52. tease you

Gary said hello to Barton and walked towards Hevin's position from the other side of the hall.

In full view of everyone, Gary stood in front of Hewen, smiled and asked in a low voice:

"Wright, what's the matter with you here?"

Although he maintained a superficial politeness, the questioning and threats in his words were very obvious.

Hevin actually doesn't hate Gary at all.

Who doesn't like to tease fools?

"Mission." Hewen only replied with two words.

Gary suddenly realized that although he didn't like Hevin, he took Tire's mission 100% seriously.

He walked to the corner with Hewen and asked:

"Did you find anything?"

Hevin replied:

"I have made great progress, so I came here to investigate."

After hearing this, Gary was instantly unhappy. He originally thought that Hevin had found clues from the Knights and came here to look for him.

Gary said coldly:

"If you don't have any clues, get out of here. The church is the area I'm responsible for. You do your own thing."

Hewen asked politely:

"Do you want to realize Tire's plan? Or do you want to compete with me for so-called credit and slow down the progress of the plan."

Gary was asked immediately. To be honest, he wanted to make some achievements for Tier to see.

But if this will delay Tyr's plan, then...

Gary said reluctantly:

"Okay, I'll pretend I didn't see you, but don't do anything stupid for me."

Couldn't Gary see that talking to him in a place like this was already a fool's errand?

Hewen smiled and said:

"No, no, no, you don't have to pretend you haven't seen me, you can still answer a few questions for me."

Gary's face turned completely gloomy, as if he would get angry at any time:

"Don't push me any further, I can crush you to death with just one hand."

Hewen looked curious:

"Why do you always want to kill your own people? Are you an undercover agent sent by the Primordial Fire?"

Gary's eyes were on fire:

"I won't allow you to slander me."

Hewen patted Gary's face with his hand and said in a cold tone:

"Then you must cooperate with me to complete the task and don't lose your temper like a child, do you understand?"

Gary's face turned red with anger and he couldn't speak for a long time:

"you you you……"

Hewen frowned and asked with interest:

"Me what?"

Gary was discouraged:

"What's your problem."

Hewen returned to his smile:

"Barton should always be by your side to control you."

Although Gary accepted his fate, his expression was extremely bad:

"So what, Alec is not important at all. Now we have to focus on Lord Tyr's mission."

Hevin finally understood why Tyr wanted Mary Anne to work with him.

Because if Mary Anne wasn't such a careful person and good at coaxing children, it would be impossible to cooperate well with him.

Hewen asked:

"Don't you know that Barton is Alec's confidant? If they have planted spies in the Knights, wouldn't he know? Since he has been staying with you, you can't take this opportunity to find out if he

Is there anything strange about it?"

"What you said..." Gary was stunned, "It seems to make sense."

Hewen was completely shocked.

He had dealt with people who were irritable, reckless, and had character flaws many times, but this was the first time he had seen such a fool.

Hevin calmed down and coaxed Gary to ask:

"Then did you find any problems?"

Gary recalled:

"It seems that there is a female believer who has been in contact with him. Is it possible that she has something to do with this matter?"

Hewen continued to guide:

"It's very likely that you don't know much about this believer."

Gary said:

"I remember she had curly brown hair, was very beautiful, and looked like an aristocrat."

Hewen asked:

"Where's her name?"

Gary shook his head:

"I have no idea."

Hevin didn't want to continue talking to him and walked towards Barton's position.

Gary grabbed Hewen:

"What are you doing? This is my mission!"

Hewen looked at him impatiently and said sarcastically:

"Your mission? Do you want to mess up Tyr's plan?"

Gary was so frightened that he let go of his hand.

‘Children are really troublesome.’ Hewen thought helplessly.

If Alec and Barton hadn't completely imagined that Gary, as a saint, would betray the church, he would have been exposed long ago.

Hevin walked to the front of the chapel and waited patiently until Barton finished presiding.

After hesitating again and again, Gary walked away in dejection. He didn't want to look at Hevin again.

"...We return to the flames, live forever in the Kingdom of Fire, sing and dance day and night, and enjoy the final joy and redemption with the goddess Gafunan and her people."

The believers also sang hymns loudly.

After it was over, Barton stood up and asked the monks and nuns to perform the retreat ceremony for him. Then he walked to Hewen's side, held Hewen's hands enthusiastically, and said happily:

"Mr. Wright, thank you for your continued support of us."

Although Hevin had shaved his beard, Barton still recognized him at first sight.

Therefore, he is worthy of serving as an auxiliary bishop.

Barton said apologetically:

"Father Gary has just caused you a lot of trouble. I am here to apologize for him. He is an immature person, but he is also a devout priest. Sometimes he does stupid things, maybe just because he is too impulsive."

Barton had just seen clearly on the stage that Gary had been looking bad and seemed about to get angry at any time. It was obvious that the two had had a very fierce quarrel.

It seemed that Wright was the winner of this quarrel. Barton knew that Gary had gone to trouble him, so he had no doubt that the two would quarrel.

Hewen looked magnanimous, as if he was not the one who deliberately angered Gary:

"It's okay. I can understand his mood. We are all working hard to realize the goddess's teachings."

What he said was not completely wrong. Gary did feel that all his actions were following the guidance of the goddess Gaffnan.

Hewen was about to continue talking, but a figure interrupted his thinking.

A brown-haired aristocratic lady walked up to the two of them in a long skirt:

"Father Barton, this is the famous Mr. Wright." The brown-haired lady bowed slightly and saluted, "Thank you for everything you have done for the church and the city of Forth."

Hewen looked at her round face and said:

"I just did what I could, that's all. Who is this lady?"

Barton quickly interjected:

"She is a noble lady from St. Karen and a devout believer of ours."

St. Karen is the most powerful country in the Church of Original Fire, and it is also a behemoth on the mainland.

The noble lady kept a polite smile:
