429. Black Beast(1/2)

Darkness poured down from the sky.

A basement filled with light.

Entities made of darkness flocked toward them greedily like monsters that coveted light and hope, baring their teeth and claws at the areas that had not yet been invaded.

Shadows dripped from the gaps in the trap door like black hot liquid, flowing down the stairs, sometimes rolling upwards, like multi-legged animals crawling on the ground.

Enid pulled the door shut.

The darkness disappeared.

Just like the mottled light spot is separated from the source, it naturally leaves the space that does not belong to it.

But this time light and shadow are reversed.

Enid turned to Nelly and said:

"Do you still want to come with me? I don't know exactly what I am going to face, but at least I can feel its weirdness and abnormality.

"I'm not sure I can protect you."

Nelly said:

"I don't need anyone else's protection."

Raven agreed from the side:

"At least I don't need this guy's protection. In fact, I think she is the biggest unstable factor."

Enid said:

"I won't advise you anymore, but I hope you know one thing when you go out, that is, you may die."

Nelly looked at Bai Long and nodded.

Enid said nothing, turned around and pushed open the trap door, then took a step forward and was submerged in the shadows.

Nelly followed without hesitation.

Snapped!

The trap door slammed shut.

Nelly couldn't see anything.

Darkness spreads in all directions.

Enid's voice came from nearby:

"Can you hear me?"

Nelly replied:

"It's very clear, you are right in front of me."

Enid responded:

"I did move to the right just now. This shadow can only block our vision, but cannot affect our hearing and perception of space."

Nelly replied:

"Have you never heard of this phenomenon?"

Enid said:

"Is it such a specific situation? No, but I have actually heard of some similar incidents, but according to the records, they are far more troublesome than the problems we are facing now.

"The most basic prerequisite is that you can't communicate with other people at all. There are also some dark areas that once you step into, you can never come out."

Nelly said:

"Then you still come in directly?"

Enid said:

"My intuition tells me that the danger does not come from the darkness itself. Besides, I am not a mortal who can be killed casually. The blood of the white dragon flows in my body.",

Nelly said:

"Okay, what do we do now? And if there's something in the dark, could it be listening to our conversation."

Enid said:

"Maybe, but it doesn't matter. No matter where the other person is, what he is thinking, or what he is going to do, I will destroy him."

arrogant.

Nelly felt the impact Enid claimed to have had.

This arrogance is simply too much.

She was clearly facing a dangerous enemy, and when she didn't know the enemy's strength, she spoke without authorization.

Enid also sensed the implications of Nelly's silence:

"Don't worry, although I may sound arrogant, and I may not pay too much attention to some insignificant details, but when I really face the enemy, I will not relax or look down on it.

"The dragon must always remain vigilant even when facing tiny mortals.

"Otherwise, if you are not careful, some part of the dragon's body will become a decoration for the princes and nobles."

Although Enid said it sincerely, Nellie was still unwilling to give her trust to her.

She tightened her grip on the ax in her hand and whispered softly:

"When you kill someone, can you not erase everything about him...

"Can't you? Then if you encounter an inhuman monster later, you can kill it, but if you can't confirm it, don't kill it.

"I know you are aggrieved. Be obedient and you will have a chance to eat in the future."

Enid glanced doubtfully in the direction where Nelly was speaking, but she also knew that Nelly couldn't see the expression on her face.

But her expression is not open to other interpretations.

She has always been alone.

Previously.

There is no difference now.

Nelly shouted:

"This is a private residence and you have violated the laws of England."

Enid added:

"Even if you don't, I can tell my mother to pass a new law for you.

"I am Enid White Pendragon, the biological daughter of Lord Justice Karen White. Whatever you want to do? If you continue, it will not end well."

No one responded to her.

Enid said:

"Then your target is me, right? Come on."

Roar.

The low roar of the beast sounded from a position slightly higher and to the right of the two of them.

Then bursts of beastly roars sounded in all directions, one after another, forming a rhythmic sound.

They were surrounded.

Nelly whispered:

"Mortavi, help me stop them."

At the same time, Nelly heard a roar from her side that was louder than the beast's voice just now.

boom!

The ground shook slightly.

Nelly knew that Enid was no longer by her side.

The sound of sharp objects breaking through scales sounded first, followed by the sound of objects colliding, the sound of whips tearing the air, and finally the fearful roars of beasts and the smell of fresh blood.

Before Nelly could think carefully about what happened, she felt Mortavi's Ax move.

along with her arms and body.

There wasn't much resistance from the axe.

If it weren't for the joy that came from Mortavi's ax and the sound of the heavy object falling to the ground, she wouldn't even be sure that she really hit something.

The pungent smell of blood appeared again, and this time it was closer.

Nelly twitched her nose.

This time she was sure that it did not smell like human blood.

Nelly relaxed her body and handed over the initiative to the axe.
