364. Jimmy Lester

Jimmy ran away.

Abnormal, weird, weird.

The girl's eyes reminded him inexplicably of that distant night.

When he saw the pale figure under the moonlight, slender arms slowly emerged from the shadows, and the counterintuitive sharp nails seemed to be able to throw away the boy's belly at any time and pick out his organs and put them into his mouth.

The feeling that Hall gave him had a certain unique similarity to that monster. It was not a sense of danger or terror, but a feeling that Jimmy could not explain.

Reason told him that running away was the only correct choice.

He has never told his family about the first time he saw the lanky ghost.

He always feels, he always feels, he always feels...

he knows.

He knew that he was the one who led the monster to his home, he knew that he was the one who allowed the monster to find his father, and he knew that he was the one who killed Ogden Lester, the old man who loved him.

Jimmy actually knew it all along.

That night, he turned off the lights and closed the curtains.

But he kept standing by the window.

He is listening.

But all he heard was silence.

The exact words he said to Hewen at that time were:

"After I saw the monster, I turned around and ran home. I could feel it always behind me, but I don't know why it didn't catch me. When I entered the house, he completely disappeared."

Jimmy told Hevin that the monster had been following him, but the monster did not catch him and disappeared.

He didn't mean the monster left.

the reason is simple.

He felt it vaguely.

The monster didn't leave.

When he met Hewen again, it was at Nelly's college entrance banquet.

His original words at that time were:

"My father, Ogden, has been a little strange during this period. I have confirmed again and again that he remembers things that only he and I know. His habits and subconscious actions have not changed. He is who he is, but he is very different from usual.

I doubt that monster did something bad to him.

"Maybe he hid the monster."

Jimmy goes to confirm whether his father remembers things that only they know, because he feels that the monster must have done something to his father.

And he knows.

He is the guide of monsters,

He found his father with the monster, then he closed his mouth, closed his eyes, and ran away leaving his father behind.

He is a sinner.

He roared at Hevin, blaming him for killing his father.

Because he knows who the murderer is.

He was afraid that others would find out that he was the murderer of his father, so he instinctively blamed the person he trusted most besides his family, because he knew that Hevin would not hurt him.

But if others knew that he had led the monster into his home, his self-blame and shame would be enough to kill him.

He was ashamed to admit this fact, so he told lies to himself.

He told himself that it was Hevin who failed to save his father, and that he was not the one who let the monster into his home. Those strange noises did not mean that the monster killed his father, but were just his auditory hallucinations.

He deceived himself.

The boy "saved" himself with false blame and liberated himself from the prison cast by guilt.

Once again he ran away.

When there was a knock on the door and he heard his father's voice, he had forgotten that Ogden might have fallen into the monster's clutches. He seemed to be grabbing a life-saving straw, as if he could just let the monster in.

Go back to the past and forget the night when you brought the monster,

It wasn't until his mother chopped off the monster's head with an ax that he briefly regained consciousness.

At that time, he clearly realized that all this was not Hevin's fault at all, but that the evil shape-shifter had killed his father.

So Jimmy no longer yelled at Hevin anxiously to hide his guilt, but asked him if he could learn the technique of hunting shapeshifters.

But when he left his hometown and came to Wharton, the slender white figure often entered his dream version and visited his life.

Guilt chased Jimmy from Dawn Town to Wharton City, returning to his life through dreams, like an elusive monster, staring at Jimmy all the time.

He fell into the abyss again.

Yes, he actually knew that he claimed to hunt shapeshifters just to cover up his cowardice and to vent his desperate anger.

He is just a clown angry at the air.

But so what, what else can he do? Should he change everything that has happened? Should he go to the underworld to accompany his father?

He began to avoid, avoiding Nelly's greetings, avoiding his mother's eyes, avoiding his grandfather's smile, and walked alone in isolation.

Because every time he saw his family, Jimmy would think about what would happen to them if they knew that he killed his father?

Jimmy didn't dare to imagine deeply, otherwise there might be three more familiar faces in his nightmare, especially the one that had passed away. He would definitely yell at the trembling Jimmy:

"Why did you bring it?"

Everything doesn't matter anymore, just like his life doesn't matter anymore. Let's just move forward in such a muddle. Even if Bain doesn't mean everything he says, just listen to him.

Anyway, everything doesn't matter anymore.

It doesn't matter if you're like a walking zombie, it doesn't matter if you hurt others, it doesn't matter if people treat you like a joke.

But he has a problem with repeating the same mistakes.

Jimmy clenched his fists.

Gone, just disappeared.

He watched the man walk into the alley with his own eyes, but when he followed him, the man disappeared, and so did his accomplice who was supposed to be inside.

Only beautiful girls are left.

Just like that silent night, there was not even the sound of moving goods.

The monster also disappeared in this way, disappearing with his life.

This is the beginning of Jimmy's cruel reality.

He turned around and looked at the alley he had just walked out of.

In his eyes at this moment, the fragile and beautiful girl had been deformed and twisted into the slender and pale figure before.

Jimmy used his remaining rationality to tell himself that the female student standing inside was a female student from Wharton College, his victim, not some evil monster.

Screw rationality!

Jimmy allowed himself to be overwhelmed by chaotic emotions.

He gritted his teeth and rushed towards the alley.

Snapped!

Jimmy tripped and fell to the ground.

"Oh, oh, oh, boy, don't run so fast." A pair of warm arms supported him, and a lazy female voice sounded in his ears.

"Jimmy Lester, right? I know you've encountered the same thing before, but don't worry, if you approach her now, you'll just alert her.
