852 [Real Golden Mountain]

What is popular nowadays is to use the money of Taiwanese investors to make movies. Even large companies like Jiahe, which is like this. At least one-third of the movies produced every year are participated by Taiwanese capital. As for Jiahe’s own money, uh, sorry, they use their own money to build overseas cinemas and invest in real estate.

Among the large-scale Hong Kong film companies, only Oriental DreamWorks does not accept investment from other parties, and only occasionally shoots movies in mainland China and the United States.

Many people in the company do not understand Kang Jianfei's move, thinking that it is a disadvantage. Even many senior executives of DreamWorks complain that Kang Jianfei does not know how to borrow chickens to lay eggs.

But Kang Jianfei only has his own reason. If he relies on Taiwanese capital to make movies for a long time, he will be dependent on Taiwan's assets and will be subject to others sooner or later. Once Taiwanese capital withdraws, he will be killed; the second is to rely on investment to make movies, then the large amount of free funds will inevitably be used for other purposes. For example, if you do real estate like Jiahe, Kang Jianfei does not want to be too distracted by the non-entertainment industry.

Now that the Hong Kong real estate market is hot, the stock market is hot, and basically anyone with normal minds can make money from it, but Kang Jianfei has not touched those things. In the past, he needed capital accumulation, and he also speculated on the Hong Kong dollar exchange rate and bought land at the bottom to buy buildings. But now after he got on the right track, he no longer touched those things and developed his entertainment empire with peace of mind.

Even when the Soviet Union collapsed, Kang Jianfei didn't join in the fun.

Not only that, when most Hong Kong film producers were making money in a crazily, Kang Jianfei strictly controlled DreamWorks' production plan. In order to prevent shoddy production and ensure the quality of the film, he divided the movies produced by DreamWorks into five levels, namely, the production costs are below 10 million, 10 million to 20 million, 20 million to 30 million, 30 million to 50 million, and more than 50 million.

Oriental DreamWorks mainly shoots medium-sized films with a cost of between 10 million and 20 million, that is, one or two popular movie stars are the protagonists. Three or five second-tier actors are the supporting roles, so the cost of the films produced in this way can basically be controlled below HK$20 million.

The production volume of films of the other four levels is strictly limited every year. The up and down flow must be controlled within one film. At the same time, the film production process is also institutionalized as much as possible. Only major directors like Xu Ke and Wang Jing are exceptions. Ordinary directors must follow the steps from planning, screenwriter to booting.

Originally, Kang Jianfei wanted to learn from Hollywood and standardize all aspects, but Xu Ke was too casual in filming and often filming and revising scripts. The so-called standardization was completely useless to him.

There are many directors who have the same problems as Xu Ke, but Xu may guarantee the box office, but others are not capable of doing things honestly. They can only follow the rules.

It can be said that if DreamWorks also relies on following the trend and shoddy money like other companies, with the celebrity resources mastered by Oriental Entertainment Brokerage, DreamWorks' money-making speed can be increased by at least 5 times.

But Kang Jianfei didn't do that, but instead made steady progress. It was like someone else was a bandit, and he was working hard to manage the base. Once Taiwanese capital withdraws from the Hong Kong film industry one day, and Taiwan and Nanyang markets impose various restrictions on Hong Kong films, then two-thirds of Hong Kong production companies will die miserably, but Oriental DreamWorks will not be affected too much.

...

The first round of negotiations between Taiwanese film merchants and the Hong Kong Film Practitioners Association ended in failure. The three requirements proposed by the Taiwan side to "regulate celebrity pay, urging Hong Kong films to deliver goods on schedule and issue commissions" were all rejected by the Hong Kong side without mercy.

The two sides parted in disagreement, and the originally harmonious cooperative relationship dropped to freezing point.

But on the second day after the negotiations broke down, Ye Zhiming from Oriental Entertainment Distribution Company found Yang Dengkui and Wu Dun, among the eight major film dealers, and initially reached the intention of raising commissions to issue them.

Of course, the specific details need to be discussed further. Ye Zhiming still has objections to the commission rate proposed by Yang Dengkui. For example, films made by major directors such as Kang Jianfei can only watch movies when they are released in Taiwan. Instead of just taking commissions according to proportions.

Not only did DreamWorks do this, Jiahe also found Longxiang Pictures and privately reached an agreement to issue commissions.

The two major companies also betrayed their Hong Kong counterparts and negotiated with their respective cooperative film manufacturers alone. This practice is a traitor to other producers, but they have no choice but to do anything about it.

Moreover, the small actions of the two companies are insignificant to the overall situation. As long as the production cost of Hong Kong films cannot be reduced, Taiwanese film merchants will sooner or later turn over the table.

Kang Jianfei didn't want to care about his life or death. He once tried to make science fiction blockbusters, adventure films, and drama films to guide other companies to expand the types of Hong Kong films. But the final result was that Mao Yong did not. The producers and directors who only wanted to make a vote before Hong Kong's return would not think about such a long-term situation at all.

Kang Jianfei is only waiting for the next two or three years, and Hong Kong film companies are almost gone, and then stand up and clean up the mess. At that time, everyone has to listen to what he said.

Kang Jianfei was not the only one who was thinking about it. Jiahe’s young boss Zou Chongyan went to the mainland. After contacting the officials of the Ministry of Culture in the Mainland, the negotiations went smoothly, but Kang Jianfei still needed to go there in person.

Although Zou Chongyan is the daughter of Boss Zou, after all, she has not officially taken over Jiahe and cannot represent Jiahe to negotiate terms with the mainland. Moreover, the most famous Hong Kong filmmaker in the mainland is Kang Jianfei, and the mainland Ministry of Culture basically only recognizes Kang Jianfei.

So, when Jiang Zhiqiang was negotiating with eight major filmmakers in Taiwan, Kang Jianfei didn't care about the sixth sense of filming and quietly headed north to the capital.

"Minister Wang, Director Zhou, this is the information of our association." Zou Chongyan once again took out the relevant documents of the "Hong Kong Film Association".

Minister Wang was chatting with Kang Jianfei. Director Zhou looked at the information and frowned and said, "There seems to be a little small in your association."

Kang Jianfei suddenly smiled and interrupted, "Although the number of members is small, every member supports the party and supports the reunification of the motherland."

Minister Wang nodded and said, "Mr. Kang said it well, and firmness is the most important thing."

Director Zhou originally wanted to hold a meeting to continue the discussion, but Minister Wang expressed his attitude so clearly that he quickly smiled: "What the minister said is that only by taking the right route can the correct result be obtained."

Sometimes it is so simple to do business in China, and the leader can handle it in just one word.

As a result, the newly released "Hong Kong Film Association" has naturally been recognized by the central government and has become the only copyright certification agency for Hong Kong film works designated by the National Copyright Office.

But the film and production companies in Hong Kong still don’t know that they have a great emperor. Of course, even if they know, few of them will take it seriously. After all, they have not returned yet. The institutions recognized by the National Copyright Administration are not as valuable as those recognized by the Taiwan Freedom Association.

But once Hong Kong returns to the embrace of the motherland, the Hong Kong Film Association established by Kang Jianfei and Zou Chongyan is an absolute authoritative organization for Hong Kong films.

The Hong Kong group of people were fighting for the little profit in front of them, and Kang Jianfei was too lazy to participate. Just let Jiang Zhiqiang fool them. The new Film Association, recognized by the mainland government, is a real gold medal.

In the evening, he had a drink with the relevant leaders. After the banquet ended, Zou Chongyan said with emotion: "Mr. Kang, you have a great face. I have been in the mainland for almost a week and I can't handle it. You can solve it in a few words."

"Without Miss Zou's running around, my words were just empty words." Kang Jianfei didn't take her compliments seriously. The mainland gave him face, which he earned himself. How could he have no reward for being banned by Taiwan for several years?

Zou Chongyan said: "Although it has not returned yet, the association's certification and issuance system must be established early. After 1997, everything will be natural."

Kang Jianfei nodded and said, "I will send someone to assist Miss Zou and improve the various systems of the association."

Kang Jianfei is naturally not just sending people to help. The Hong Kong Film Association is such an important and official designated institution. He has to send a few confidants to take the power of the association firmly in his own hands.

The two chatted all the way and soon left the hotel.

Zou Chongyan asked, “Where does Mr. Kang live?”

"I live in the Prince of Guo County, it's not going to be the way. See you some other day!" After Kang Jianfei said that, he attracted a taxi. He hadn't been strolling with several lovers in the capital for a long time, but he was not in the mood to talk nonsense with Zou Chongyan.

When they arrived at the Prince Guo County Mansion, Lizhi and Fu Yiwei had already washed themselves and went to bed with a delicious look. When Kang Jianfei walked into the bedroom, he saw an extremely erotic scene. Two beautiful women were hugging the bed and kissing each other passionately. They were dressed in messy clothes and spring was leaking. They stroked each other's sexy parts with their hands. It was obviously not the first time they looked emotional.

The sound of Kang Jian flying in alarmed them. Fu Yiwei pushed Li Zhi away, pressing her hard, with a drunken blush on her delicate face. She said charmingly: "Sister Zhi, stop, our husband is back." (To be continued, please search for Astronomy, the novel is better and faster!
