Xi'an, known as Chang'an, Haojing and Xijing, was the economic and cultural center of ancient China for a long time. It was the city with the longest capital in ancient China. It is known as the "four ancient capitals of the world" together with Rome in Italy, Athens in Greece, and Cairo in Egypt.

When Duke Mu of Qin dominated the Xirong, he changed the Yuanzishui River to the Ba River and built a bridge on the river, so it was called "Ba", which is also the oldest stone pun bridge in my country. In the third year of the Dihuang of Wangmang, the Ba Bridge was flooded. Wangmang believed that it was not a good sign, so he changed the bridge to "Changzhou Bridge".

During the Tang Dynasty, an inn was set up on Ba Bridge. Whenever you see off your relatives and friends to the east, you usually have to send them to Ba Bridge before breaking up, and you willow branches on the bridgehead to give them to each other. Over time, "breaking willows on Ba Bridge to give them to each other" became a unique custom.

However, later geographers seemed unwilling to admit this fact, and inadvertently added a three-point water to the word Ba, which formed the Ba River. From then on, a culture of the character "Ba" was formed in the eastern part of Chang'an, such as "Bacheng", "Ba Shang", "Ba Ling", "Ba Tou", "Ba Bridge Broke Willows", "Ba Willow Wind and Snow", "Ba Bridge Hurts Farewell", etc., all of which have certain historical origins with the Ba River.

But now the problem is again. In the 1980s, the Ba Bridge was washed away by floods. The government completely demolished the original bridge and rebuilt the double-sided bridge with eight-car tracks. Now we see the Ba Bridge is a new type of reinforced concrete slab bridge with a strong modern atmosphere. No matter how you look at it, it cannot be the ancient Ba Bridge referred to as the hidden secrets a thousand years ago.

I frowned at the former site of Baqiao. Xue Nan asked me what I found. I said there was no hurry and take a closer look. After walking around the former site for a few times, my doubts increased instead of reducing. I pulled Xue Nan and Shen Lang to the side and told them that there was something wrong with this place.

"It's said it's an old site. Isn't it normal to be destroyed over the years? What's wrong with it?"

Shen Lang asked me curiously.

I told Shen Lang that during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, someone once said that evil dragons appeared in the Ba River, and that evil dragons would disturb the fate of the Tang Dynasty. When Emperor Taizong heard about this, he sent a strange man Yuan Tiangang to the Ba River to find out. Yuan Tiangang carefully observed and found that there was indeed an evil dragon, so he ordered people to rebuild the Ba Bridge and suppress it with the Green Dragon raised his head. China has believed in Feng Shui since ancient times. Any such important building must follow the Feng Shui geometry theory. Moreover, this was done by Emperor Taizong who sent Yuan Tiangang, so he dared not make any mistakes when he built it. The old site is in the eastern suburbs of Xi'an. Xi'an was originally a place of dragon development, and it belongs to wood in the east of the five elements. There are no too tall buildings or mountains nearby. This is a good Feng Shui Bureau for the Qinglong raised its head.
