Chapter 47 Strikes
An hour later, William reluctantly sent Evan and his group away.
Their next stop is Universal Studios.
In the car, Audrey looked at her with the business card William gave her.
Evan took a fancy to him and asked, "Why, have you changed your mind?"
"No!" Audrey shook her head and looked at Evan and said, "I still have the same idea. I am still a student now. What I like is dancing. What I should think about is how to improve my skills, rather than suddenly changing careers to act."
Audrey said this just now when she rejected William. She repeated it again, as if she felt that Evan didn't believe her.
Evan smiled slightly, held Audrey's tiny hand and said, "It's up to you, as long as you think it's good. Anyway, I like it, whether it's dancing, acting, or even oil painting, I like it and support it."
Audrey was very helpful when she was talking about the sincere feelings of Evan. When she was moved, her eyes were still moving and Evan looked at each other affectionately.
The two of them got closer and closer, and finally they could feel each other's breathing flow. Just as the two were about to stick together, the car suddenly braked and interrupted the beauty.
The driver Carl whispered: "Sorry, Evan, someone crosses the road. Are you okay?"
Evan sat down again, glanced at Audrey with red cheeks, and said seriously: "It's okay!"
But I wanted to catch Carl and beat him up.
At the same time, he secretly raised the priority of something: "You have to get out the seat belt quickly, otherwise it will be too unsafe."
Universal Studios is in the north of Los Angeles, and walks a section of the middle on Highway 101 and you can see the Hollywood logo from afar.
At this time, Universal Studios was only one of the three small studios, not the sixth in the future, but the area of the cinema was not small. However, due to the times, the houses were all made of wooden, and Evan really couldn't appreciate them. After taking a few photos, Evan didn't want to move anymore and fell alone at the end.
Carl was with Evan with her camera in her arms, and the two of them walked while discussing the arrangements behind the company.
As he was talking, he hurried into Universal Studios.
"Evan! Carl!"
"Girard?" Carl turned around and shouted, "You are here too."
Gillard panted and looked gloomy. Evan frowned and asked, "What's wrong? NBC didn't talk about it?"
Before Gillard's breath could calm down, he shook his head and said, "No..."
Evan asked: "What's that?"
Before Gillard spoke, Carl suggested, “Let’s find a place to sit down and talk.”
"OK!"
Not far away is a cold drink shop, with tables and chairs for tourists to rest outside.
After the three of them sat down, Carl asked for three cups of Coca-Cola with ice. Gillard couldn't wait to say, "Evan, something happened to the Sacramento factory."
"Factory?" Carl was shocked and asked quickly: "What's wrong? Tell me clearly!"
The loan has just been released, so there is no problem in the factory. If something goes wrong, at least $200,000 will be wasted.
In contrast, Evan was much calmer. He took a sip of Coke before saying, "It's okay, let's talk slowly, as long as it's not a dead person, it's a trivial matter!"
Seeing Evan so calmly, Gillard admired him and calmed down and said, "Of course no one died..."
"Evan, that's right. Davidson called and said, "There's a riot in the factory, someone organized a union and demanded a raise of wages. If they didn't agree, they would go on strike."
"Davidson didn't agree...so, the factory is shut down now."
"Union?" Carl frowned when he heard this word, and smashed it, smashed it, and said, "Now this worker is really..."
Evan also had the same expression. However, after a moment, he put away his expression and looked at Gillard with interest: "It is their rightful right for workers to organize trade unions. Why do you have this expression?"
Gillard had a little embarrassed expression. He used to sympathize with workers and resigned only after being dissatisfied with General Motors. Now he has arrived at his new owner, but found that the workers are not so legitimate in organizing unions.
"Evan..." Gillard smiled embarrassedly and asked, "What should we do now?"
Evan thought for a while and asked, "Did Davidson say how many workers are on strike? How much is the salary increase?"
Gillard replied: "Most of the more than 800 front-line workers participated, and they asked for a 15% increase in salary."
"15%?" Carl said in shock: "So many, the factory has only been started for a few days, so it's so whimsical..."
Gillard wanted to say something, but he swallowed it back when he said something.
Evan reached out and stopped Carl, not allowing him to continue talking. After thinking about it, he ordered Gillard: "I will deal with this matter. Gillard, don't worry about it, and focus on dealing with the rest of NBC and CBS."
"You go back and call Davidson, ask him to give the workers a holiday, and explain the negotiations with the union organizer. Be careful to let him take the factory optimistic and don't have any trouble!"
Then he turned to Carl and said, "We'll go back to Sacramento today!"
After the arrangement was made, Evan asked Gillard to leave first. He found Nina and the others and told them about the factory.
"That's how it's happening, so, Nina, Audrey, I have to go back first, you guys keep playing and have a little fun."
"Or I'll go back too!" said Audrey.
"Don't!" Evan advised: "Audrey, please help me with Nina and Dora Dorothy, they all like you very much."
"That's all!"
Nina also said, "Yes, Audrey, you can play with us for a few days before going back."
"Evan, if you have something to do, you're busy with your business." Before Evan left, Nina reminded him in his ear: "If you can't handle it, you can ask Earl."
Evan nodded and said he knew.
That night, Evan and Carl rushed back to Sacramento. The two of them would come back with Davidson at the office of Magic7, Eighth Street, to discuss how to negotiate with the union tomorrow.
Davidson handed all the information he collected to Evan. After reading it, he laughed and said, "Yes, I'm here to find the stepping stone."
"Davidson, what do you think you should do?"
Davidson sneered: "Of course he kicked him to the Ameriga River and had water."
Evan nodded, his eyes showing sharpness.
Afterwards, the three of them discussed tomorrow's arrangements.
After all the details were finalized, Evan returned to the official residence. As soon as he entered the door, Evan heard Dorana's silver bell-like laughter. He shook his head, thinking that he had auditory hallucinations.
They should still be in Los Angeles!
Walking into the living room, a figure suddenly rushed out and threw himself on him.
"Evan, are you surprised or surprised?"
Evan opened his mouth and touched Dorothy that was hanging on him. He saw Earl, Nina, Virginia, Dorothy, and Robert sitting in the living room.
"Nina, why are they all back?"
Nina said: "One person is missing, it's boring, so I'm back. Don't worry, Audrey, we've sent home."
"Come on, tell Earl what you encountered and let him give you a counselor!"
"Okay!" Evan nodded, looking at Earl, who was sitting on the sofa with his tall horse, and said, "This is the thing..."
