes her collection very seriously."

"You just said...Hao Qi is in Azkaban?"

"Yes, it's obvious that the scapegoat, but Hao Qi herself admitted that she had put something in the hostess's cocoa tea, and later found out that it was not sugar, but a rare and deadly poison. The verdict said that she was not intentional murder, but was blurred with old eyes."

"Her memories have been tampered with?"

"I'm glad we reached an agreement," Dumbledore said. "Hao Qi is not in good condition at the moment, and I'm planning to apply for a new investigation into this old case."

"However, after so many years, Hao Qi's memory has become a mess. It is difficult to tell whether she was passive at that time. I can only raise the doubts about the case itself..."

Felix also felt it was difficult. There was no evidence now, and everything was based on logical deductions. However, Fudge was scared just now, and I wonder if he had the courage to reject Dumbledore again.

The two turned to other issues

"Principal Dumbledore, how many Horcruxes do you think Voldemort made?"

"This is really a headache. Based on my understanding of him, Voldemort would find a meaningful number. Three, seven, nine, and thirteen are possible. I have to determine his thoughts and find some evidence. In addition, we don't know whether he had achieved his predetermined goal the night he went to the Porter's house..."

In other words, the number is uncertain, and it is not certain whether it has been completed or not. A number appeared in Felix's mind, seven, but he did not speak, and it was useless to say it. Dumbledore still had to explore and verify it himself.

But he thought of one thing, "Ravenclaw's crown, Slytherin's locket, Hufflepuff's gold cup... Dumbledore, will the Gryffindor's sword also be Horcrux?"

Dumbledore shook his head, "I happened to know where the sword is, and Voldemort didn't get it."

After coming out of the office, it was drizzling. Felix stepped on the wet soil and was still recalling the appearance of the Hufflepuff Golden Cup that Dumbledore had just transformed.

Dumbledore's words were a little harsh: "It's strange. I feel that you and Voldemort are really destined to be together. Maybe you will encounter other Horcruxes in the future. It's best to let you see what the Golden Cup looks like."
