Two thousand six hundred and twenty-five chapters Philippine Navy

In 1975, the US military was extremely reluctantly driven out of Vietnam. The South Vietnamese Navy they supported, as well as some destroyers and several speedboats that had participated in the Battle of China and Vietnam, fled to Philippine. The Philippine Navy expanded unexpectedly. Later, due to the serious corruption of the Philippine Navy, the insufficient funds caused by the serious financial situation, which caused the ships to be scrapped soon after they were not maintained. The Philippine Navy's strength soon declined.

Since 1991, the Philippine Navy has had an ambitious decade-long plan: it will gradually eliminate 17 old-style ships from World War II, and ensure that it has 60 more modern warships and auxiliary ships, 12o speedboats, 3 F27 maritime patrol aircraft, 10 "islander" maritime search and rescue aircraft and 1 bo1o5 helicopter. 2ooo years ago, the Philippine government will allocate $1.5 billion to modernize naval equipment, including purchasing 36 ships and 10 patrol aircraft from the United States, Australia, Spain, Japan and other countries.

At present, the Philippines has ordered two logistics ships from the United States and also incorporated the two patrol gunboats donated by South Korea into active service. On July 1, 1997, the United Kingdom moved three Peacock-class patrol boats originally in Hong Kong to the Philippines.

The Philippine Navy originally planned to have more advanced equipment such as frigates, landing ships, large missile boats by 2ooo years. Then, it purchased 3 modern frigates and 2 larger patrol boats from the United States. By 2o1o years ago, there will be 94 new ships purchased, and it is also planned to introduce submarines to basically achieve modernization of naval equipment.

However, in recent years, the upper power struggles of Philippine countries and extremely serious corruption have not been achieved. However, the Philippine side has never given up its military modernization attempt. They believe that as long as they try their best to win a few years and exaggerate the Chinese threat theory, the United States and Taiwan will provide Philippine various naval weapons free of charge. The Philippine side can use a small amount of funds to achieve missileization of the Philippine Air Force, which is 50 years behind, and make its combat effectiveness reach the contemporary level, making its opponents unable to cope with it. From this point of view, it can be seen that Philippine is a country that likes to get cheap for nothing.

Currently, the largest and most powerful warship owned by the Philippine Navy is the Raja Humabon-class (US Cannon-class) frigate. This ship is an old class ship launched during World War II. It has a full load displacement of 175o tons and is equipped with 3 76mm guns. The ship started construction at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard on January 14, 1943. It was launched on May 27 of the same year and entered service on August 29. It is named "Atherton.

On June 14, 1955, the United States gave the "Atherton" to Japan, and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force named it the "Churi" frigate. In June 1975, Japan implemented a naval compilation plan and returned the already very backward ship to the US Navy.

On December 23, 1978, the US Navy sold the ship to the Philippines at a very low price, but the ship could not run anymore. So the next year, the Philippines towed the ship to South Korea for overhaul and modernization. It was not until February 27, 198o that the ship was re-entered in Philippine.

The Philippines named it the "Raja Humabang" Deportation Escort Ship (PF11). The ship's standard displacement is 139o tons, its length is 93.3 meters, its width is 11.2 meters, its draft is 4.3 meters, its power is 4 26278 diesel engines, 448o horsepower, dual-axis, and its maximum flight is 18 knots. This flight is not as good as many modern civilian ships. The 22-type 76mm open naval gun has a wide range of vision. At the same time, the shooter's body is exposed and cannot obtain basic armor protection.

There are also three very old 4o mm dual-mounted high-level dual-purpose naval guns on the ship; 6 2o mm high-level dual-purpose naval guns; and 4 12.7 mm machine guns. The 2o mm guns and 12.7 mm machine guns are not enough to participate in modern naval warfare and can only be used to bully fishing boats. One m1o anti-submarine rocket launcher and eight mk6 deep-water bomb launcher. These two anti-submarine weapons have long been outdated. Without the cooperation of modern ships and their anti-submarine weapons, they cannot even deal with old submarines of the class.

The ship originally had a sister ship, "Datu Carrantio", which sank when Typhoon Clara on September 2, 1981. It seems that this class of ships has long been old. Another larger ship owned by the Philippine Navy is the "Rizar" Puffin-class minesweeper. This ship is also an old ship built during World War II. It started construction on August 24, 1944, was launched on December 29 of the same year, and entered service on August 21, 1945. The US military named it "Merrelet" (msf372), and moved to the Philippines on June 18, 1965. This class of ships is similar to the Kanto class that the Taiwan Navy has scrapped, and is also one of the larger warships of the Philippine Navy.

The Philippine country called the "Rizar" of minesweeping frigate (PS74). The ship's standard displacement is 109o tons, full load displacement is 125o tons, length is 67.4 meters, width is 9.8 meters, draft is 3.3 meters, power is 2 26278 diesel engines, 179o horsepower, dual-axis, maximum flight 18 knots, endurance is 57oo 16 knots, number of personnel is 80 (including 5 officers), main weapon

It is equipped with 2 MK26 type 76mm naval guns, 2 4Omm dual-mounted high-level dual-use naval guns, 1 2Omm dual-mounted high-level dual-use naval guns, 2 2Omm single-tube high-level dual-use naval guns, 4 12.7mm machine guns, 1 MK32 type 3-mounted 324mm torpedo tubes, MK44 anti-submarine torpedoes, 1 MK1O anti-submarine rocket launcher, and 2 MK9 deep-water bomb launchers.

The ship also has a sister ship "Quezon" (PS7o), which was originally the US ship "Virgilans" (MSF324). Construction started on November 28, 1942, launched on April 5, 943, entered service on February 28, 1944, and moved to the Philippines on August 19, 1967. 7 Marsal-class (US-made PCE827) ships were completed and put into service in 1943, 1945. The Philippines uses it as an escort gunboat.

The Chinese Navy is not unfamiliar with this type of ship. After World War II, the Taiwanese authorities received 15 ships of the same class. In the Battle of Chongwu East on November 13, 1965, the "Yongchang" that was sunk by the torpedo boat troops of the East China Sea Fleet in China, was sunk by the South China Sea Fleet of China in 1974. The ship was 56.3 meters long, 10.1 meters wide, 3 meters draft, 650 tons of water, and a full load displacement of 945 tons. The maximum speed was 15 knots. The weapons were 1 76 mm, as well as 40 mm and 20 mm artillery. The combat capacities were 85 people, including 8 officers.

The above-mentioned old ships in World War II basically lost their combat capabilities and could only rely on the docks for people to visit most of the time. On June 22, 2oo2, the "Raja Humabang" deportation escort ship also visited China. Due to the aging of machinery, it took more than a month to travel from Philippine to China. If they were forced to go to sea to fight, they would inevitably have many failures under high-load working conditions. I am afraid that the sailors on the ship would have to return by drawing their own life rafts.

The Peacock-class is now one of the "main ships" of the Philippine Navy. It entered service in 1984. The ship is nearly 30 years old. Although it is much newer than other Philippine ships, it is not "younger". It was once a patrol ship of the British army in Hong Kong. Around 1997, the British sent it to the Philippines. It has a displacement of 763 tons, equipped with a newer 76mm Otto gun, a maximum range of 16 kilometers, and four 7.62mm machine guns.

In addition, the Philippine Navy also has 13 patrol boats and 25 fast patrol boats. The Kaltingan class 3 ships are 85 meters long, 10 meters wide, 3 meters draft, and 12oo tons of water. The maximum flight is 24 knots. The weapons include 1 76mm gun, 4 3omm guns, and 2 12.7mm machine guns. They can carry 1 bo1o5 helicopter.

The other patrol boats have tonnages between 27,956 tons, equipped with 4o mm, 2o mm artillery or 12.77.62 mm machine guns. There are 34 knots, 25 knots, and 16 knots. Among them, the fastest amphibious ships include 2 American "beeson" class landing ships, 7 "Nanzamboyan" class (US-made lst511 in World War II) landing ships and 39 various types of personnel and vehicles landing ships.

In addition, there is a Marine Corps in Philippine, which consists of 3 brigades, a total of 11o1 artillery and 15o20 mm mortars.

The Philippine Marine Corps has intervened in domestic political struggles such as military coups many times, and often returns in vain in combat against domestic guerrillas. In addition, the Coast Guard is equipped with 65 patrol boats, equipped with 2o mm artillery or 12.77.62 mm machine guns. Four of them are 124 tons, and the rest are 30 tons. These old ships that are pieced together are all the assets of the Philippine Navy.

Now there are still 23 flowers left before the update chapter.
