Chapter eight hundred and eighty(2/2)
The weapons in their hands seemed like they would never run out of bullets. This made Napoleon very envious, especially the general-purpose machine gun, which was much lighter than the Maxim, but its rate of fire and power were comparable to the Maxim.
I immediately fantasized in my mind that if I had an army equipped with such weapons, I should be able to continue to fight against the anti-French alliance.
There was no single airship. Napoleon took one last look at the battlefield and was carried away by the airship.
After rising above the clouds, Napoleon saw that there were actually three airships on standby above the clouds, as if waiting for some signal.
The airship carried Napoleon all the way to the west, and it was not clear from the clouds what was below. I don't know how long it took, but when the airship passed through the clouds again, there was actually an island below.
There is a flat cement landing site on the island, and the airship slowly landed.
"Your Majesty the Emperor! Please!" The commando who spoke French opened the hatch and walked down the gangway first.
"Where is this?" Napoleon looked around. There were Ming Dynasty-style buildings everywhere. It was impossible to reach the Ming Dynasty in such a short flight.
"This is the island of Malta. Your Excellency, the Commander, is waiting for you. Please follow me!" The commando, who could speak French, took Napoleon into a carriage.
Under the escort of more than a dozen cavalry, the carriage ran towards a building near the sea.
Napoleon suddenly realized that the Ming Empire occupied several key islands in the Mediterranean.
Among them are Crete and Malta. The geographical location of Malta is very good, directly guarding the throat of the Eastern and Western Mediterranean. Western European ships that want to go to the Suez Canal must pass through the waters of Malta.
