Chapter 101 Don't be a scholar

Liu Chang was a school of suspicious scriptures. In history, he officially set off a tide of suspicion and confusing comments. In the end, the Confucian Confucians of the Song Dynasty went to the stage of summarizing the Six Classics and I was annotating the Six Classics. The value of classics lies in the principles in it. When the world changes, the principles will also change.

In his previous life, Xu Ping also followed his friends to joke about Song Confucianism, and even proved the classics freely, and he was embarrassed to call Confucianism with shamelessness. Now he understands that it is precisely because of this point that Confucianism has gained a new life in this era. He regards the sages as gods, holds up one great Confucianism after another, and constantly adds new classics, and Confucianism truly perishes. Gods and ghosts should not exist in this cultural system. Using destiny to remove all gods and ghosts, the morality of the Zhou Dynasty was formed, which is also the root of Confucianism. Inviting ghosts and gods back again is to go back. When the road to the end is a dead end.

Liu Chang was very happy. Some prime minister of the dynasty clearly stated that all classics are suspicious and changeable, which made him very happy. It takes courage to doubt scriptures in his studies, and it is inevitable that someone will sarcastically sarcastic. I would like to ask you, are you more wise than your sages? First, claim that you have a good pound of yourself. People are more conscious. Many people are silently silent.

There is no high or low in front of the truth, and there is no unquestionable heavenly rule. The existence of this heavenly rule means that there is a problem with the culture. Knowledge is correct because it conforms to the truth, not because someone said it.

Xu Ping said: "Zi Mozi was not satisfied with the falsehood of Confucianism, so he established a new study, and made a argument based on the heaven and ghosts. He could achieve a temporary manifestation of the study, but he could not be used by those in power and returned to silence. As for Xunqing, Mencius, and Confucianism, he formed two schools. Xunqing took human nature as evil, and his good ones were false as the foundation, and he formed his own family. The country's order is ritual, etiquette and righteousness were born to regulate laws and regulations. To uphold rituals, the country has a constant state, and he valued laws and loved the people, and he was overlord. His learning was Han Fei and Li Si inherited his descendants and practiced in Qin. Since Xunqing spoke about the goodness of people as falsehood, why should he take this hypocrisy and directly use the law to become a law, and a system is a unified system in the world, and a system is used to unify the world. He used the system and became a legalist."

Speaking of this, Xu Ping shook his head: "The Qin Dynasty died, and everyone in the world knew that it was destroyed by violence. Where did the violence come from? Since human nature only has hypocrisy, it is always brought to the people, and it is okay to obey orders and commands like sheep. Xun Qing's Confucian and heavenly affairs are no longer transformed by heavenly destiny, but they are gained. When the destiny of heaven has been transformed into the hearts of the people, the division between heaven and man is no longer a matter of practice. Because good is hypocrisy, we should take etiquette and law to change human nature and lose it. Good and evil are all in the hearts of the people. Those who like the people do good, and those who are evil of the people do evil. In the world, men like beauty, women do good. What should everyone like beauty? The chaos in the world arises from struggle, those who stop fighting do good, and those who are persuaded to fight do evil. Good and evil arise in the hearts of the people. Therefore, human nature has good and evil. All the truths belong to the hearts of the people, and this is the foundation."

All politics starts from struggle, and there is no politics without struggle. Everyone is self-sufficiency in the world, and human society does not need governance. It is believed that struggle is the source, which is the tradition of Chinese culture. Communism believes that productive forces develop, class differentiation, and thus class contradictions appear. Class contradictions are actually struggles. In class struggle, productive forces develop and eventually evolve into a communist society is the original view of Marxism, which is consistent with the three stages of Datong and well-off and Datong. Later socialism believes that classes can be eliminated first and then productive forces can be developed.

Then developing into communism is a kind of change. This change is similar to Xunzi's belief that human nature is evil, good is false, and there are similarities between them. That is, everything in human nature is social, not social, false. Since it is false, then socialist laws and systems in the new era can be used to regulate it. Not only should you regulate your behavior, but your thoughts must also be regulated, because the thoughts that are not in line with socialist are false human nature. This is another form of Legalism. Socialists love Legalism, and their governance has a strong Legalism style, which is not without reason.

Xunzi's thoughts solved a major problem, that is, the spiritual world of man is separated from the natural world, in other words, materialism. Mencius did not solve this problem, and his thoughts were still in the relationship between man and destiny. It was on this key issue that he divided into two schools, accepted Mencius' people-oriented, but at the same time accepted Xunzi's upright etiquette and respect for law and love the people. As long as the people love it, it is enough. How to do things and how to think, it is regulated by etiquette and law. The final Neo-Confucianism actually went to this path, preserving the principles of heaven and destroying human desires, then using etiquette and law to destroy the desires of the people. Therefore, there are so many political figures in the Northern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi took Sima Guang and other founders of Neo-Confucianism to be Taoist masters. He respected Mencius as he did, but he looked down on it.

What makes Wang Anshi different is that he did not follow Xunzi's thoughts, but instead furthered the separation of heaven and man in Mencius, and removed the destiny of heaven from the world. This formed the most fundamental line struggle between the new and old parties, whether politics is based on the hearts of the people or the hearts of the people are based on politics. Wang Anshi believed that politics should follow the hearts of the people, value moral education, and have no good or evil nature, and the feelings have good or evil, and the people will deal with good or evil by themselves. You cannot stipulate the behavior of the people, restrain the thoughts of the people, and promote political education. Sima Guang was the opposite, respected etiquette and law. After the etiquette, the most important thing is the Three Bonds and Five Constant Persons, which stipulate the thoughts and behaviors of the people. If people's behaviors and thoughts are standardized and restrained, the world will naturally be ruled, and later it will become a doctrine.

In Wang Anshi's eyes, opponents must stipulate human nature, not only the behavior of the people but also the idea of the people. It is tyranny, but in the end, they go to fight violence with violence. The changes that a thousand years later are actually the same, with the same characteristics.

"All thousands of principles belong to the hearts of the people. This is the rule of governance. Taking the people as the teacher, finding the truth, perfecting knowledge, and being a Confucian rule. First, reason, then morality, then education, and then etiquette, the laws and regulations change accordingly, and the order cannot be wrong. First, use etiquette to govern the people, then educate, and then become moral, and without seeking reason, it is not possible. Xun Qing's upright etiquette and rule the country, and respects the virtuous and can educate, and can only harm the people, but cannot be governed greatly. This is like giving the world first.

The people carve a mold, so that everyone can grow in this mold, and look the same, and the world will be greatly governed. There is no such truth in the world. This mold is called the destiny of heaven, but in fact, the rituals and laws are called laws and regulations. In fact, the art of repressing the people will be greatly harmed by the world. Those who govern cannot find the truth from the people's hearts, but seek etiquette and law, education, and are completely different from governing the world. What you are doing now is to take the people as your teacher and find the truth."

Reform is to adapt to the voice of the times and respond to the voice of the people. When it is in line with the hearts of the people, everything goes well and deviates from the hearts of the people, and it will be difficult step by step. Xunzi left a political framework for top-level governance. Later rulers like this very much. Under this framework, there is no need to listen to the voice of the people. The people are not satisfied with it because the law is not implemented properly and the etiquette education is not in place. As long as you use torture with heavy laws and strict three pillars and five constants, regulate behavior and restrain thinking, everything will be fine.

Xu Ping sighed: "Politics for politics, after all, it means how to look at human nature and how to educate. All laws and regulations and governance are born from this. Xunzi's learning is not without reason. During the Shang Dynasty, the king also listened to witches, and witches actually controlled the texts of the world. Over the years, witches had so-called smart people who realized that they used their own ideas to replace the sound of heaven, and the king and the people also listened to everything. Once this period opens, the witches will eventually be abandoned by all people. And this period will surely arise, and witches will be defeated.

Those who make the world obey the orders of oneself should obey the will of heaven. If they do not obey the will of heaven, they will use the ghost in their hearts to replace the will of heaven. Later generations often regarded themselves as witches, read books of sages and witches, and read other books to become other witches. Those who truly think that they have obtained the will of saints, but want to fulfill the aspirations of saints and become crazy in the world. But more of them are hiding a little ghost in their hearts and using this little ghost to replace the sages. If the people do not listen, they will take out the little ghost and scare the world."

Speaking of this, Xu Ping shook his head repeatedly: "Taiwei Zhang of Xiongzhou was in the Shufu that day. Xiantai was attacked by his strange life, and he still refused to stop driving out of the capital. Su Shen is my marriage family, and I also want to say that he and Kong Daofu sang and sang together and used these ghost tricks to expel ministers. He regarded the censor of the Censorate as a little ghost who scared officials. He became the King of Hell himself, and turned the Censorate into a Hall of Hell! Now Jia Changchao is the Censor, who follows the example, is unreasonable, and is full of ghost spirits!"

Zhang Zai and Liu Chang held back their laughter and did not dare to say anything. They followed Xu Ping in the northwest for a long time and had never heard Xu Ping complain. Today, Xu Ping finally couldn't help it.

Xu Ping was politically principled and did not interfere with the personnel and affairs of the Censorate. He would still complain. No censor came to touch Xu Ping's bad luck. These days, they mainly targeted Chen Zhizhong and Cheng Lin. Chen Zhizhong was not strict in governing the family, and Cheng Lin was greedy for small wealth, and they all had some small handles. Zhao Zhen handed over the impeachment memorial to Xu Ping several times, but Xu Ping suppressed it on the grounds that the Censor did not look at the privacy of the officials. The Censorate was a system to investigate officials, not a lingering wife who was both parents and other families, and did their duty well. These censors had this problem. They thought they were like the witches in Shang Dynasty, and they used their destiny to investigate the emperor and all officials, and everyone should listen to them. In fact, everyone had a little devil in their hearts and was unreasonable, so where did they get the destiny?

Xu Ping was so annoyed, and Zhao Zhen was also annoyed. There was no reason to impeach officials. Xu Ping could ignore them. If Zhao Zhen ignored them, they would keep pestering them. When they arrived at Daming Mansion, Zhao Zhen was quite happy. Here, Xu Ping had the final say and had no worries. Xu Ping basically ignored Zhao Zhen’s private affairs and let them go.

Zhao Zhen once asked Xu Ping why he didn't stare at him like other officials, whether he was afraid that Zhao Zhen would replace him. Xu Ping told Zhao Zhen that officials strictly demanded that the emperor did not distinguish between public and private affairs in the country, which was determined in the system. It was precisely because the public and private affairs were not distinguished between public and private affairs, and the emperor had an intersection with the people. The emperor had both an official side and a civil side. Part of the emperor's position in the regime was to represent the people and supervise officials. The other part was to govern the world with the officials. In this way, the requirements for the emperor could only be between officials and the people, which was more reasonable than the officials. Zhao Zhen agreed deeply and was even more annoyed to the censors who advised him on trivial matters every day. However, everyone in the regime had to play their own role. Even if Zhao Zhen was annoyed, he should listen honestly.
