75. Parasite

Pal came to a street near the Church of Original Fire, but his appearance did not change in any way.

"Pal, do you have any wishes?" Disguised Father Barton asked beside him.

Parr whispered:

"This is not a suitable place to talk. You come with me first."

Parr waved his hand and walked towards the alley.

Father Barton was not at all wary of his friend, whom he had known since childhood and who had grown up listening to the goddess's teachings, and followed him with confidence.

As there were fewer and fewer pedestrians around, and they were getting farther and farther away from the city center, Barton asked:

"Where are we going now."

Parr replied:

"Outside the city."

Barton nodded. His friend has always been like this. He is very independent and not used to explaining his behavior to others. Only the people he knows best can feel his kindness. Parr will never betray his friends.

Because of this, he offended many people when he was in the Holy City, but he still continued to climb up with his outstanding talents and was unstoppable.

I still remember that time when I was fifteen years old. At that time, I was pretty good-looking, but Father God almost called me into his room.

Foolishly, I thought the priest wanted to tell him about the doctrine of the goddess, but those who saw it just watched indifferently.

Only Parr suddenly appeared, saved himself from that hell, and stopped the old priest's evil deeds.

I don't know if it's because of this that his memory of events decades ago is very blurry, but he remembers everything about Parr very clearly.

Another time, he met a girl he liked, and Parr also helped him pursue the girl very carefully. Unfortunately, at that time, he was working in the Alien Hunting Court, with too much blood on his hands, and he was worried about the monsters all the time.

Even though he was attacked, he didn't dare to fall in love with a girl.

Later, the girl seemed to marry a craftsman, and he didn't know what happened after that.

Ten years ago, he could have returned to the church to be the bishop of a small diocese, but he refused the job. He still remembered that at that time, Pal persuaded himself to just forget it, but he was so

Longing for power and strength, longing to be so strong that no one can hurt him anymore.

If he had listened to Pal's advice, would he not have been awakened by nightmares today?

Parr turned around:

"This is it."

Barton looked around, and they entered a palm forest unknowingly:

"Is it really necessary to go this far?"

Parr said seriously:

"Of course it is necessary. You will know why soon."

Barton believed his friend's words:

"Okay, sir, what do you want you to bring me?"

"My lord asked me to tell you..." Parr walked up to Barton, "He will wait for you in hell."

Parr's hands penetrated his abdomen and held his spine.

Barton spat out a mouthful of blood and looked at Parr with his body trembling:

"You can't be Parr, who are you?"

Parr threw his head back and laughed heartily:

"Hahahahahaha, who am I? I'm Parr. My name hasn't even changed in thirty years. You idiots still can't find me. It's really ridiculous."

Barton said in disbelief:

"Impossible! Parr would never do such a thing."

Parr lowered his eyebrows and said gently:

"Have you forgotten? Then let me help you recall it. Sad aliens, shapeshifters, faceless men, parasites, and demons. These are the names you gave us."

Barton's breathing almost stopped, his eyes widened, and he didn't want to believe that his old friend of decades was actually a shape-shifter.

And it is also the most evil, disgusting, and terrifying among the shapeshifters.

"Parasitic! Impossible! We have obviously driven you all to an end."

Parr shook his finger:

"No, no, no, we are the ones who make you think that you have driven us to death.

"It's ironic, isn't it? In the beginning, although there were nearly 10,000 people in our species, our ability was only to transform and make people around us think that we were their friends or relatives. Even because of the flaws in our abilities, we couldn't even be in the same place.

Stayed too long.”

Patton looked disgusted:

"Pathetic species, you are parasitic around us humans, enjoying emotions that do not belong to you! Evil and dirty monsters!"

Parr laughed and said:

"We didn't take the initiative to kill anyone at first, we just added family members to a few humans, but you guys hunted us to near extinction.

"But you don't know that apart from our abilities, we are weak and ordinary, but we have a characteristic that can be called great. All dead parasites will pass on their memories and power to their nearest kind.

"In this way, ten thousand people turned into a thousand people, a thousand people turned into a hundred people, and a hundred people turned into dozens of people, but any one of us left is more terrifying than all the monsters you hunted.

.”

Barton suddenly realized something and looked horrified:

"The reason why we think we have finished hunting you is because there is a parasite in the church now, and he made the church think that the parasite has been extinct."

Parr patted Barton's head with his other hand:

"Smart, I will reward you for living one more minute."

Barton shook his head:

"Don't kill me! I can help you."

Parr turned cold and said:

"It seems that you really don't remember. Haven't you realized why I came to you?

"Thirty-eight years ago, four months and seven days.

"In Gray Reef Town, you snatched a simple woman in her twenties from the hotel. You chopped her into pieces indifferently. In order to prevent her from resurrecting, you burned her with a holy fire.

"That will do nothing but make her death more painful."

Patton remembers this scene:

"She's a monster! I have to..."

Parr punched him in the face:

"Monster? She is a newborn of our clan. She was only three years old at that time. Her parents were brutally murdered by you. She doesn't even know her own identity, nor can she use her abilities skillfully.

"She was just sleeping there peacefully, but you broke her hope of living, pulled her out of the quilt, and killed her without saying a word."

Barton spat:

"That town is dead."

Barton pointed to his head:

"She didn't kill him, I remember it very clearly."

"I still remember her despair, her pain, her wails, and the feeling of being burned alive by the holy fire, which still echoes in my mind.

"I swear to kill all members of the Primeval Fire, and maybe destroy humanity as well."

Although Barton could not speak clearly, he still said with a smile:

"You monsters, even if she didn't kill people at first, she will still kill people later. Maybe my hands are stained with the blood of innocent monsters, but so what? In order to save more humans, someone must bear these sins. I don't regret it.

.

"Not to mention, monsters are monsters, and innocent monsters are also monsters."

Par Yin smiled and said:

"Of course you won't regret it, and you don't have the right to regret it.

"I am not here to offer you salvation, but to drag you into hell.

"You are right about one thing, I am a monster, so I will kill everyone who is related to you executioners. You should be glad that your parents are dead, but the girl is still alive."

Barton said angrily:

"You can not!"

Pal laughed and said:

"No, I can! I'm a monster."

Parr broke Patton's spine.

Only then did Barton suddenly remember that when he was called to the room by the old priest, no one came to save him.

All subsequent decisions were made by him.
