Chapter 233 The Libyan Storm 1

While the lurkers and the LRA waited quietly, all the eyes of the world turned to the Libyan government. The February 17 revolution had ignited the internal war in Libya, and a war broke out between the anti-government armed forces and the Libyan government led by Gaddafi.

The fight for freedom.

Affected by the "Arab Spring" wave in neighboring countries, peaceful anti-government demonstrations began on February 15, 2011. The activities were suppressed by force by government forces and triggered an uprising.

The initial demonstrations started in Benghazi, Libya's second largest city, and gradually spread across the country. People demanded that the revolutionary leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who had ruled for 42 years since 1969, step down and implement democracy.

Change. The forces opposing Gaddafi formed the "National Transitional Council" with the purpose of overthrowing Gaddafi's dictatorship and establishing a democratic government.

On February 26, the United Nations Security Council passed its first resolution to freeze Gaddafi's assets and refer the matter to the International Criminal Court. In early March, Gaddafi's army attacked the opposition stronghold of Benghazi in the east. On March 17,

The United Nations Security Council once again passed a resolution authorizing member states to establish a no-fly zone over Libya.

On March 19, the "Odyssey Dawn" military operation was launched by the NATO coalition forces led by the United States, France, and Britain. France took the lead. Less than two hours after the summit, France dispatched "Rafale" and "Mirage 2000" fighter jets.

In Libya's second largest city, four air strikes were launched in the opposition stronghold of Benghazi, destroying many Libyan government tanks and armored vehicles.

At 19:00 in the evening, the US guided missile destroyer USS Barry in the Mediterranean launched Tomahawk cruise missiles towards Libya, firing a total of more than 110 Tomahawk missiles.

On March 20, France and the United States launched military strikes on the air and sea. France dispatched at least 15 fighter planes to participate in military operations against Libya that day, and hundreds of British special forces entered Libya.

At this point, the Libyan war broke out in an all-round way, becoming the largest military operation launched by Western countries after the Iraq War, and opened the curtain of military intervention in Libya.

This is a resource war, and it is also a vigorous and unyielding independent government resistance war. The Benghazi military fortress fell rapidly under attacks from the United States, Britain, France, Norway, Spain, Canada, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and anti-government armed forces.

, causing the Libyan government forces to withdraw from Benghazi and stick to the northern region centered on Tripoli.

As the country was really completely opened up, mercenaries from all walks of life who saw war like flies seeing blood began to rush towards Libya crazily, hoping to get a share of the war.

This war under the guise of "humanitarian rescue and protection of civilians" instantly became a paradise for mercenaries. NATO countries hired a large number of mercenaries to become ground troops and served as pioneers to complete the occupation and delivery of towns; Gaddafi

The government also hired large numbers of mercenaries to fight for towns and cities to fight against the Allied forces.

The early ground combat of this war became the main battlefield for mercenaries. They fought against each other under the temptation of money to open up a path for the Allies or the Gaddafi regime.

Benghazi is the second largest city and important seaport in Libya, and the capital of Benghazi District. It is located in the northeastern corner of Libya, across the sea from Tripoli.

Benghazi, which used to be prosperous in the past, became riddled with holes due to air strikes, with billowing black smoke rising everywhere in the city. Broken high-rise buildings can be seen everywhere on the streets, as well as the bodies of soldiers and civilians struck by air strikes.

A group of civilians armed with firearms rushed to some shops to loot during the air raids. Children who were unable to join the looting team quickly groped for the bodies: watches, rings, necklaces, lighters, wallets, etc.

"Da da da..." Clear gunshots came from the store, and then a group of civilians ran out carrying food, water, and gold and silver jewelry.

At this moment, another group of armed civilians rushed out of the alley and shot at them with short rifles without hesitation. The bullets flew, and the civilians who had just completed the robbery were shot and fell, and the looted items were also stolen by others.

A group of people looted everything.

From another half-collapsed building, women screamed in pain and fear. The weak women were violated by thugs. No one would care about these things, because such things happened in every corner of Benghazi. It can only be said that

Their luck is not very good.

Without Gaddafi's protection, the first to be harmed are these women who have been promoted. The rebels oppose everything Gaddafi does. They overthrow Gaddafi's regime in order to liberate Libya, but they are ideal.

The fighting below made them become more brutal people.

"Bang!"

As gunfire rang out, the woman's voice disappeared, apparently raped and then shot to death in the rubble.

Several anti-government soldiers walked out of the ruins contentedly while holding up their pants. At the same time, several soldiers walked out of a store not far away. They nodded tacitly and waved to each other.

The gold rings on their hands shone brilliantly in the sun, and some even wore two rings on one finger. These were all robbed things, and as the vanguard, they enjoyed this special right.

A group of refugees appeared at the crossroads. This group of refugees was unarmed. Most of them were old, weak, sick and disabled, women and children. This was a group of refugees who were sheltered by men, but the men who sheltered them had already died in the battle between civilians.

When this group of refugees saw the anti-government soldiers, they were so frightened that they immediately ran backwards, trying to escape the other party's sight.

"Ta da da..." "Ta da da..." Several anti-government armed soldiers merged together, chased the refugees, and shot them without mercy.

Those who are loyal to Gaddafi are their enemies. Places beyond the reach of their superiors are their playground, and they are the masters.

The unarmed refugees fell instantly and were surrounded by several soldiers.

These soldiers did not continue to fight, but picked through the refugees, and finally selected a few good-looking women and pulled them out, including several girls aged thirteen or fourteen.

Gunshots rang out again, and the remaining refugees were shot mercilessly, and all their jewelry was plundered. The women who were selected were then pulled into a nearby room amidst the cries and accepted the miserable ravages. The girl's voice was particularly miserable, from the beginning

The loud crying turned into low sobbing, and finally there was no sound.

A soldier walked out with satisfaction, but as soon as he reached the door, he was horrified to find that he and the others were surrounded by a group of government troops.

"Ta-ta-ta..." The government soldiers pulled the trigger mercilessly and beat it into a hornet's nest.

Then the government troops rushed into the house like a pack of hungry wolves, shot and killed the anti-government soldiers, and rescued the battered women.

"You are safe, we are the president's soldiers." A government army officer comforted the raped women and took off his coat to cover their bodies.

Under the protection of the soldiers, several women burst into tears and followed the soldiers to the shelter.

Just as the soldiers and the rescued women had just crossed the intersection, a Kestrel helicopter gunship roared over and fired two missiles.

"Boom! Boom!"

Violent explosions were heard, and black and red flames shot into the sky. Government soldiers and women were torn apart by shrapnel, lying quietly on the war-torn streets...

"Multinational air strikes have killed 40 people and injured more than 150 people in Libya." This is a media report, a rhetoric. In fact, no one knows the number of casualties in Benghazi City. The air strikes directly caused some casualties, but

The greater casualties were caused by the bombs caused by the air raids.

"Captain, this battle is brutal." A mercenary hiding in the blind spot of the damaged building called into the radio.

The mercenary was wearing a French general camouflage uniform, holding an M-4 carbine and using an infrared telescope to observe the situation on the street.

"Yes, this battle is very cruel. All we have to do is reduce casualties and complete this mission." The voice of the mercenary leader came over the radio.

"Understood." The mercenary said to the radio: "No armed forces were found, the tank can pass. In fact, this is a small matter, we are omnipotent hunters, haha..."

"Shot, don't be careless. Even if you are the strongest, you may not be able to come back alive in this kind of war. If you still want to go back and count the money, don't be careless at all."

"Understood, captain." The mercenary who called for burst shooting continued to observe and give instructions on the progress of the mission.

"Rumble..." The sound of tanks rolling on the ground came from the street to the west.

The tank is equipped with a 25mm machine gun and is surrounded by mercenaries wearing French general camouflage. These mercenaries are armed with different firearms and pay careful attention to the front, rear and left as they escort the tank towards its destination.

After the air strike, Benghazi was divided into two halves, one half was West Benghazi controlled by the rebels, and the other half was East Benghazi controlled by Gaddafi government forces. The mission of the Hunter-Killer mercenary group was to escort the tanks into the East and West Benghazi.

The demarcation line between western Canada and western Canada was used to carry out armed attacks on eastern Benghazi, and tanks were used to bulldoze the road ahead.

The hunters escorting the tanks have entered the east-west border line, where government troops and anti-government armed forces are active. The two sides are engaged in brutal and repeated offensive and defensive battles. The appearance of a tank will make the government troops destroy it regardless of the cost, because once

There will be no way to stop the tanks from entering the city streets in eastern Benghazi. The rumbling tanks are like ferocious beasts, and the infantry will sweep through everything under the cover of the tanks.

The tank slowly advanced eastward under the escort of hunter-killer mercenaries. The occupation of the Allied ground troops depended on whether the tank could clear the roadblock. Once the passage was opened, subsequent tank troops would move in on a large scale,

The city of Benghazi was occupied.

To put it simply, the hunters who escorted the first tank to its destination were cannon fodder. They had to use their valuable lives and precious Allied soldiers to open up a free passage, and then hand over the battlefield to the Allied tank troops. After delivery, their mission was completed.

After collecting the money, the Allies carried out the next one-sided battle to reduce casualties.

"Tanks are preparing to enter North Jiushidu Street. The first group will complete the occupation of the cafe on the east side; the second and third groups will control the street and the buildings on the west side of the street." The leader of the hunter-killer regiment issued an order.

Following the order, a group of six people quickly ran forward and occupied the cafe directly across the street.

At this moment, a rocket dragged its long tail towards the group that entered and ran to the middle of the street.

"Boom", a loud explosion sounded, and a car parked at the end of the street was surrounded by flames. The debris generated by the explosion cut into the mercenary's body mercilessly, taking away several lives.

"One group is under attack, one group is under attack! Asking for support, asking for support!" The mercenary who was lucky enough to survive the explosion loudly shouted the attack alarm despite the ringing in his ears.
