Chapter 20: The Curse of Finding the Nib

After a burst of light blue light, Harry's messy quill flew lightly.

The ? symbol lights up on the quill barrel.

Finally, it stays at a height of about 6 inches in the palm of the hand.

The pen tip at the junction of the quill swung from side to side for a while, then pointed firmly behind Rigg.

That's the direction Harry and the others came from.

The tip of the pen is retrieved, and the literati live in cutting-edge magic.

It seems simple, but it is actually quite simple.

Ever since Rigg accidentally tidied the blue-robed wizard's table and was forced to perform a double act with the 200-year-old Dean.

Dean and Nigel began the long road of research and development.

From the fixed flying spell to the guidance spell in front of the designated target object, I tried every possible combination of spells.

But none met their intended goals:

This allows even little wizards in their first year of school to find the matching set of nibs for their lost replaceable quills.

0 difficulty to get started, you will know it after reading it.

Nigel quickly became haggard, and the bags under his eyes were drooping larger than his eyes.

Dean was even worse.

What was originally a lush golden afro, after just a few days of troublesome hair pulling and intense thinking, turned into a Mediterranean-like shape.

Even the hair growth spell can't save him, he will fall out as much as he grows.

Finally, Dean angrily used a little magic peeling charm to shave himself.

He completely became a strong man.

Finally, it was a distant relative, the master alchemist Nico Flamel, who showed them the way.

"Why do you expect a magic spell to solve all your problems?"

So said Nico Flamel, who was feeding pigeons next to the Beauxbatons fountain.

Alchemy is vast and profound.

Nico Flamel's attempt to make an alchemical creation was much more complicated than a magic spell.

From the selection of early materials, to the selection of magic spells, magic texts and even fusion methods.

He is more like a mechanical master in the minds of Muggles. He makes accessories with different functions and assembles and smelts them to create the final alchemical creation.

A few days before Rigg went to Hogwarts, Rigg watched this video letter from Nico Flamel with Nigel and Dean.

Nigel and Dean were disappointed.

They originally thought that Nico Flamel would directly help solve the problem and then just copy the homework.

I didn’t expect that I would have to realize it myself.

After Nigel and Dean read this short letter for the 16th time, they were so familiar that they could recall every expression and movement of Nicoléme.

But I still don’t have the inspiration to make it.

Dean angrily complained that Nicolas Flamel had been a master of alchemy for too long, and that the young wizard was not the adult wizard that Nicolas Flamel often sold alchemy items.

"A first-year wizard can't even learn a levitating spell!"

Thinking about the level of the people who studied at Hogwarts in the past few years, Dean and Nigel became even more desperate.

Rigg looked at Nicoléme's words in silence, and suddenly had an idea.

"What if our spell is just a remote control?"

Dean and Nigel looked at Rigg in confusion, and Rigg quickly waved his hand to explain.

"Remote control is a Muggle word, it doesn't matter."

Rigg pointed to the quill and pen tip, "Can we fix a matching magic on these two accessories, as long as the little wizard inputs the magic."

Considering the magic level of the little wizard, Rigg added: "It does not require gestures or the rhythm of reciting the magic spell. Just say it and you can activate the quill accessories in your hands to point at each other."

Dean touched his bald head and answered quickly: "The magic spell of the double-sided mirror can be used on the quill pen!"

Nigel looked down at his pen, then looked up at Rigg, with a troubled look on his face.

"It seems possible, but it will make our production more difficult."

Dean instead beamed.

He patted Nigel on the back and almost knocked him down.

"You don't care whether it's difficult or not, we don't do it."

Dean thought happily that it was lucky that the Dai family could have children, with more than 20 members.

If it were the Malfoy family, they wouldn't be able to do it even if they were exhausted.

Nigel immediately retorted: "As the production time increases, our inventory will decrease. How can we make money?"

Rigg poked the stupid old man.

"They are sold in different levels. Some are purely consumables, while others come with this searching magic."

Recalling the popular scene of Literary Residence, Lige shuddered, "Have we not already opened the market?"

Nigel and Dean nodded.

If the sales of replaceable quill pens weren't really booming, as clan leaders and elders, they wouldn't be thinking hard just to upgrade the product.

"Then we can put a small number of replaceable quills with retrievable magic on the shelves first, but the prices will be more expensive." Rigg rubbed his chin and thought, "When wizards have become accustomed to the convenience of replaceable quills, we can then

Slowly reduce the quantity of ordinary replaceable quills, and eventually the ordinary replaceable quills will be completely removed from the shelves, leaving only the slightly more expensive high-end version of the quill with a retrieval charm."

Dean and Nigel have grown their mouths and are already immersed in the booming sales of quill pens, which will be more profitable in the future.

Money scene can be expected!

This is why when Hagrid took Harry to Diagon Alley, the place was crowded with people.

That day was the first day of limited sale of high-end replaceable quill pens with nib retrieval charms.

Rigg has also been observing the sales situation on the stairs since he delivered the high-end quill pens in the morning.

I only heard Professor McGonagall mention it. Hagrid had never used interchangeable quills, so naturally he couldn't tell the difference between quills.

Hagrid rushed to the counter that day and shouted that he wanted to buy the best one.

That's a gift for Harry!

Moreover, there were so many people on the first day that the product introductions on the wall of Wenrenju were completely blocked.

A giant hybrid like Hagrid couldn't see the wall, and Harry, who was taken away by the crowd, couldn't even see it.

Perhaps only the wizard's robe, who was pressed against the wall that day and kept wiping it, knew what was written on the wall.

Harry watched intently as the quill fluttered in the air, pointing towards the castle.

I almost cried with joy and kept repeating the words of thanks to Rige.

Ron also opened his mouth in surprise, and Rigg became even more powerful in his heart!

This is my brother, Ron thought proudly.

Rigg saw that the pen tip retrieval spell had taken effect, and the connection between the quill and the pen tip was also established very stably.

What a relief.

Time is running out.

Rigg quickly grabbed Harry and Ron and ran, following the quill across the fields and back to the castle.

Ron, who didn't look at the road, almost knocked down the know-it-all Hermione who was about to come out. Hermione's face turned red with anger.

She yelled at Ron's back, don't ask her to be a group in future class activities.

Ron looked back nervously, but Rigg and the others were running too fast, and he really didn't want to fall behind.

In the end, only the words "Yes - no - get up -" could be heard from a distance in the air.

"Here!"

Harry was surprised to find his pen tip under the cauldron left by Neville in the Potions classroom.

There is also a flashing ? mark on the tip of the pen. It has been trying to float up, but unfortunately it was firmly pressed down by the crucible.

Harry excitedly paired the quill with the nib, and the mark immediately disappeared.

It was back to the way Harry saw it for the first time.

Ron also rushed to the potions classroom out of breath.

He still felt embarrassed halfway through the run, so he turned back and apologized to Hermione.

"Looking for it, have you found it?" Ron asked Rigg out of breath.

Rigg nodded and said: "There is good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first?"
