Act 152 Give me a reason enough!

There are two types of mayors in the United States.

A part-time mayor who is part-time and does not have to sit on duty.

The other is the full-time mayor.

At the same time, compared with the mayor who is elected or taken turns to serve as a city mascot, the mayor who is directly elected by citizens has the power to appoint the heads of government functional departments and reject proposals that are passed in a short time.

It just so happens that the mayor of New Haven is a full-time mayor and a powerful mayor.

When Doug left New Haven in a carriage, the fire near Tom's cabin was still not extinguished.

In the face of forest fires, humans are extremely weak.

Doug touched his cold cane and stopped looking at the fire. He said to the coachman, "Go to the city."

The New Haven Municipal Government, located in the center of New Haven, is the place where New Haven Street starts.

It is very similar to the church and the bank. The towering and majestic buildings make most people feel awe when they just see it.

The carriage painted with the dog head sign of the Clayden Printing and Dyeing Factory was parked in front of the city gate.

The coachman got out of the car and opened the door. Doug walked out of the steaming heat brought by the small stove in the carriage.

Doug got out of the car, climbed up the steps, walked into the city government, and as soon as he entered the door, he collided with a woman.

"Sorry! Sorry!"

The woman who collided with Doug apologized while picking up the documents scattered on the ground.

"I should say sorry, I accidentally bumped into you." Doug bent down gentlemanly and helped the lady pick up the documents.

The documents were almost picked up, and she suddenly raised her head, "Sir, thank you."

When she was talking, Doug saw her wearing round-frame glasses with lenses as thick as the bottom of a beer bottle, and there were freckles hanging on the bridge of her nose.

"No need to thank you." Doug responded, and then asked, "Where is the mayor's office?"

"Are you looking for the mayor? You..." The freckled girl said hesitantly. Just now, when Doug had a lot of freckled girl, the freckled girl was also a lot of him.

"What's wrong with me?" Doug asked.

"without……"

"Am I too young?"

"No...No..."

"Well, lady, please tell me where is the mayor's office?"

“On the third floor.”

"Thanks."

When Doug went upstairs, he saw countless staff members running up and down on the stairs holding documents.

It seems that the city government in New Haven is still very busy.

Although, from Doug's perspective, even when Clayden Printing and Dyeing Factory paid taxes, he had never seen government employees.

Doug walked to the third floor, and there were still many staff members walking quickly through the corridor.

The endpoints they came out or went in were all the rooms close to the corridor.

Doug walked all the way, looking at the door sign and looking for the mayor's office.

When he walked from the stairs at this end of the corridor to the other end of the corridor, he had not found the mayor's office yet, and only one room was left. This room was the end of the staff's shuttle, that is, the mayor's office.

Doug turned sideways and made his way like an ant, and seemed to have no idea that his staff had squeezed into the mayor's office through the wide door.

In the pile of documents, there was a man who looked in his forties and in his prime. He was the current mayor of New Haven, Siconi De Niro.

"Hello Mayor De Niro, I am a student of Principal Woolsey, the owner of Clayden Printing and Dyeing Factory, Doug Clayden. My teacher asked me to send you something. Are you free?" Doug said loudly because he was afraid that Mayor De Niro, who was addicted to work, wouldn't hear it.

"Why are you talking so loudly?" The moment Mayor De Niro put down the documents in his hand, the endless staff team quickly frozen as if they were pressed to the pause button, and evacuated the mayor's office nervously and seriously in an orderly manner. The last evacuated staff member opened the door for the mayor's office.

"Seeing you are immersed in work, afraid you won't hear it." Doug explained with a smile.

"You are Doug Clayden? Are you German? 'Doug' is a rare name. It's rare like there are Germans in this city full of Italians."

"Are you Italian?"

"Of course!" Mayor De Niro said, buckled the table with his fingers, "Young man, what did your teacher, Principal Woolsey, have you brought you? Leave that thing to me and you can leave."

Doug placed the printed version of "Low Tide and Prosperity - Discussion and Countermeasures of Economic Cycle" on the table.

Then, he took out a hardcover version of "Monopoly" from his suitcase.

Mayor De Niro picked up a thick stack of manuscripts and glanced at him and asked, "Is this thesis you wrote?"

“I wrote it.”

"I heard you are very good at writing articles?"

"The teacher said I wrote well, but I think I still have a lot to learn and improve." Doug said slightly tactfully.

While speaking, he was also thinking about the Mayor De Niro in front of him, what opinions he had on him and what he had provoked him.

After thinking about it carefully, I cleared all the things I did, but I couldn't find out where I offended him.

Doug thought about how to deal with it next, the mayor who had an important impact on his acquisition of Blackhawk Bank.

The mayor de Niro did not speak anymore.

He reads the papers much faster than Principal Wolsey.

However, unlike Principal Woolsey who read it once, Mayor De Niro always likes to see half of it and read the previous manuscript.

Finally, I finished reading the paper.

Mayor De Niro, who had read the paper, asked, "Do you think war is inevitable?"

"Yes." Doug nodded.

"So...this is your reason for buying Winchester Weapons?"

"Yes."

"Young man, even though you are a student of Principal Woolsey, I still have to say something to you as an elder. Young man, don't be too arrogant, don't always fantasize about being the center of the world."

"But, are you still young people?" Doug vaguely touched the reason why Mayor De Niro was unhappy. He said angrily, "The acquisition of Black Hawk Bank is my core next. Principal Woolsey asked me to come to you. I don't hope you can help me in the process of acquiring Black Shadow Bank, but please don't set any obstacles for me..."

"Black Hawk Bank? There are no Black Hawk Bank in New Haven, only New Haven Eagle Bank." De Niro interrupted Doug's words, his tone filled with dissatisfaction, correcting the mistakes in Doug's narrative.

"What I want to acquire is New Haven Eagle Bank."

Mayor De Niro stared at Doug with a bright eyes, "Young man, do you know? The president of Eagle Bank has the tradition of being the mayor of New Haven.

The current president William, I intend to ask me to take over as the president of Eagle Bank.

If you want to acquire Eagle Bank, give me a sufficient reason!

Otherwise, I won't let you acquire it!
