Chapter 7 The Little Temple in the Wilderness and the Vixen

Fengling Duke is nearly 500 miles from Danjiangkou, and Wudang Mountain is on the edge of Danjiang River. Xu Buling naturally has to go there in order to bring Dabai and Manzhi back.

After leaving Laolong Mountain with Nightingale, it was more than 200 miles away from Danjiangkou. Mrs. Lu took a boat downstream and probably had arrived.

I originally wanted to rush to Danjiangkou, but not long after leaving Danfeng County, the sky shed tears and rained heavily.

He rushed to the small village near Jinsi Gorge in heavy rain, but because he was not on the avenue, there was no inn for merchants to rest. Xu Buling was not used to bothering the locals, so he went directly to the small temple outside the village to hide from the rain with the nightingale.

Dayue respects Taoism as the national religion, and Buddhism is not prosperous in the Central Plains. The small temples in this remote place naturally become abandoned as the official roads change.

In the afternoon, it was raining heavily outside the small temple, and the roof was leaking. The Buddha statues in the small temple were too old and there was no sign of any Buddha offerings. However, there was still some burnt incense in the incense altar in front. The villagers nearby should come to worship from time to time, and the tidying was quite clean.

Xu Buling took the blanket from the side of the horse, spread it out in the small Buddhist temple, and then leaned around the Buddha statue with the nightingale to rest.

The weather was already cold in late autumn. Nightingale was slim and might feel a little cold, so she leaned directly on Xu Buling's arm, shrank her legs, put her small notebook on her legs, and wrote and painted carefully:

"...Young Master, have you read the "Shan Jing"?"

Xu Buling leaned under the Buddha statue and did nothing, pinched the end of his big braid and swept around his face:

"Shan Hai Jing? Well... I've seen some..."

"There are beasts on the mountain in Qingqiu, which look like a fox and has nine tails. There are vixen in it, which can eat people, but I read the miscellaneous books that say that many scholars go to Beijing to take the exam and stay at dilapidated temples at night, they will encounter vixen. Well, it's just like the young master and sister Xiang'er...Oh~"

Xu Buling raised his hand and tapped Nightingale's head:

"The books are written by scholars. Things you imagine will definitely come from as you feel comfortable."

After being beaten by the young master and being unable to fight back, Nightingale sighed and stopped talking. She put away the notebook, hugged her arms and squinted her eyes for a while.

Nightingale's parents died for the royal palace, and they would definitely not treat her badly since childhood. They lived in the royal palace more precious than many family ladies. They have never left Suzhou City since childhood. This is the first time they sleep in the wilderness, and they are a little uncomfortable.

After leaning on Xu Buling for a while, he couldn't sleep. Nightingale shrank a little, and pillowed directly on Xu Buling's thighs, lying straight. Maybe he had no evil thoughts and was not shy.

Xu Buling looked down at Shui Lingling's little maid, which was a little funny:

"Am I a young master or you a young master? Are we going against it?"

Nightingale folded her hands on her belly and sighed:

"The young master said I was thin and I felt uncomfortable leaning on it."

"I'm not old and I'm quite vengeful."

Xu Buling raised his hand and pinched Nightingale's high nose bridge, and let her go.

Nightingale leaned on her for a moment, but she still didn't feel sleepy at all. She opened her eyes and looked at Xu Buling's chin:

"Young Master, you have been in Chang'an for two years. Have you ever heard stories that are not available in the library?"

Xu Buling recalled it a little:

"Hear some."

"Tell me about it."

Nightingale took out a small notebook and prepared to write it down.

Xu Buling took out the folding fan, and the scholar Lao Xiao looked like a low voice, so he began to speak:

"Today, my grandson will tell you about "Water Margin"..."

Xu Buling told stories vividly and created the atmosphere, but the words were dry and the little girl lying on her legs did not react at all. She also carefully corrected many mistakes, such as there was no such thing as the dynasty of "Song" in history, and killing a tiger with no hands was a hero.

Xu Buling said that it was a fictional history and not referring to reality. Nightingale shook her head and said that if she told this story, there must be many self-righteous people who have not read a few books and are still self-righteous.

Just like this, I said one by one, the story was wrong and turned into a discussion of military and the law of peace. Xu Buling was not a professional, and he could not say that the little nightingale, who read a lot of books and was guided by the royal family staff.

After discussing for a long time, before the result was revealed, footsteps suddenly sounded outside the small ruined temple.

Step on the pedal—

The two of them closed their voices at the same time and looked at the source of the voice.

Xu Buling picked up the long spear on the ground and leaned against the Buddha statue, looking at the wall, moving along the sound until he reached the door of the Buddhist temple.

It was afternoon, and it was not dark outside, but the heavy rain poured on the black clouds, making it look gloomy.

As the footsteps stopped, a figure appeared in the water-blue skirt at the door, the upper body was a blue and white top, a small package hung on his shoulders, and the bun was tied into a flowing cloud bun, and the beaded hairpin was inserted between the buns. When the footsteps stopped, the pearls on the top were still shaking.

Seeing that it was a woman, Xu Buling was a little confused. When he looked carefully, he saw that the person who came was white in skin, fox-like eyes, cherry mouths and slim eyebrows, and his age was not obvious. In terms of appearance, he might not be inferior to Xuan and Bakui. If he insisted on the difference, he might look a little too charming. Even though his expression and behavior were very gentle at this time, he still exuded a seductive scent that attracted males from the inside out, which made people unconsciously mutter, "Isn't this girl from a brothel?"

Nightingale sat up, glanced at it, and whispered: "Young master, the vixen is here, should I avoid it first?"

Before Xu Buling could speak, the woman standing at the door glanced at the ruined temple and saw two people sitting inside. She was stunned at first, then felt a little embarrassed, holding an umbrella and trying to leave, but she looked at the heavy rain outside the eaves and seemed a little hesitant.

"Sister, there is no place to shelter from the rain around, we are not bad people."

The woman stood outside the dilapidated temple with a small package on her back and hesitated for a moment. She looked back and seemed to be telling whether Xu Buling was a good person or a bad person.

Xu Buling dressed as a scholar and brought a little maid, so he naturally didn't look like a bad guy who did evil.

The woman nodded slightly and bowed, then put away her umbrella, walked into the dilapidated temple, sat down at the corner of the other side, a little alert in front of a stranger, looking out the window from time to time, as if she was waiting for the rain to continue walking.

Although Xu Buling was a little confused, this place was originally near the official road, but it was sparsely populated because the official road was abandoned. It was not surprising that a pedestrian passed by occasionally. The only strange thing was how a woman with a beautiful country was rushing on her way alone.

The elderly, children, and beautiful women in the world must be wary of it, and the "A gentleman does not deceive the dark room, be careful of being alone." Even if the other party is just a woman with no power, Xu Buling will not be able to be evil from the side of his courage. He did not look at it now and continued to talk to the little nightingale.

The three of them sat in the dilapidated temple, and the sky gradually became dark, and the rain was drizzling but there was no intention of stopping.

The woman glanced at Xu Buling for a few times, picked up the umbrella again, looked at the heavy rain outside, and was a little worried.

Xu Buling thought about it and stood up:

"Nightingale, go."

Nightingale said nothing, got up and put away the blanket, and then ran away with Xu Buling.

The woman looked a little embarrassed, and she spoke for the first time:

"Young master, girl, there seems to be no inn around you. How can I let you make your husband have a seat after me? You can continue to rest."

The voice is light and gentle, and it is as beautiful as the spring breeze as Ning Yu, but it is different from the crowd. It has a sense of intimacy from the inside out, which makes people feel aroused when they hear it.

Xu Buling paused, and he didn't want to pull Nightingale out to get in the rain. Seeing that the other party didn't mind, he walked back to the Buddha statue and sat down, took out a candle from his bag and lit it, with a bright smile:
