Chapter 10 Landing in Ryukyu (1)

Chapter 10: Landing in Ryukyu (I)

Zhoushan Islands were called "Haizhongzhou". According to historical archaeology, as early as the Neolithic Age 6,000 years ago, people lived in the 99 mounds of the primitive village of Ma'ao Town in the northwest of Zhoushan Island. Zhoushan Islands belonged to Yue State during the Spring and Autumn Period, and were called "Yongdong". During the Warring States Period, Chu destroyed Yue State, and belonged to Chu State. After Qin Shihuang unified the six kingdoms, he implemented the county system, and Yongdong was the eastern part of the county and county of Kuaiji County.

Since the Song Dynasty, the country's power has gradually become stronger.

In the second year of Hongwu in Mingming, Emperor Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang ordered General Tang He, the South General, to deal with the defense of the Southeast. Two commanders of Tang He's subordinates interfered in civil disputes among local residents on Xiushan Island and were beaten to death. Tang He took his anger to the people of Zhoushan and asked the court to say: "The residents of Changguo formed Japanese pirates outside and many thieves inside." They were "uneducated stubborn people" and "a major threat to border defense". They insisted on abolishing the county seat and expelling the islanders. Zhu Yuanzhang listened to Tang He's report.

The edict was issued to abolish Changguo County, and all the islanders were moved to the mainland. After the edict was issued, Wang Guozuo, a native of Ziweiao, Changguo Prefecture, thought it was a big mistake and rushed to Nanjing to reason with Zhu Yuanzhang, and emphasized that the people of Zhoushan could not move inward. For this reason, Zhu Yuanzhang made adjustments and agreed to leave some residents, namely 547 households within four miles of the city, 8,085 people could stay, and the remaining 46 island residents rushed to the mainland. This was the first famous sea ban in Zhoushan's history.

After Changguo County was abolished, historical books began to call Changguo Zhoushan. The "Zhoushan" one came from the people, and was named after the island "the mountain is like a boat", or the name was called "fishing boats gather here".

Although the migration order was promulgated and the county seat was gone, in fact, many residents returned to the island one after another, gradually breaking the restrictions. Coastal fishermen inevitably went to Zhoushan to berth, either to shelter the wind or to replenish freshwater food. By the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, there were 6,005 residents in the Zhoushan Archipelago.

The Zhoushan Islands do not have hot summers, cold winters, and pleasant climate. They have subtropical monsoon climates. The large and small islands in the area are scattered with 1,390 islands, like shining pearls scattered on the surface of the eastern ocean, forming a magnificent view of the "City of Thousand Islands". The unique scenery of the island gives this place endless charm. The blue sky, blue sea, green islands, golden sands, and white waves have become the main colors of Zhoushan environment.

The country has unique mountain and sea landscapes and many historical sites. There are many Buddhist cultural landscapes, mountain and sea cultural landscapes, historical and military cultural landscapes and island fishing customs landscapes, Putuo Mountain, "Sea and Sky Buddha Country", "Jingsha Islands" and Daishan Island, "East Sea Penglai" and so on.

The Zhoushan Islands are located in the Yangtze River Delta and are at the forefront of the intersection of the Yangtze River waterway and my country's North-South Ocean Channel. They have unique deep-water coastline resources and rich marine fishery resources.

After the abolition of the maritime ban policy, the imperial court established Changguo County again. At the same time, the First Detachment of the East China Sea Fleet also entered Zhoushan and built a new large deep-water military port in the north of Zhoushan. At this point, Zhoushan Island became the main base of the First Detachment of the East China Sea Fleet.

Due to the years of maritime ban, there were less than 10,000 residents on the huge island. After the imperial court set Zhoushan Island as the base of the East China Sea Fleet, it cut off one-third of the area for base construction. After two years of construction, this navy's largest base has begun to show its scale. The base integrating repair, training and entertainment has become a home that the Navy's East China Sea Fleet yearns for.

Three months ago, Hong Chengchou and Song Xiance took a new appointment to Zhoushan Island, and also brought the military order issued by the Military Machine Pavilion to form a Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps is a brand new and unfamiliar military force. Although its functions can be memorized by Hong Chengchou and Song Xiance, how to form, deploy troops, and train them are all new challenges. Although they don’t need to do everything themselves, they all know that this Marine Corps is going to the battlefield, and it was not something the court had to do for a moment.

In three months, the Military Machine Pavilion only gave Hong Chengchou and Song Xiance three months. With their keen military sense, this newly formed military branch may have to go to the battlefield.

Fortunately, this Marine Corps cannot be equivalent to the one in later generations. It was drawn from the veterans. It has rich military qualities and combat experience, so it is still certain to form combat effectiveness in three months. Otherwise, Zhu Yinglong would not have allowed the military officer to issue an impossible order to Hong Chengchou and others. Besides, he doesn't know how to train this Marine Corps, so he should let them learn about war from war.

"Old Hong, three months are coming soon. What do you think the emperor and the Military Machinery Pavilion will let our Marine Corps do next?" Song Xiance asked speculatively. Judging from the functions of the Marine Corps, this is clearly an offensive force. It is impossible for the court to form such a force at this time to make trouble, especially now that the cabinet is very dissatisfied with the military spending of the Military Machinery Pavilion every year. Although the Military Machinery Pavilion and the Cabinet have different systems, they are also restricted by each other.

Hong Chengchou put down his telescope. This was a landing exercise. After two months of integration training, he and Song Xiance planned a series of landing acts. They passed the different islands, different terrain and different climatic conditions. They found that the landing operation was also very knowledgeable. Many problems were exposed in the exercise. Some problems seemed very small, and they might be able to pass if conditions permit. However, the war was different. A small loophole might lose the entire battle. Moreover, the emperor's intention was very dissatisfied with the island country in the east, but there was no trace of force against him. This was always a piece of his heart. Could this Marine Corps learn from the Japanese pirates back then, burning, killing, looting along the other side's coast, and retaliating with tooth?

"Do whatever you can do, just do whatever you should do." Hong Chengchou replied casually.

"The court will sooner or later attack overseas, Lao Hong, don't you see the ambition of our emperor?" Song Xiance asked in confusion.

Hong Chengchou smiled bitterly and said, "The sea is thousands of times more dangerous than land, and the climate is complex. Not only do you have to fight with people, but also with the sky and the earth. The emperor is ambitious and vows to turn this dangerous and unpredictable seaside into a gentle little lake in his home. It is a pain for us ministers!"

"What's the matter? Those red-haired elephants can do it. Why can't we, the descendants of China?" Song Xianci retorted.

"Yes, they all did it, why can't we do it?" Hong Chengchou said to himself.

"Although the emperor is young and energetic, he is definitely not an impulsive and willful king. You and I have met a wise master. We should make achievements for him and serve you with kindness. In the least, we can gain wealth and glory and win a wife and son." Song Xiance said.

"You are right, I'm too worried." Hong Chengchou's worries were swept away.

"You who read the books of sages like to think randomly." Song Xiance unceremoniously criticized Hong Chengchou.

"What a random thought, I am worried about the world first!" Hong Chengchou's face, which was blown into bronze by the sea breeze, was somewhat red.

"You are fat, but you are still breathing. Modesty is the virtue of you scholars!" Song Xiance took back without hesitation.

"Old Song, you shameless guy, you dare to say that to me. Do you know what the crime is to insult your superiors in public?" Except for the beginning, Song Xiance was sent to Hong Chengchou's hands. Because they were unfamiliar, both sides maintained a certain degree of restraint and spent the "honeymoon period" of the southern expedition. When the two formally partnered, both of them were both amazing people. Hong Chengchou was the boss in Ming Dynasty, and Gao Song Xiance was half-level. Outsiders seemed that Hong Chengchou was demeanor, elegant and humble. Although Song Xiance was ugly, he looked ugly.

Some, but there are many witty words in your heart, and you don’t look at your face, but you also look at your official face. Therefore, you can be called the "best partner". The two of them are secretly competing in secret. For example, they will not let go of the gestures when they land in such a landing. If Hong Chengchou commands the landing, Song Xiance will definitely rush to go and defend and counter-log the landing. Otherwise, the two of them will let go when they close the door. Except for not fighting, they can spit out any words from the two of them, sarcasm, sarcasm, and sarcasm.

"Have I insulted you? Who proved it?" Song Xiance saw that there was no outsider on the deck, and looked like "No one can tell me, what can you do to me?", and grinned at Hong Chengchou.

"You, Song Wushao, I'm so angry." Hong Chengchou pointed at Song Xiance and scolded, "If you can't beat me, just use such a despicable trick."

"Who can't beat you anymore? Don't think about it. I guard this island. The terrain is flat and the surroundings are bare. There are less than ten shore defense artillery guns, and there is no depth. How can I fight?" Song Xiance was cowardly when he thought about it. It was obvious that he deliberately found this island to ravage him in order to revenge the revenge he lost last time.

"If you can't win, you can't win. What's the point of quibbling!" Hong Chengchou said with a cheeky face.

"Gaga..." Song Xiance said with a strange smile, "Pig slaughter, don't be proud, wait for next time, hehe..."

"Stinky Taoist priest, who is the pig slaughter?" Hong Chengchou was immediately crazy when he heard this. It was because of his nickname as the "butcher", that Song Xiance gave him the title of "pig slaughter". Every time he heard Song Xiance call him "pig slaughter", he would be angry. After all, he was a Jinshi, so how could he be related to such a inferior person?

"Whoever agrees will be!" Song Xiance quickly applied oil to the soles of his feet and ran away.

"You short Song are so fast!" Hong Chengchou let go of his clenched fists hatefully and grinned at Song Xiance who was running into the cabin.

"Commander-in-Chief, the Emperor's secret decree."

The secret edict was not read out. This is a rule, but the secret edict cannot be opened casually. Hong Chengchou quickly returned to his cabin and ordered people to strictly guard the cabin. Then he pried open the bamboo tube tin seal that was filled with a dagger. He found that there was not only a secret edict, but also an imperial edict inside. Hong Chengchou opened the secret edict first, and after seeing it, he was already shocked. When the imperial edict was unfolded, the shock had faded away.

"Come on, please invite the Chief of Staff to the small conference room." Hong Chengchou put the imperial edict and edict back into the bamboo tube, then hid it in his sleeve, left his bedroom cabin and went to the small conference room.
