Chapter 503 Xiaoling Mausoleum

Zhu Hongsan took his army into the upper gate of the outer capital. The last time Zhu Hongsan came to Nanjing was a ship from the Jinchuan Gate to the north, so this was the first time he entered Nanjing by land.

Entering the upper gate is the Nanjing Grand Craft Field. This was originally a training place for the garrisons of the capital, but since Zhu Di moved the capital, the military preparations here in Nanjing were decomposed, and the large Craft Field became a wasteland. Some of them were turned into vegetable fields by the Nanjing garrisons, and various vegetables were planted.

Zhu Hongsan's army was nearly 200,000, and he couldn't let it go in Nanjing. Zhu Hongsan ordered Qian Yong to lead all the troops to station in the university grounds. Zhu Hongsan himself led 18,000 troops to Zhengyangmen with the Imperial Guard Division.

Zhengyang Gate is the main gate of Nanjing City. Because the Ming Dynasty built by Zhu Yuanzhang belongs to "fire" in the "Five Elements" and is mainly in the south, it is called "Zhengyang", which is the so-called "national gate" of the capital city. Therefore, "the Xiaoling Grand Prize sacrifices, the Chinese studies and the grain chiefs of the Ministry of Revenue are all entered from Zhengyang Main Gate." Zhengyang Gate Wengcheng has the main gate and the inner gate of the inner gate, and the inner gate of the inner gate is set in a straight line with the gate of the capital city. "The main gate is the imperial road, and only when the emperor's ceremony or foreign envoys visit can they enter and exit. Ministers and officials mostly enter and exit from the east gate."

In Zhengyang Gate is the Hongwu Gate of Nanjing Imperial City, and further into the palace is the imperial palace. At Zhengyang Gate, hundreds of surrendered officials in Nanjing, led by Wang Duo, the Grand Secretary of the former dynasty, and Zhu Guobi, knelt in front of Zhengyang Gate to welcome the arrival of the new Emperor Zhu Hongsan of the Ming Dynasty.

However, Zhu Hongsan's horse did not stop at Zhengyang Gate at all. Zhu Hongsan led a 18,000-strong imperial guard division through the city gate and rushed to Chaoyang Gate, the east gate of the capital.

Zhu Hongsan's occupation of Nanjing was only a secondary goal. He also said to Zhu Hongsan that the most important thing was to pay a visit to Xiaoling immediately, which was the most important task to ensure Zhu Hongsan's orthodoxy. But this did not mean that Nanjing City could be left alone. Zhu Hongsan had just left Wang Xian and a large number of Jinyiwei stationed in the former Nanjing Jinyiwei Nanfu Office and began to screen all officials of all Nanjing City.

Zhu Hongsan took the civil and military ministers, rode a horse, followed by tens of thousands of imperial guards, and followed the officers and soldiers of the imperial guards, and headed towards Chaoyangmen along Zhengyangmen Street.

Chaoyang Gate was the earliest city gate in Nanjing to welcome the sun. Because "Ming" belongs to fire and Chaoyang Gate is closest to Ming Xiaoling, Chaoyang Gate has always been the royal channel for the royal sacrifice to Zhu Yuanzhang. Today, Zhu Hongsan entered from Zhengyang Gate, which means that he has become the Emperor of Ming Dynasty and leaving Chaoyang Gate, which means that he is the direct descendant of the Zhu family, who is responsible for the important sacrificial task. This step cannot be missed, and all have its political purpose.

Five miles from the gate of Chaoyangmen is the shrine of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. The first thing that enters the sight of people is Xiamafang. Xiamafang is a stone archway with two pillars, with a width of five meters and a height of eight meters. The six regular script characters "Officials of the Ministry of Justice dismount" are engraved on the forehead, indicating that officials entering the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum must dismount and walk to show their respect for the founding emperor Zhu Yuanzhang. At this point, Emperor Zhu Hongsan is no exception. Everyone dismounted and started walking.

Further inward is the Shenlie Mountain Monument, located forty meters east of Xiamafang. It was erected in the tenth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty. The three words "Shenlie Mountain" are engraved on the front in the double hooks. The Shenlie Mountain Monument was erected when Zhongshan was changed to Shenlie Mountain in the tenth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty. There is a lying monument to the east, which is a "ban appointment stele". It was erected in the 14th year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty. The inscription engraved nine prohibitions on prohibiting damage to Xiaoling and visiting the tombs. Zhu Hongsan did not look at these things. This kind of thing is restricting others and is of no use to Zhu Hongsan, who is already the emperor.

Near the northwest of Xiamafang, two miles northwest, is the first gate of Xiaoling Mausoleum, Dajinmen. The Dajinmen was originally a yellow glazed tiled double-eaved building. There are brick and stone walls. The lower part is a stone-made Sumeru mount. Originally, there was a Xiaoling Guard in this place, and the imperial court allocated silver to repair it every year. However, in the late Chongzhen period, the imperial court was in chaos and the imperial court did not have enough money to manage Zhu Yuanzhang, so there was much damage to the Dajinmen.

After passing Da Kinmen is a Sifang City. The building is square in plane, so it is commonly known as "Sifang City". It is the "Sifang City" erected by Zhu Di, the Ming Dynasty Chengzu Zhu Di for his father Zhu Yuanzhang. The roof of the building has been destroyed. The original stele pavilion is built with bricks and stones, and the plane is square. The Sifang City travels about a hundred meters northwest and crosses the Yu River to enter the Shidao. The biggest feature of the Ming Xiaoling Road is the perfect combination of architecture and terrain. It is different from the imperial tombs of all dynasties, which is built into a tornado completely based on the terrain and mountain.

A winding layout. In addition, stone statues are placed at the nodes of each section to control the space, forming a solemn atmosphere. The stone statues are paved with complete Six Dynasties bricks. The shrine extends from east to northwest, and there are six stone beasts, lions, shamans, camels, elephants, qilins, and horses, and two pairs of each type, a total of twelve pairs and twenty-four pieces. Each type kneels and stands and meets the service together. This section of shrine is commonly known as the stone statue road, with a total length of more than 600 meters. At the end of the stone beast, the shrine turns to the north and reaches Lingxing Gate.

Zhu Hongsan had already walked almost five miles from Xiamafang to here, and only two-thirds of it had left. Zhu Hongsan cursed in his heart, "My mother, Zhu Yuanzhang, why are you doing this far? Let me go so far. It is estimated that the emperors who later generations were the only ones who cursed in their hearts when paying homage to the founding emperor. I wonder if it was Zhu Yuanzhang who was ignorant in the spring, or they had to lower the divine thunder and struck this unworthy descendant to death."

Passing through Lingxing Gate is the Yuhe Bridge, heading north through the Yuhe Bridge and going up the gentle slope, it is the main building of the mausoleum. The main buildings of Xiaoling Mausoleum include the Wenwu Square Gate (i.e. the main gate), the stele hall, the Enjoy Hall, the Great Stone Bridge, the Square City, the Ming Tower, the Baoding, etc. Zhu Hongsan's end today is the Enjoy Hall, where the throne of Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma are enshrined.

Zhu Hongsan was sweating profusely when he left, but now was not the time to cry. Zhu Hongsan walked into the hall and knelt down and began to cry loudly.

"Emperor Taizu Gao, Empress Xiaoci Gao, Empress Jingci Zhang, and Zhu Hongsan, the unfilial descendant of later generations, is here to pay homage to Zhu Hongsan!" Emperor Taizu Gao was naturally Zhu Yuanzhang, and Empress Xiaoci Gao was a big-footed person. These two must be mentioned, but Empress Jingci Zhang was later added by Zhu Hongsan. This Empress Jingci Zhang was the title of Hu, a wife of Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhao Jing, Concubine Hu. The title of Hu did not have the title of Empress in 270 years. However, Hu gave birth to a good son, Zhu Zhen, the first King of Chu. Zhu Zhen gave birth to another son Zhu Mengju, and then passed it to Zhu Hongsan's father. He was considered a promising person. When Zhu Hongsan became the emperor, he naturally had to reward his ancestors. Therefore, Hu, who had been a concubine for more than 200 years, turned into Empress Jingci Zhang, and the Concubine who gave birth to Zhu Di was naturally invited to the altar.

After Zhu Hongsan cried, he took out the tribute written by Qian Qianyi. When he opened it, he was stunned. He told Qian Qianyi to write in vernacular. Lao Qian did not make things difficult for him. He was just as white as he could not be white anymore. However, Zhu Hongsan forgot a little. Lao Qian didn't know how to simplified Chinese characters, but he wrote his mother's traditional characters, and his mother's no punctuation marks. This is also called how Zhu Hongsan pronounced it!

Tong Yangjia and others behind him looked at Zhu Hongsan holding the sacrificial text and were trembling all over. They didn't know what happened. Tong Yangjia asked in a low voice: "Mr. Qian, is your sacrificial text written in vernacular?"

If you are scheming and beat up, Qian Qianyi may not be as good as Tong Yangjia, but such pure academic matters Tong Yangjia still doubts Qian Qianyi really annoyed: "Don't worry, Mr. Tong, although Qian is not talented, he is also from a Tanhua family, and he can still take advantage of a sacrificial article!"

When Tong Yangjia saw that Qian Qianyi was unhappy, he was not inconvenient to say in depth: "But why did Your Majesty tremble all over? He still didn't read the sacrificial text?"

Jiang Yueguang next to him was also a talented man. He saw the emperor trembling and said with relief: "The emperor should have thought of the hardships of Emperor Taizu's business, and was moved to tears!" Jiang Yueguang said nothing at all. The civil servants around him also praised Emperor Shenwu as a pure filial person. They forgot that the emperor did not recognize his words and was angry when they trembled.

Zhu Hongsan knelt here and looked at the sacrificial text. He also knew some of these traditional Chinese characters, but Qian Qianyi used rare characters to show his literary skills, so he could not read them even if he beat Zhu Hongsan to death.

Zhu Hongsan thought about this, there were hundreds of people around him. In addition to his confidants, there were also scholars from Zhili, Zhejiang, and representatives of scholars from Nanjing. If he couldn't come to Taiwan, he would be a shame. He would not recognize the tribute and he would compile it himself!

Zhu Hongsan cleared his throat and started making up. Fortunately, Zhu Hongsan liked to watch "those things in the Ming Dynasty" after working in his previous life. He could not remember other events, but he could still remember several emperors of the Ming Dynasty. So start scolding Zhu Di!

"Emperor Taizu Gao, you don't know. The successor you chose, Emperor Jianwen, was chased away by your precious son Zhu Di four years after your death. He ended up not knowing his life or death. Your son Zhu Di was the emperor. Zhu Di was okay, he was a good emperor, but his descendants were not good. Your grandson Zhu Gaochi became the emperor. After ten months of his life, he died indefinitely. Then Zhu Zhanji became the emperor. When Zhu Zhanji came to power, he pointed the butcher knife at his uncle, and finally roasted his uncle to death with a big vat. There is another person.

Emperor Zhu Qizhen, who was arrested by the Mongols in Tumu Fort, do you think there is still a good emperor in Zhu Di's branch? There is also Zhu Jianshen, the son of Zhu Qizhen, who does not go to court every day to favor eunuchs, and Zhu Jianshen's grandson Zhu Houzhao, is a fool! There is also Emperor Jiajing Zhu Houzeng, who actually made the ministers scold him as "Jiajing, Jiajing, every family is clean." As a royal relative, I feel embarrassed! There is also Emperor Wanli Zhu Yijun, who has not been to court for more than 20 years, and the Shangshu in the court died and no one took over! Emperor Taizu, look at your descendants!"
