Chapter 14 The Messenger

A total of twenty elves were already owned by Li Lin. Although they were bought in person, they still raised their chests and looked fearless. However, even so, these elves were secretly panicked. They were not ignorant young birds. They had heard of the cruel methods of human beings to treat them. They would try their best to torture their souls and bodies, and eventually make them surrender to their feet. All this was like a surging torrent with almost no room for maneuver. At the moment, their fate was just here in advance.

Under Li Lin's command, the fat merchant brought them to the sparsely populated warehouse area. Although he didn't know why this man wanted these elves, he didn't have the courage to ask more questions. The biting cold air that even the soul could freeze from Li Lin's palm has not yet been eliminated, which made the fat merchant almost have no mood to meddle in other people's business. Even when Li Lin asked for the warehouse he originally used to imprison these elves, the fat merchant also agreed. Anyway, what he earned was enough to make a profit. Even if he sold it to the West, after deducting freight and tariffs, he might not make so much money. Now that he can make money for nothing, he certainly wouldn't be stupid enough to ask questions.

After closing the door and confirming that those who were in the trouble had been away, Li Lin carefully observed the group of elves who became prisoners. It was obvious that even if they were sold in person, they still showed their arrogant nature. They stood there with their chests raised and their heads raised, as if they were disdainful to the humans in front of them. Li Lin was sure that this behavior would definitely arouse Anjiela's appetite - what she liked the most was to conquer these so-called arrogant people.

However, Li Lin spent so much money to add toys and food to Angela.

Although the elves are very arrogant at the moment and do not even take Li Lin seriously, deep down they are far less confident than they show. These elves are not newborn birds. They have heard a lot of terrible rumors about humans from their compatriots. They can even torture you, use harsh means to torture your body and mind, and finally make you surrender to their feet. This process is almost like a flood of floods, and what they are doing now is just like facing destruction in despair, at least they must maintain their final dignity.

Li Lin sighed in his heart, and then he stretched out a finger and pointed at one of the elves. With the sound of a low singing voice, magical characters appeared on the back of Li Lin's hand again. They were transformed into new spells, and then shot out from Li Lin's fingers like arrows. Before the elf reacted, it penetrated into her body. Then, Li Lin reached out and pressed down, and a nearly weak and invisible aura spread from him as the center point, surrounding the entire house. From now on, this warehouse no longer exists, at least, this is how people outside see it.

"You'd better stay here quietly and don't think about trying to escape."

Although the elves remained silent, Li Lin had already seen their panic.

"I just put a curse in your fellow countrymen's body, and she will die immediately once someone leaves here. Therefore, I advise you not to make some very dangerous plans to prevent the fire of life of your fellow countrymen from disappearing."

As he said that, Li Lin bowed slightly and then left the warehouse.

He has more important things to do.

Buying these elves was just an accident in Li Lin's action. He didn't have time to think too much about his efforts. Fortunately, Li Lin did not spend much time and got the results he wanted. In the depths of a nearly desolate park, he found one of the entrances. It was a large sculpture. It had been experiencing thousands of years of wind and rain, and it has become incomplete until now, and has even been modified into a useless symbol. However, as a mage, Li Lin still keenly felt the magic power sealed inside. He confirmed again that there was no one around, and then recited the opened spell. With a slight sound, a small cave was exposed behind the sculpture. If you don't look carefully, no one would notice it.

Li Lin did not go down immediately. He stood at the entrance of the cave, silent. Then he recited the spell again and closed the exit. Because at this moment, he saw several familiar figures walking towards this corner of his eyes. In order to prevent accidents, Li Lin retreated, and then the entire scenery became distorted, and then, like a canvas, blocking Li Lin's figure, as if nothing had appeared there.

Duncan entered the park silently. He raised his head and patrolled the surroundings majesticly, as if he was observing whether there were idle people here, but it was obvious that there was no one here, which made him nod in satisfaction.

"Knight Duncan."

A young voice sounded, and Li Lin remembered that this was another paladin named Silas, Duncan's deputy. Angela once secretly mocked the man, believing that the reason he was so loyal to Duncan was because of some inconvenient interest. Although she had a lot of speculations to Li Lin, the scene of two naked men hugging each other made Li Lin feel nauseous, but because of this, he remembered the paladin.

"Miss Mina and Miss Fina have returned to their room."

"very good."

Duncan nodded with satisfaction, and he looked around again, as if he was not very relieved about the current situation.

“Remember the teachings of God.”

He said again, with a serious tone.

"Don't let lies obscure your mind, and don't let doubts occupy your mind."

"I understand what you mean, Knight Duncan."

In Angela's narrative, the next thing should be the two men gradually approaching, and then their thick arms hugged each other - fortunately, these two people were obviously not as depraved as Angela said. Silas just knocked on the armor on his chest heavily, and then turned and left.

What happened?

Li Lin thought carefully. He didn't understand why he had to say such irrelevant things in such a deserted place. A few nonsense words were like this... Does this also need to be kept secret? But just as Li Lin was thinking, he was surprised to find that Duncan was stroking in his direction. He subconsciously took a step back, thinking that the Paladin had seen through his magic disguise, but when Duncan took out the holy badge and placed it between his hands to pray, Li Lin realized that he had guessed wrong. Obviously, because there was no temple in this city, the Paladin had to change places to pray.

"Great God of Justice, please guide us on our way."

Duncan didn't notice Li Lin on the side, but instead prayed in a low voice.

"We are about to embark on a dangerous journey and may not be able to return to you alive again, but your will is where we guide you."

He whispered, praying was over. Then, Duncan put away his badge and turned to leave.

Although Duncan's actions didn't seem strange, Li Lin was a little surprised when he and the knight mentioned the two priests specifically, but this was not a question he needed to care about now. Li Lin put away his thoughts and turned around and left the place.

When he returned to the warehouse, the elves were still waiting quietly, and they didn't even move. Perhaps it was because of Li Lin's warning, or perhaps it was because they realized that even if they escaped, they were just futile, but no matter what, these elves still looked quite obedient.

In fact, these elves were full of doubts at the moment, and they didn't understand what this man wanted to do. He didn't just covet their beauty like other humans, nor did he want to torture them. What's more, the man casts magic, which means he is a mage. All of this made the elves full of doubts. They had made all kinds of guesses to judge the identity of the man in front of him.

However, when Li Lin spoke and spoke to them in the high elves, these elves were inevitably shocked.

"In the name of the quiet water moon, I am not your enemy, the elves."

Li Lin looked at the elves in front of him and could easily feel their surprise, but he did not stop, but continued.

"I need your help."

"You shocked us, humans."

Finally, a relatively mature elf spoke, although she was not so willing.

"We never knew that a human could use the language of an elf so smoothly. This is really a blasphemy against an elf."

"Put your hostility, elves."

Li Lin frowned. Although he had guessed the bad relationship between elves and humans in a thousand years, he did not expect it to be so bad.

"I can understand your anger, but I hope you will not mist the target of anger. Before being human, I am still a wizard, and I am protecting your lives according to the covenant."

"We don't know what you mean by covenant, humanity."

The elf woman thought for a moment and finally spoke.

"But if you want to use such a trick to exchange for our obedience, then I advise you to give up on this idea."

After thousands of years, have even the elf who live long have forgotten the past history?

Looking at the elf who was still vigilant in front of him, Li Lin sighed deeply in his heart. He once again realized how insignificant his thoughts appeared in front of the long river of history. In fact, this was just a joke that time made for himself - for everyone in this world, the destruction of the empire has become the dust and ruins of history, but for Li Lin, it was only something that happened eighteen years ago. The hatred of the destruction of the country and the family may be able to be resolved after a thousand years, but it cannot be eliminated in just eighteen years.

Perhaps, I should really let go of these grievances. After getting back those valuable treasures, it is better to find a place to start a new life.

Thinking of this, Li Lin felt a little discouraged. Although this may not be interesting for Angela, exploring a world that will be a thousand years later may also be a good choice.

Thinking of this, Li Lin stretched out his hands and removed the spell. Then he turned sideways and threw down a small gem.

"You can leave here and go back to where you want to go."

As he said that, Li Lin opened the door and prepared to leave.

At this moment, a slim figure suddenly rushed in from the door and hit Li Lin. Although this attack caught Li Lin off guard, the magic protection on his body naturally took effect. A translucent circle immediately appeared from him, isolating all attacks from the outside world. The sneak attacker immediately retreated after failing to hit the attack, waved the dagger in his hand, and blocked the mage.

"I don't allow you to hurt my fellow countrymen, humans!"

"I didn't mean to hurt them."

Li Lin looked at the attacker. She was also an elf and didn't look old. But what puzzled Li Lin was that she seemed very familiar, very much like someone she knew.

"If you want, take them away. By the way, tell the Queen that I am really disappointed with the elves now."

"you…………!!"

Hearing Li Lin's skillful high elf speech made the elf girl in front of him slightly stunned, but his surprise was soon replaced by anger.

"You actually dare to treat the Queen..."

She didn't finish her words, because at this moment, Li Lin had already noticed a violent magic fluctuation outside. He was secretly shocked and then quickly retreated. At the same time, several magic missiles tore up the solid gate, and an old man in a mage robe appeared in front of everyone.

"It's actually an elf?"

He looked at the elves behind Li Lin, and a smile appeared on his old face. But when he turned his gaze to Li Lin, the old man's expression immediately became serious.

"Hello, strange caster."

The old man said, and he slapped the staff in his hand hard.

"You have violated the Forbidden Descartes' order to cast magic in the city. Now, I ask you to cancel the spells on your body and surrender immediately."
