Chapter 127 The Dwarf and the Hobbit
Motie and Gandalf set off together, and Elon sent them out of the forest.
Several female elves followed, filled Mo Tie with several pots of elves arrows, and folded the Mara talisman with leaves to put it in his clothes.
The Mara talisman is an ornament worn by men who travel far away, and Mo Tie was a little amused and crying.
After walking west for a long time, the two of them came to Brie, a famous small village.
It was raining, and on such a night, there were almost no people on the street.
Gandalf took Mo Tie to the "Yuema Tavern" with ease.
"I've been here many times. There is a honey berries skewers that are delicious, you must not miss them." Gandalf took off his hat, shook the rainwater on it, and said.
"It seems that fate's guidance is very accurate there." Suddenly, Gandalf smiled at a room in the middle of the lobby.
Mo Tie also took off his fur hat and looked in that direction, a dwarf.
Gandalf walked over and said, "I hope you don't mind us sitting down."
The dwarf looked at Gandalf and Mo Tie vigilantly. When he saw that Mo Tie was an elf, he obviously frowned. However, out of respect for the gray-robed wizard, he nodded in agreement.
Mo Tie didn't care about Solin's attitude. He knew that this guy had calculated part of the fault of the country and his family's destruction on the elves, and he also spread all the elves, whoever they caught and bite.
After sitting down, Mo Tie stopped the passing maid, ordered two deer steaks and honey wine sets, and ordered a few honey berries skewers.
Gandalf had already started talking to the dwarf.
Gandalf told Thorin straightforwardly that he hoped that the descendants of the King at the foot of the mountain could regain Gushan, and that the glory of Dulin's series had disappeared for too long.
"Didn't you happen to meet me?" Although Thorin was very moved, he was still alert and did not want to be used as a gun. If his operation failed this time - which seemed more likely - Dulin's dwarves would never have a chance to regain Lone Mountain.
Gandalf took the plate sent by the maid and said thank you. Then he took out an old piece of parchment from his arms and spread it on the table.
"Smaug has occupied Gushan for too long, and I am worried that it will attract more evil." Gandalf did not hide his plans. His purpose did not conflict with Thorin. "It was not until I recalled this map that I realized that the road had long appeared under my feet."
Mo Tie got the honey berries skewers and tasted them. Isn’t this the candied haws?
How Gandalf used the map to convince Sorin? How did he explain that the source of the map and the key had nothing to do with Mo Tie, he was recalling the smell of his hometown.
After he finished eating and drinking, the conversation between the other two was coming to an end.
"I still have a question, why does this elf follow us?" Thorin had no objection to Gandalf's plan. He just couldn't accept that an elf was walking with him.
Gandalf was a little irritated: "Thorin, don't let hostility cover your eyes. Even if you hate Thrandir, why should you vent your anger on Iron? Just like when you are in trouble, there are dwarves on the mainland who enjoy wealth. Will you hold a grudge against them for this?"
Thorin lowered his head and pondered.
Gandalf explained: "Ain has been wandering in Middle-earth since he was a child and has never seen any other elves. If you refuse his joining, don't you think it's very unfair to him?"
Thorin raised his head, his eyes a little dissatisfied: "I want to know why he must be? The dwarf can regain his home with his own strength."
"Because he once destroyed tens of thousands of orcs alone, Thorin, you have been targeted by others, you need the power of Iron." Gandalf said earnestly.
Thorin was shocked and asked, "Lord of Dark Blood?"
"Yes." Gandalf replied with a smile, knowing that Mo Tie doesn't like the title.
"So that's it, I was wrong. I apologize to you, respectful strong man." Thorin's attitude changed suddenly.
When he heard Mo Tie's title, he certainly understood how much risk this line would reduce. Only the wrong name and no wrong nickname, "Dark Blood Lord" is much better than "Oak Shield".
Mo Tie shook his head indifferently, saying that it was okay.
"We also need a thief. Please meet at the Charles at the agreed time. I will leave a mark for you."
Gandalf packed up his own things and left with Mo Tie.
On the way, Mo Tie asked: "Are our snitches in Charles? I heard that there are all hobbits there, and their strength is not very good."
Gandalf pulled his wizard hat and explained, "Yes, they enjoy peace and are content with the status quo. But they are really born snitches. If there is a race that can dance in front of the sleeping Smaug, it must be the Hobbit."
I can do it too. I was walking around Smaug's treasure, Mo Tie thought to himself.
...
Cape Charles.
Bilbo Baggins sat on a bench, smoking his pipe leisurely, and this Shire's best tobacco made him intoxicated.
Suddenly, two tall figures blocked his sunshine.
One is an old man with a white beard wearing a gray robe, and the other is a handsome young man with a long backpack on his back.
He could see at a glance that people of this height would never be Hobbits, so where did they come from?
Oh no, the hobbit who loves tranquility will never think about this kind of problem. Bilbo is not interested in people coming from the outside world, nor does he want to inquire about their adventure stories, and even thinks that the word "adventure" is too bold.
So, how can we look a little polite?
"Good morning." Bilbo said hesitantly.
Gandalf smiled and said teasingly, "What do you mean? I really want to say hello to us? Or do you want to say, whether I like it or not, this morning is pretty good? Or do you feel good on this special morning?"
Mo Tie rolled his eyes speechlessly, and the old man's evil taste appeared.
Bilbo rolled his eyes a little while, Gandalf didn't let him go, and continued, "Or are you just saying, this is a worthy morning?"
Bilbo gave up thinking and replied wisely: "Maybe there are all."
Gandalf began to look at Bilbo, as if he was looking for the former partner in this hobbit.
"Do you want me to help?" Bilbo was sitting on pins and needles, still maintaining basic politeness.
"Look, let's talk about it." Gandalf might be in the memory, and then continued for a while, "I'm looking for someone to take risks with me."
Bilbo was frightened, even his pipe was pulled out of his mouth, and said nervously, "Adventure? No, I don't think anyone in the west of Brie is interested in the word."
