Chapter 134 Performance

On Saturday, May 10, it suddenly started to rain heavily in Los Angeles.

Just as dawn was dawn, Audrey got up.

Today, Abbott's musical "High Heel Button Shoes" is about to be auditioned, and Audrey must go to the theater early.

The musical performances are at the Maya Theatre in the Broadway Theatre District in downtown Los Angeles, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Half an hour after Audrey got up, breakfast was ready, and Evan slowly walked out of Audrey's bedroom.

The upper body is naked and the lower body is wearing boxers.

Audrey saw Evan going to wash while cleaning in the restaurant, her face turned slightly red, and then rolled her eyes.

The two slept in the same bed last night.

"Evan, hurry up, it's going to be half past six."

Audrey urged.

“OK…”

Evan quickly sorted out his personal hygiene, then returned to his room and changed into his regular clothes for going out, which was done in less than five minutes.

"Audrey, are you nervous when you wake up so early?"

Evan sat at the dining table, making a frying egg with a fork, and deliberately teased.

Audrey glared at Evan, then frowned slightly, and said worriedly: "This is the first time I've been performing on such a big scene. What if I messed up?"

"After all, I was chosen by Mr. Abbott himself."

Evan took a bite of the fried egg that looked golden, chewed it for a few times and swallowed it, and said with a smile: "It is a good thing to be nervous, but don't go too far."

"You have to be confident, as you said, but Mr. Abbott, who chose you to join the crew, you have to believe in his vision, right?"

"If you still feel uneasy, you just think so in your heart. There is me watching the audience. If you make an embarrassment, be careful to be laughed at by me for the rest of your life, and then be laughed at by the children for the rest of your life."

Audrey's face turned red again when she heard this, and then she said angrily: "I won't be laughed at by you for the rest of my life?"

Is this the one who refuted? Is this the one who made the decision to have children?

Evan showed a longing smile on his face.

After breakfast and not caring about washing the dishes, Audrey urged Evan to go out quickly.

Today Evan personally sent Audrey to the theater, and Bob and Isla were both on vacation by Evan.

Unfortunately, when they encounter such ghost weather, they probably have no place to go.

The rain outside was a little less than when I woke up in the morning. Evan held an umbrella and sent Audrey into the car. Audrey didn't get any rain.

After getting into the driver's seat, Evan ignited the engine and turned on the switch of the wiper. Audrey took the towel and helped him wipe the rain from his arm.

The car started slowly, Evan stared at the road ahead and said, "Audrey, it's so heavy rain, many viewers will probably give up."

Audrey shook her head and said, "The impact is probably not big. The tickets for the audition today are all given out, and there are not many seats, only about 500. The audiences are either the family members of an actor like you, the media and commentators, or the industry peers. Most of these people won't stop coming just because there is too much rain."

“That’s right…”

Because of heavy rain and unclear vision, Evan controlled the car very slowly, so when he arrived at the Maya Theater in the city center, he was already past seven o'clock.

"Sorry, Mr. Abbott, I'm late!"

On the way to the backstage of the crew, Audrey ran into Abbott, and she apologized while rubbing the rain from her hair.

Abbot waved his hand and said, "It's okay, I know it's because of the heavy rain. Hurry up and get in and prepare. Take it easy, come on!"

"Okay!" Audrey nodded, then said to Evan who was following him: "I'm in, you are..."

Evan said: "I'll go around the neighborhood first, and then I'll go into the theater when the time comes."

"Okay, see you later!" Audrey waved at him at last.

Evan also waved his hand to respond, and said, "Come on, don't be nervous!"

After Audrey disappeared from the entrance to the backstage, Evan then withdrew his gaze and turned around to leave. Abbott called him: "Sir, please stay!"

Abbot walked to Evan, looked at him and stretched out his right hand. Seeing this, Evan quickly reached out and grabbed it.

"My name is Abbott, you must know me, right, Audrey's Prince, Mr. Evan Warren!"

Evan nodded and said, "I'm glad to know you, Mr. Aubot, and Audrey often mentions you to me."

"Speaking of this, Audrey was able to enter Art High School and attend this show thanks to your recommendation."

"I should say thank you!"

Abbot waved his hand and said, "No need to thank you, it's just a simple task!"

Evan said: "You are so loving."

Abbott smiled and said, "By the way, Evan, do you like watching dramas or musicals?"

Evan said: "I don't see much..."

Evan said this in a euphemism. In fact, except for accompanying Audrey to watch it several times, he never went to see it himself.

Abbott understood it, so he didn't go deeper on the topic, and instead asked, "Audrey is a good seedling. If she wants to continue to develop in the performance industry, I think today will be her starting day, but will you support it?"

"Of course!" Evan nodded without hesitation.

Abbott was a little surprised. He hesitated for a while, half-questioned and half-reminded, "Evan, do you know about Hollywood and Broadway... well, the atmosphere?"

Evan nodded again and said, "I heard something."

“So, if Audrey intends to enter the industry formally, I will be ready.”

Abbott looked at the little boyfriend whom Audrey mentioned to him but did not say in detail, and he couldn't figure out whether Evan was talking big or the truth.

However, when I thought of the two bodyguards around Audrey, Abbott felt that Evan was most likely not telling lies, so he asked tentatively: "Evan, you are..."

Evan said the truth: "Working at the California State Capitol."

Abbot stood there in a daze.

The last name is Warren, and he works in that place... Who is it?

...

Two hours later, there were crowds of people in the theater, which could accommodate hundreds of people.

Evan found his place early and was waiting for the opening.

He is in a very good position, a little to the right in the middle of the fourth row.

It was only a few minutes before the show was about to leave, but the position on Evan's right hand was still empty.

That's the place left for Virginia.

Evan looked at the entrance to the right from time to time, thinking that she wouldn't come because of the rain.

If I had known, I would have gone back to pick her up.

Just as Evan reflected on himself, Virginia, wearing a blue dress, finally arrived.

"Sorry, I forgot the time when reviewing the manuscript, and I almost got late!"

Virginia said to Evan as she sat down.
