If you lose the direction of Confucianism, what is false? If you break it apart, is it just a person? If you are not an official, you should not be an official, or a businessman. If you do everything for yourself, you should not be an official. If you wear public uniforms, you will become a hypocrite. Do what a gentleman should do according to the truth. Take off public uniforms and be like the people. What is wrong with it? You should clearly distinguish between public and private, public is public, and private is private, and public morality and private affairs, and private morality and private affairs, and do not mix together. How do you think that a hypocrite governs national affairs for public and private? According to the truth, the truth is the most reasonable. Those who know how to do business should be polite and ask them for advice. Your principles are clear, and what people say is beneficial and harmful to the world, you will naturally understand. If you don't understand the principles, you will either be witches or ghosts. The government will become a fight between little ghosts, or wizards and ghosts, fighting with witches and ghosts, and witches and ghosts. When you encounter something you don't understand, you will become either a little ghost and a god or a witch asks about the destiny of heaven. When the people see it, they will be at a loss. Where can morality come from? Where can etiquette come from?"

"Everyone in the world is the same. No one can stipulate how others live or think. Rules, laws, and laws must be based on the principles. If the people recognize them, the people will naturally become rituals. If you want to set rituals for the world, what are the Three Bonds and Five Constant Permanences, let others live according to the rules you set, why? You are better than others! My reason is simple. Officials are hypocrites, and all the natures are retained. Only when the people have true natures can hypocrites know the hearts of the people, understand the principles, and govern the world. "If scholars want to become officials, they should know. What is the way of the world? The world is not a single person, but a world of people. This is our way. This way is known to everyone in the world. Officials should keep it in mind and follow the way at all times."

Zhang Zai and Liu Chang gradually understood Xu Ping's meaning. Tao is determined by the people of the world and cannot be changed. Tao and the truth are very simple. Everyone knows it, but you can see whether it is clear or not.
