093 Wing Chun Gym

The name of Mr. Ye Huai’s junior brother is Feng Cheng, and the location of the Wing Chun Martial Arts Hall is located in Chicago’s Chinatown.

Chicago Chinatown was first opened by overseas Chinese surnamed Mei in Siyi. It was located on Clark Street near the downtown area, also known as the First Chinatown. Later, it expanded to the current Yonghuo Street, namely the Second Chinatown.

At the entrance of Second Chinatown, there is a typical Chinese archway, which is also a landmark building that appears in many entrances to Chinatown in the United States. The front of the archway is engraved with "The World is the Public" written by Sun Yat-sen, and the back is engraved with "propriety, righteousness, integrity and shame". These two sentences are almost standard in Chinatown. From a distance, Huang Yifei saw many tourists standing under this archway to take photos.

Meng Fanlong looked at the archway in front of him and familiar yellow faces, and couldn't help but sigh: "If I hadn't known that I was in the United States, I would have thought this place was in China."

Hearing this, Huang Yifei just smiled and then took Meng Fanlong into the Second Chinatown. The signs and road signs here are compared in Chinese and English. Even if the English is not very good, you can find the place you want to find here. However, this is only useful for Meng Fanlong, and Huang Yifei's English level is still OK.

The entire street is filled with several small buildings, and there is no building like a tall building. Moreover, the shops next to the street have big signs. When Huang Yifei entered the street, he saw many black and white people, but they also took different photos with their mobile phones or cameras. It seems that they are also curious tourists.

The Wing Chun Martial Arts Hall is not difficult to find, because in front of a two-story building, a large Wing Chun plaque is erected. The first floor is a pharmacy that runs traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, but Huang Yifei only saw some white people looking at it with interest, but there were no patients who actually saw the doctor. It seems that traditional Chinese medicine has declined like traditional martial arts.

Walking up the second floor, Huang Yifei and Meng Fanlong heard the shouts from practicing martial arts on the stairs. Standing at the door, Huang Yifei saw about a dozen students wearing traditional white clothes, black pants and black cloth shoes, practicing Wing Chun with two-character pincers and sheep and horses. These students were basically Chinese, with only one white and one black.

Seeing Huang Yifei and Meng Fanlong standing by the door, a young man in his twenties came over and asked them, "Hello, are you here to sign up for martial arts?"

"No, I'm here to find Uncle Feng Cheng." Huang Yifei replied casually.

"Master Uncle Feng Cheng?" The young man repeated a little while in confusion. In his impression, he had never heard of the owner and his senior brother. How did this person call the owner the master the uncle?

With this doubt, the young man replied: "The owner of the museum is in the inner room. I will take you there, please come here."

In this way, Huang Yifei and Meng Fanlong followed the young student, walked through the lobby of the Wing Chun Martial Arts Hall, and came to a room behind. The house was filled with traditional Eight Immortals tables and chairs, and there was an old man who looked only in his fifties in his fifties holding a cup of tea.

Seeing Huang Yifei and the others coming, the old man's eyes were a little surprised, but he quickly recovered as usual, waiting for Huang Yifei and the others to come.

"Owner, these two people said they were here to find you, so I brought them here."

"I understand, you go out first." Feng Cheng nodded and replied.

Seeing the young man go out, Huang Yifei first clasped his fists and called Feng Cheng respectfully: "Uncle Master."

Mr. Feng Cheng is different from Ye Huai. He still has black hair at this moment. Although he looks only in his fifties, Huang Yifei knew that his century was nearly seventy years old, but he just looked very young.

"You are Yifei, right?" Feng Cheng asked with a faint smile on his face at this time. Before Huang Yifei came here, Ye Huai had already called and told him to take over a reserve disciple who was going to come to the United States to play boxing competitions, and ask Feng Cheng to take good care of some of his nephews.

"Yes, my uncle, I am Huang Yifei. This is a member of my boxing team and his name is Meng Fanlong."

"Hello, Mr. Feng." Meng Fanlong also greeted him respectfully at this time.

"Okay, okay, they are all young talents. Don't stand, sit down." After saying that, Feng Cheng pointed to the empty seat next to him and signaled Huang Yifei and Meng Fanlong to sit down.

After taking the seat, Mr. Feng Cheng began to say, "Yifei, I have already learned about your coming with my senior brother. Moreover, I have seen the performance of the national boxing team in the past two days in the ring, which has greatly boosted the face of our Chinese! You may not know in China. In fact, Chinese people abroad are all vulnerable groups and have congenital shortcomings in terms of force. Many blacks and Latinos specifically pick up Chinese people to rob and attack."

"I just hope that you boxers can win the title of the ghost guys and prove the force of our Chinese. In the future, we Chinese will have much confidence abroad. Because we Chinese have also won the world championships and stand at the peak of world fighting. Our military and physical fitness are not worse than other races."

Huang Yifei did not expect Mr. Feng to tell him this. In fact, if Mr. Feng didn't say it, Huang Yifei also understood that the political status of Chinese people in the United States was basically at the bottom. Even the "Anti-Chinese Act" a hundred years ago was delayed until 12 years before receiving a formal apology from the United States. Moreover, the original English word is still "regret" (regret), rather than "apology" (apology).

"Uncle Master, I will eventually become a professional boxing champion!" Huang Yifei replied with affirmation.

"Mr. Feng, I will become a boxing champion and let those ghosts understand!" Meng Fanlong also replied. His experiences these days made him feel deeply unhappy. He really wanted to prove his strength in front of foreigners.

After hearing the two of them say this, Mr. Feng felt that he was a little too excited. These major responsibilities should not be taken over by the two children. So he did not continue to speak in these aspects, but instead said some common words and improved their understanding of each other.

During the conversation, Huang Yifei also learned that his uncle had been in the United States for forty years and was from the same year as Bruce Lee. This Wing Chun martial arts hall was opened when he came to Chicago. At the same time, he also understood medical principles and opened a Chinese medicine hall together.
