Chapter 2955 Wei Changgeng(1/2)

Chapter 2751 Wei Changgeng

On the way back to Junken City, the two of them talked about their feelings all the way.

Yang Geyong sighed: "Yuze, why am I so tired these days, but I am very satisfied?"

Ye Yuze smiled: "This may be the reason for doing good deeds, right? It feels more accomplished than drinking and picking up girls."

Yang Geyong nodded: "It seems that this is true. Why don't we go back first and go to the 17th Division to see it?"

Ye Yuze thought for a moment and nodded. In fact, he was also very curious about this brother unit, which is known as the First Division in southern northern Xinjiang.

This teacher has a brilliant history, and his own group of teachers is incomparable to others. After all, they were newly built in more than six years.

The 17th Division was founded during the Agrarian Revolution. Its predecessor was the Red Sixth Army. It was successively known as the First Independent Division of the Southeast Hunan and the Red Eighth Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, it was renamed the 359th Brigade of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army. Later, it went through the southward detachment, the Hunan People's Anti-Japanese and National Salvation Army, and the 359th Brigade of the Second Column of the Central Plains Military Region.

During the Liberation War, the 359th Brigade was under the Second Column of the Northwest Field Army. In January 1949, it was renamed the Fifth Infantry Division of the Second Army of the First Corps of the First Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In November 1949, the Fifth Infantry Division entered the defense zones of 17 prefectures and counties in Aksu, XJ, Hotan.

After the founding of New China: It was reorganized into the 17th Agricultural Construction Division of the XJ Military Region in June 1953, and was under the XJ Production and Construction Corps in October 1954.

On January 16, 2013, it was renamed the 17th Division of the XJ Production and Construction Corps.

Their station is the middle section of the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, the northern part of the Tarim Basin, starting from the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains in the north, entering the northern part of the Taklamakan Desert in the south, facing SY County in the east, and reaching KP County in the west.

The climate conditions are the same as those of the Sixteenth Division. They are of the warm temperate extreme continental arid desert climate, with sparse rainfall, less snow in winter, and a large amount of surface evaporation.

Such places are naturally short of water, but I wonder how they are called the First Division of the Corps?

The most conspicuous thing I drove along the way was the large cotton fields. Anyone who knew it understood it, and the long-length cotton in northern Xinjiang is world-famous.

But at this moment, under the scorching sun, the already-formed cotton tree was in a state of sluggishness and even the leaves were rolled up.

The degree of mechanization here is very high, and even the picking of cotton has been mechanized.

But even if you are well-developed, what can you do if you are?

Seeing the soldiers sitting by the cotton field with sighs, Ye Yuze's mood was no longer beautiful in an instant. The corps were too big and the northern border was too big. He really didn't have that great ability.

Until the evening, when the two of them felt hungry, they found that the car had already driven to a very deserted place.

This place is close to the northern end of Taklamakan. Although the 17th Division has reclaimed a large amount of land, there are still countless Gobi Deserts that cannot be used, and there is a lack of water!

Now the area of cotton fields in the 17th Division alone is 200 mu, but this only occupies part of the territory of the 17th Division, which shows that the land utilization rate is not high.

After driving for another period, I found a company. The company of the Corps is quite different from the local village and can be recognized at a glance.

An old man drove the flock of sheep from a distance, and the flock here naturally could not compare with the north, where the grasslands there were much lush.

Looking at them, the old man stopped and said hello. He heard that they were looking for a place to eat, and waved his hand generously:

"It's all my own people, what restaurant is there to find? Come to eat at home!"

The two of them were not polite, both of them were comrades-in-arms, so it was nothing to have a meal?

The old man's family was four, the old couple plus his son and daughter-in-law. Yang Geyong took a few bottles of big sorghum from the car, and the old man was so happy that he couldn't even close his mouth.

"Haha, are you from Military Reclamation City? I have only heard of this wine, but I have never tasted it, so I have benefited from it."

The meal is not complicated, with mutton stewed potatoes, steamed buns, and a pot of cornmeal porridge.

After dinner, I learned about their family situation. The old man was named Wang Desheng, who was an old instructor in the company.

Their family has 160 acres of cotton fields, because most of them are mechanized, and people don’t have much to do.

So, he raised another group of sheep, not more than thirty, so he went out to let go when he had nothing to do, just as he added part of his family's income.

After dinner, Ye Yuze asked about the problem of land irrigation here, and Wang Desheng sighed:

“If water sources are sufficient, cotton production can increase by one third.”

It turned out that this company was one of the most remote companies under the 17th Division, and their land was severely salinized.

The only canal is also very serious because of soil. It is not enough to switch to concrete. The only water you have in the water every year will be lost halfway.

Ye Yuze proposed to go and take a look, but Wang Desheng did not hesitate and took them to the canal.

The cold moon shines on the Gobi Desert, even though it is summer, it is still cold at night.

Ye Yuze squatted beside the seeping soil canal, twisting the quickly disappearing water marks with his fingertips. Wang Desheng came over with a horse lantern, and the saline and alkali dust flying in the light shadow was like fine snow.

"This is the 'loyalty channel' built in the 1960s. It can last for three days if watered thoroughly.

"The old instructor kicked the cracked canal gang, "later, the gerbil made a hole and became a sieve."

Yang Geyong suddenly grabbed a handful of red willow branches and inserted them into the leakage point. The turbid water flow immediately formed a natural filter between the roots.

"My dad taught us that when we used reeds to tie the bottom of the canal, maybe we could try the ecological anti-seepage layer?"

Wang Desheng thought for a while, then his eyes lit up: "It seems that you can really try it, anyway, that thing is not worth it."

Ye Yuze communicated with the leaders of the 17th Division. When he heard that Ye Yuze and Yang Geyong were coming, the division leader attached great importance to it and immediately ordered the regiment headquarters of the first company to tell them to obey Ye Yuze's arrangements.

At noon three days later, twenty tractors drove the red willow pile into the drying yard.

The people in the company, regardless of gender, age, sat around the poplar tree, and woven the branches into two meters wide straw curtains with clever fingers.

A company of soldiers scattered moldy alfalfa feed on the canal base, and Kazakh pastors drove the flock back and forth.

"Is this going to make three layers of wood ash leak-proof?"

Wang Desheng grabbed a handful of clay mixed with sheep manure. Ye Yuze smiled and pulled open the design drawing:

"Three-layer structure, the bottom splendenia grass mat absorbs moisture, the middle red willow branches are directed, and the surface is made of cement diamond-bred soil."

The sound of accordion suddenly sounded in the cold wind. The car group transformed the five scrapped Dongfanghong tractor heads into crushers, and the Uyghur driver Reheman's head was poked out from the cab:

"Mr. Ye, do you want to try our 'musical road-rotation method'?"

Ye Yuze and Yang Geyong nodded with a smile. It’s so good to be young.

The construction site under the moonlight turned into a boiling galaxy. The young Kazakhs used the rhythm of the holland to direct the road roller unit, and the Kirgiz girls sang "Manas" according to the progress of the straw curtain laying.

The fifty-kilometer canal took a week to reinforce.

When the first stream of water flowed through the test section, Wang Desheng suddenly jumped into the canal and let the cold water over the rubber boots:

"The seepage volume is 40% lower than that of concrete canals!"

“It’s not enough.”

Ye Yuze took out his phone number: "Lao Wang, buy the drip irrigation production line in Qingdao factory. Yes, assemble it in the drying yard."

Half a month later, twelve donkey carts walked into the cotton field with drip irrigation reels.

Contractor Aiguli was surprised to find that the newly installed drip arrow will automatically boost at noon:

"This solar controller."

"It was modified by Xiao Zhang, an electrician in the Eighth Company."

Yang Geyong pointed to the young man who was debugging equipment in the distance: "He used a model aircraft remote control to make an intelligent irrigation system."

Watching the drip irrigation equipment spread throughout the cotton field, Wang Desheng burst into tears:

"Now you can retire with peace of mind."

Ye Yuze handed over the key to the gate to Wang Desheng's son and patted him on the shoulder

"It will depend on you young people in the future. The world is changing so much, and science and technology are changing with each passing day. Your father's generation will not be able to learn it."

Wang Desheng's son smiled "hehe" and held the key in his hand tightly. It was probably his father would not be able to pass it.

Before he finished speaking, the teacher came with a group of people suddenly, watching all this excitedly...

It was not until someone reminded him that he ran over quickly, and he held Ye Yuze's hand and shook it hard:

"Mr. Ye, thank you so much. I have never thanked you once when I got here. I will treat you to a meal no matter what I say today."

Ye Yuze nodded: "Okay, I'll go to the soldier's house to eat. I've eaten here these days."

The teacher's smile froze. He never came. It was not that he couldn't afford a meal, but that he had some small thoughts. He was afraid that others would criticize him.

After all, officials and businessmen are too sensitive. Sometimes, if you do things sincerely, you will be criticized and want to gain benefits.

Although he has not made any great achievements in his life, his reputation is still very good. He cherishes this reputation, although Ye Yuze is here to help them.

But since he was helping, he felt it didn't matter whether he came or not. After all, he didn't need any benefit. He was helping the corps, not someone.

The division commander is Wei Changgeng. He is 48 years old and has a strong and powerful life. He had hope of being transferred to the headquarters to serve as an important position, but now the headquarters has been fully supported by the Military Reclamation City.

For three consecutive terms, the people from the Military Reclamation City were promoted, while those from other divisions could only be deputy positions.

Just like him, Wei Changgeng, although he is only 48 years old, how old is the top leader now?

Aijiang is 35 years old and Liu Junken is 32 years old. How could he survive?

The only possibility is that when someone goes to the capital, the headquarters can give him a term of office so that he can show his strength.

It should be said, the 17th Division is really good, but this is only in the southern part of the northern border, and there are several more divisions in the north than the 17th Division.

But the superiors are sympathetic to their difficulties. After all, the natural conditions are much worse than those in the northern part, so Wei Changgeng has been commended a lot.
