Chapter 3982 Choice

The courtesan heard from Duran that people should learn to integrate rather than confrontation. Although it makes sense, she has a question: How can people maintain themselves?

Duran believes that people don’t have to be too self-centered, the more self-centered they are, the less useful they are. They should ‘learning more and more for the Tao’, which means they have connotations but should be expressed in a simple way and return to nature.

The courtesan thought it was too difficult, but she couldn't do it anyway. After receiving education and integrating other people's thoughts, she would not be herself.

Du Lan thought that the "Letter of Admonition to Exile" pointed out this problem, and resisting others will not be able to learn from other people's strengths. And when integrating, the way to maintain oneself is to "sweet ambition".

If you have a goal and move towards this goal, you can maintain yourself well. If you are beneficial to the goal, learn, and if you are not conducive to the goal, don’t learn.

Qin State has the ambition to be a good person, so it can attract many people and lead everyone to work hard together. This is not to be integrated by oneself, but to assimilate others by oneself.

Mount Tai does not allow the soil, so it can become big. The rivers and seas do not choose the fine streams, so it can reach the depth. The king does not despise the common people, so it can understand its virtues.

Mount Tai absorbs soil to achieve one's own height. The rivers and seas do not choose to flow for one's own depth. The king does not exclude talents, but to achieve one's own virtue.

If you have a greater desire, you need to integrate rather than confrontation.

Because confrontation is just to save oneself and cannot further complete the goal. To achieve the goal, one must absorb more power and need to find more helpers, even if he looks directly at the ancient god and absorbs madness, he is not afraid of it.

Confrontation, clarify yourself and integrate to achieve your goals. Self-protection and ideals are confrontational. In order to achieve your goals, you must sacrifice yourself. If you develop the contradiction between survival and development, you may eventually sacrifice and you will not be able to enjoy the fruits of development. Conversely, if you do not develop, you may be killed by others.

So it's very contradictory.

Any civilization must answer this question. Development is so dangerous and survival is like an abyss. So what should people do? Why should they survive, why should they develop? Why should they confront and why should they integrate?

Civilization must give everyone an answer to it in order to curb human random thoughts.

What makes humans different from animals is that the brains of animals are very simple, and they just need to consider survival. And the brains of humans need to consider more, which will lead to internal contradictions in production and development. Civilization needs to answer this question, why?

In the beginning of the era of military aristocrats, the answer was the glory of aristocrats, the spirit of martial arts, and self-restraint and regaining rituals. They all depended on the consciousness of aristocrats. They were descendants of God, and were born to protect their families and expand their territory. But that is, there were nobility who would evade responsibilities, and their territory was getting bigger and bigger, beyond the management scope of the aristocrats.

Then there was religion. At the beginning, religion was still not separated from the theory of bloodline. Or the Son of God's Chosen was born to take into account both survival and development. Then the Monotheistic religion appeared. Many believers did not have bloodline. It was said that aristocrats and ordinary people had original sin when they were born. Only survival and development could atone for sins and go to heaven after death. Life was so painful because of original sin, but we could not give up survival, because suicide could not go to heaven. If we don't go to heaven, there would be even more terrible hell waiting for you.

Buddhism believes that life is suffering and these pains are false, so you have to practice until you see through the false, so you don’t feel suffering and become a Buddha. Buddhism gives people the opportunity to practice. Everyone has the qualifications to practice, and gives everyone the opportunity to surpass pain, and the threshold for cultivation is getting lower and lower.

At first, you need precepts, concentration, wisdom, precepts, meditation, and reading scriptures. You can’t play without money, but later, when you have Zen, you eat and drink, and then you will suddenly become a Buddha. Everyone has Buddha nature, and you don’t need precepts, concentration, and wisdom. You can complete your practice as long as you have sudden enlightenment. The reason why you are still suffering now is because you have not yet realized it.

Taoism also practices, and the land of wealth, law and companionship are not something that poor people can play with. Taoism’s understanding of suffering is because you have not adapted to nature. If you follow nature, you will not feel suffering, and you can even become an immortal...

Confucianism also gives an answer: to cultivate oneself, manage the family, govern the country and pacify the world. Even if you are poor, you must be firm in your will, because you must pacify the world. You should become stronger and better, but you would rather change your heart to be old? Be poor and become stronger and stronger than lose your ambition! A gentleman strives for self-improvement. In fact, it is also a cultivation, and it is also a goal of governing the country and pacifying the world.

Therefore, the convergence of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism is a major trend, because the core is cultivation, but the direction of cultivation is different. Buddhism is color, that is, emptiness, Taoism is adapting to nature, and Confucianism is poor and stronger.

Whether it is the Uni-Divine Cult, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, they all stimulate their strength from the inside to face external suffering. They all tell everyone that life is indeed very hard, but persistence means victory. Whether it is going to heaven, becoming a Buddha, becoming an immortal, or becoming a farmer in the morning, or ascending to the emperor's hall in the evening, they are all for perseverance and completing their lives.

The contradiction between survival and development makes people painful. This is something that everyone has to face, but it depends on how to face it. Whether to avoid it passively, or to respond actively, whether to choose to survive to fight, or to choose to develop and integrate, is all your choice.

If you choose to survive and fight, that is, I am right, it is the world’s fault. If you choose to develop and integrate, you either lower yourself from the gang, or continue to improve yourself to challenge a higher level.

So I went back to the situation where Confucius was trapped between Chen and Cai. What should I do when facing the gap between ideals and reality? Should I continue to work hard, lower my requirements, or is it all the fault of the world?

Confucius chose the world's fault. In fact, this is in line with Buddhist thought. The world is false and can be avoided.

Reducing requirements and being with light is the Taoist proposition. Let it go naturally. Don’t think of changing the environment, but adapting to the environment yourself.

Continuing to work hard is the later Confucianism's idea, which is to keep working hard, even if there are thousands of people, I will go.

Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism also cooperate perfectly. But no matter what choice it is, it is always your own choice. If you choose to be the world's fault, you must figure out why the world is wrong and how you can prove that the world is wrong. If you choose to let it go, you must persist and be consistent. If you choose to work hard, you will have to hang your head and thorn your thighs, smell the chickens, chisel the wall and steal the light, and the fireflies reflect the snow...

All are not easy.

Of course, the Monotheistic Church is simple. If you encounter conflicts, everything will be based on God’s statement and do it according to God’s requirements. You must be wrong, and God is definitely right. You don’t need to make your own choices, God will make your choices for you.

In short, confrontation is for survival, and integration is for development.

The same is true when facing Cthulhu. It can be said that every small country facing Cthulhu is the case. To maintain its cultural independence, it is necessary to fight against the big country. However, to develop and make money, it is necessary to integrate into the game of the big country. Therefore, they often peek at Cthulhu in the cracks of the door and dare not look directly at it.

Once you look directly at Cthulhu, you become an out of control monster and you will become unaware of yourself. However, if you just resist and are limited to human bodies, how can you break through your upper limit?

Think about Dior, in order to break through his human identity, he chose to 'no longer be a human being'. In the end, Dior became very powerful.

If you just resist and think that the family members of Cthulhu are monsters, you will never be able to learn the advantages of the family members in your life and will not be able to further develop.

The American Empire at the end of the 19th century was a small country, and the sun did not set was Cthulhu. The authors at that time described Cthulhu and his relatives as indescribable monsters, which was obviously resistant. There must be many people who were pro-Sun and never set within the United States. Although the American Empire was independent of the sun, they knew very well that it would be impossible without the help of France. Moreover, they traded closely with the sun and never set and needed to make money.

The core of Cthulhu is resistance. What can we do except "not be a human being" when facing these monsters on the Pilgrim Island?

Tongma didn't know what the limit of Qi was. He only knew that if he obtained the power of the ancient god, he would definitely be able to save his brother.
