212 Canuck(2/4)

Jessica's hair was shaking automatically, and her anger was almost full.

"No one can guarantee it, not me, not even Steve."

Nick Fury raised his eyes and glanced at Jessica, then lowered his head and continued eating barbecue.

"Just like no one can guarantee that Bulcaisel will not go on a killing spree, power has always been like this. So SHIELD can only collect more power and use sacrifices to maintain peace and security."

Nick Fury swallowed the food that was not fully chewed in his mouth, and then spoke silently.

"Okay, Director! Stop playing the sad game. It's never you who sacrifices, but people like me and Steve. We pay the price, and you 'maintain' the peace."

Rumlow grabbed a piece of meat and looked at it, as if he were bored.

"For example, this piece of meat, who can guarantee that it will not be in danger? For example, will I eat it?"

"What I do is to allow the 'meat' to have more time and make the guys who want to eat the earth pay the price!"

Nick Fury picked up Steve's wine glass and poured it over the meat.

"Now, he's not so tasty."

"But I just like the taste."

Rumlow stuffed the meat soaked in liquor into his mouth.

"It's just that I haven't lit a fire yet, and I don't have the ability to buy the time to light it."

Nick Fury looked up at Rumlow, but Jessica was ignored by him.

"So, you want us to be the group of people fighting for time, even if we have to sacrifice ourselves?"

Matthew was facing Nick Fury, and he could hear Nick Fury's heartbeat. The unchanging heartbeat at least showed that Nick Fury was serious.

"Fuck the sacrifice, I want you to destroy the purple man's body!"

Jessica bent down and stared into Nick Fury's one eye.

Luke walked to the door and blocked the passage in and out.

He was familiar with this. When he was in elementary school, he always did this when cleaning up the gangsters in the bathroom.

"If you can help me buy time to light the fire, I can destroy the purple man's body as a condition."

Nick Fury already knew what Steve wanted to do, and the Avengers were originally his plan.

Now that there is a possibility of forming the Avengers, Nick Fury does not intend to stay out.

In a few words, he took away the initiative from Steve.

"It's impossible, we won't be your subordinates."

Rumlow was devouring the meat and already had one hand on the handle of the giant hammer.

If Nick Fury is going to say anything outrageous, then he can say goodbye to this life substitute.

"This is also my purpose. Although I don't intend to listen to Nick Fury's command, we need logistics."

"team leader?"

Although Matthew already knew that Steve had something to say, he didn't expect it to be this.

"Rumlow, once a combatant of Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D., now has extraordinary power, but do you know what atonement you have to do next?"

Nick Fury glanced at Rumlow, completely ignoring the threat of the giant hammer.

"Luke Cage, a street hero. Overall, he's pretty good, but he never knew how to be cautious. Do you know what to do to minimize the impact on civilians?"

Nick Fury turned his head and glanced at Luke Cage who was blocking the door behind him. Then he said to Matthew:

"Matthew Murdoch, or should I call you Daredevil? Do you know how many manufacturers and channels Kingpin's dark side empire has? It can only be like a fly in a bottle, constantly getting bigger.

transport."

Nick Fury looked at Jessica, who was still angry.

"Jessica Jones, I have to say I'm sorry. We are committed to solving superpower crimes, but we never noticed that there was a victim like you right under our noses."

Nick Fury stood up with some difficulty and bowed to Jessica to apologize.

"But in order to prevent more people from suffering the torture you have suffered, I hope you can accept S.H.I.E.L.D."

The way Nick Fury is swaying due to his injuries is quite confusing to be honest, at least it makes people less hostile towards him.

"I do not need."

Jessica looked at Nick Fury, her tone contained anger, and she spoke word by word, but she sat on the chair for a while, took out the remaining liquor and poured it into her mouth.

"Jessica, that's the wine to celebrate your rebirth. It's not suitable to drink at this time. I still have some savings, so I'll take you to the bar for a drink later."

Luke opened the door behind him, walked to Jessica's side and took the jar with some force.

But his attitude showed that he was also shaken by Nick Fury's words.

"What do you represent? SHIELD? Are all the help you can provide us?"

Matthew should be calmer. Sitting opposite Nick Fury, he put his hands on the table and spoke calmly.

"He can, although I don't like him either."

Steve said this, and then looked at Rumlow beside him.

"I said, I don't accept SHIELD's command."

Rumlow looked at Steve, unwavering.

"Then let me take command! You can trust me!"

Steve stood up.

"What I originally wanted to say was for everyone to form a team to deal with things that shouldn't exist. Now that I've said that, I have nothing to hesitate."

Steve picked up the beer in front of him and drank heavily.

The feeling of cold beer passing through his esophagus made him feel relaxed.

"We will figure out what we need from SHIELD's information, but we will not act without knowing anything. I can guarantee this!"

"Steve, is the historical you the real you?"

Matthew's tone was a little cold.

With a background in law, he has doubts about many things, including the story of Captain America.

Studying law will make a person lose his sensibility little by little, and Matthew will not make a choice after a passionate speech.

"I can only use time to prove it."

A series of discussions made this originally cheerful dinner party too tense.

"Give us some time, this kind of thing cannot be determined at that time."

Rumlow finished the glass of wine, picked up the giant hammer in both hands and hung it back on his waist, and was the first to turn around and leave.

"I hope no one installs any gadgets in my apartment."

Rumlow's voice came from outside the door, threatening Nick Fury.

"Jessica, let's go to a drinking bar. I heard that two people drinking alcohol can get through difficult times twice as fast."

Luke invites Jessica.

"Come on Luke. This is not the dinner we promised."

Jessica took back the wine can from Luke's hand and put it into her backpack.

Luke opened his hands and led Jessica out of the restaurant.

"Of course not, although I would love to have dinner with you seven days a week."

Luke's voice came, accompanied by the sound of a fist hitting his waist.

Nick Fury straightened up and looked at Matthew in front of him.

"I don't think an organization that knows those guys exist and doesn't do anything is as noble as you say. But I can take a moment to confirm."

Matthew put away his weapon, took his coat from the hanger, and left silently.

Now only Steve and Nick Fury are left in the room.

"Nick Fury, although I am just a soldier, I am not as stupid as you think."

Steve looked at Nick Fury a little angry.

Nick Fury's constant remarks are undoubtedly trying to get the team's attention.

Especially if it starts before the team is even formed.

"If I don't say this, they will eventually think of it. It's better to solve the problem from the beginning and prevent hidden dangers."

Nick Fury sat on the chair for a while, then picked up the barbecue from the table and stuffed it into his mouth.

"I won't completely trust you because of what you did."

Steve folded his hands in front of him and looked at Nick Fury.
