Chapter 149 Course Selection

"Please come in," said Felix.

The two sat opposite the sofa, and plates of snacks and two glasses of pumpkin juice automatically floated onto the small table.

"Oh, thank you." Hermione said: "Professor Hepp, I haven't thanked you yet. The Easter eggs you sent are beautiful." The Easter chocolate eggs she received are basically limited to parents, roommates, Harry and Ron.

"It's nothing, just like you." Felix said politely, mail-ordering a batch from the candy store for people close to each other, such as professors in Hogwarts, students and close-knit pen pals.

In his opinion, this is a social etiquette.

Apart from attaching greeting cards, he didn't put any effort into it - don't expect the canteen's people to have the skills to make Easter eggs.

"Miss Granger, do you have any questions about the third grade course selection? And, should you consult Professor McGonagall in this regard?"

"I'll communicate with Professor McGonagall tomorrow," Hermione nodded and took a deep breath and said, "In fact, I've ticked all the courses... Although some people say there will be a conflict in time, as far as I know, Percy, Ron's brother, took all the courses in the third grade."

"Percy Weasley?" Felix blinked, "He did excel in ancient magical texts."

"I don't want to give up any course, I mean-" she said slowly, "Since someone can do it, why can't I?"

Felix knew it in his heart, "So, are you trying to learn about the secrets here from me?"

"Yes, professor, if you are convenient to disclose."

"Well, this is a semi-public secret among professors, but they try not to disclose it to other students, and they also have to cover it up in every way... Of course, some smart people can definitely find abnormalities."

"You are one of them, aren't you? Or are you a secret witness myself, like Percy?" Hermione slowed down and looked at Felix expectantly.

"I'm sorry, I found out later. When I was in school, I didn't choose Muggle research and arithmetic divination, which made me miss a valuable opportunity." He said with a melancholy expression.

"You didn't choose Muggle research?" She looked at Felix incredibly.

"Yeah, I thought the class was a pure waste of time at the time. No one could have thought that I would become an expert on the Muggle problem later."

Hermione thought to herself, I didn't expect that this was really outrageous, but the professor was originally from the Muggle world.

"So, this secret is—"

"Time converter, it can get you back a few hours ago."

"Back to the past?" Hermione looked at him in shock, "But, but Professor, how is this possible!"

"Otherwise, how could a student choose two conflicting classes?" Felix asked back.

Hermione couldn't speak.

She heard Professor Heip continue: "I have not studied this exquisite magical creation and do not know its structure. But from the public information, the Ministry of Magic has used time converters extremely strictly, and has formulated hundreds of laws for this purpose and imposed the most severe punishment for abuse."

"Why did the student-"

"It requires strict guarantees and scrutiny, Miss Granger. Where you can't see, the past Hogwarts president, now Dumbledore, uses himself as a guarantee, and Professor McGonagall must write letters to prove that the user is an absolute model student, to ensure that it will not be used in matters other than learning."

Hermione suddenly thought of a nickname from Percy - Model Percy.

"So, if you apply, Professor McGonagall should not refuse." Felix comforted her.

If his assistant got the time converter, maybe he would have the opportunity to do research? But Felix looked at this sudden idea carefully. From the pitiful data, he saw dangerous cases of abuse of time converter.

Using a time converter is not dangerous, it is self-righteous to play with time.

Hermione left with satisfaction.

Before leaving, Professor Happ warned her, "Don't disclose the existence of the time converter to anyone, this will make Professor McGonagall very embarrassed and a huge threat to users."

...

The other second-grade wizards were also worried about the course selection at this time, after all, this would actually affect their future. After this course selection, the subject scope of the OWLs exam and NEWTs exam was basically determined.

Every little wizard has his own method—

Students from wizard families will discuss this with their families in detail, but sometimes it will have reverse effects. For example, some of his relatives wrote to him and made various contradictory suggestions to him, which made him a little unattached and overwhelmed.

"Do you think arithmetic divination sounds more difficult to learn than ancient magical texts?" When Hermione returned, she saw Neville asking Harry about his opinion in the common room.

"Uh... maybe?" Harry said vaguely, with a class selection form and course materials on hand.

Ron patted Navig on the shoulder: "My man, of course I chose ancient magical text!"

Neville said cringibly: "My memory is not good, Professor Snape said--"

"Oh, don't listen to him, he has nothing good to say," Ron said in a low voice in a mysterious voice: "Tell you a secret that Professor Hayp is the strongest of all teachers. As long as you become his student, Snape will never dare to bully you again."

"But, but Professor Happ is Snape's student~"

Ron said speechlessly, "Maybe they are not in harmony." He saw Hermione walk in and immediately seek support from her: "Hermione, you should understand?"

"I haven't seen any evidence of the two professors' disagreement!"

Ron sat back on the chair in disappointment.

Harry looked up and asked Hermione: "Did you get any advice from Professor Hepp?"

"I didn't ask for advice on class selection, I just had some questions..." She thought of Felix's warning to her and vaguely covered the topic.

Percy is willing to advise students in the lower grades. He is surrounded by a group of people, and the voice reaches their ears: "This is related to your future planning. If you like outdoor activities, you can boldly choose the magical biology course; if you are keen on calculations and puzzles, you can choose arithmetic and divination; I personally highly recommend ancient magic literature, and Professor Happ has given this course a whole new meaning."

The little wizards agreed with each other, and the magic puppets everywhere in the school made them envious.

"…Some people will tell you that Muggle research is stupid, but I personally think that wizards should have a comprehensive understanding of non-magical society, especially if you don't make sure you are engaged in a close relationship with Muggle. To be more, Professor Hayp is also an expert in this field!"

"As for divination classes, I also recommend you to choose. The reason is very simple. If you have the talent for prophecy, this course will change your life; even if not, divination classes are the easiest subject to pass."

The little wizards left thoughtfully.

Harry also understood that he was thinking about a question at the moment, what would I do in the future?

If he talks about what he is best at, it is undoubtedly Quidditch, but he is not sure whether he will become a professional Quidditch player.

Finally, after discussing with Ron, he chose several new courses in the same way - the magical biology course, the divination course and the ancient magical text.

He felt that if these courses were difficult to learn, at least one person would be willing to help him friendly.

Dean, who also grew up next to Muggles, said to the two: "Except for ancient magic script, I chose it with my eyes closed."

Other students also tend to put ancient magical literature first because of Felix's various influences.
