[043], Land and Water Law Conference
"Ding~~~Congratulations, you have successfully conquered the Dragon King of Jinghe and increased your proficiency by 5%. "A familiar voice sounded from your mind again: "Because the Dragon King of Jinghe has lost his original body and only has his soul state, he cannot become a pet. You can choose to absorb his dragon soul for your own use, or release it to regain freedom."
Regain freedom? How is it possible! He was originally transformed by the Dragon King's resentment soul, so letting him regain freedom may harm the world. Alas, for the sake of peace on earth and world peace, it seems that I can only absorb it! Tang Sen said in his heart: "Absorb!"
"Ding~~~Congratulations, you have successfully absorbed fifty percent of the Dragon King's soul, and the absorbed Dragon King's soul is transformed into 'Dragon Soul Power'."
"Ding~~~Congratulations, you have obtained the skill "Dragon Power (Pseudo)". Dragon Power (Pseudo): a force of ten thousand pounds, a body of gold and stone. After use, the whole body defense will increase. All iron is not broken, and the swords and guns cannot be penetrated. You can break gold and stones with empty hands. It is very powerful. However, this move consumes extremely physical strength and should not be used frequently. It cannot be upgraded."
Hearing the continuous "Ding Ding Ding", Tang Sen's thoughts were ups and downs. When he absorbed the Dragon King's soul, he unexpectedly obtained a skill, which made him very excited. However, the skill he obtained was actually a "pseudo-skill" and a skill that could not be upgraded, which immediately made his excitement fall.
However, looking at the skill description of "Dragon Power (Fake)", Tang Sen was quite satisfied. Although he could not upgrade, at least when he was exercising his skills, ordinary swords, guns and sticks could not hurt him, which ensured that he could not take those bandits and robbers that might appear seriously. And this "Dragon Power (Fake)" was comparable to the effect of the Buddhist Golden Bell Cover. I think the Golden Bell Cover had to be learned for several years and decades before he achieved something, but he accidentally obtained a skill comparable to the Golden Bell Cover. It was also good. You have to learn to be satisfied!
However, Tang Sen could not help but guess what effect would it have if it was the real "dragon power"? It might be that it was to open the mountain and split the ground. And the "dragon power" had become an extra word "fake". The reason may be that he failed to fully absorb the soul of the Dragon King of Jinghe. Of course, there is another possibility, that is, the level of the Dragon King of Jinghe is too low, just a river of dragons, not the holy dragon in the sea.
Tang Sen, who was surprised to get the unexpected joy, was very calm on the surface. At this time, the Dragon King's resentful souls had been eliminated, and the lonely ghosts had also been destroyed. They fled, and there was no trace of ghost energy around the palace. So Tang Sen lay down from the ground without any embarrassment at all. Instead, he said to Emperor Tang in the tone of a monk: "Emperor, after my efforts, there is no ghost energy around the palace. The emperor can rest assured. However, there is no resentment around the palace, which does not mean that there is no resentment in Chang'an, the Tang Dynasty has no resentment. Therefore, I suggest that Your Majesty hold a water and land Dharma Assembly to save the lonely ghosts, so that our Tang Dynasty can truly achieve a state of long-term stability."
"Okay, then the water and land Dharma assembly will be organized by the Great Master, together with the Ministry of Rites and Works, and it will be great for the Great Master." His Majesty Emperor Tang agreed without thinking. Then he returned to the bedroom and could finally sleep beautifully - he had almost neurasthenia these days.
After receiving the imperial edict, Tang Sen discussed the construction of the Water and Land Dharma Assembly with the Ministry of Works, and issued a notice with the Ministry of Rites to spread the quotation to the world, attracting monks from all over the country to come to Huasheng Temple in Chang'an to gather for the Dharma Assembly. The abbot of this Water and Land Dharma Assembly is of course the great master of Tang Sen, the country.
On the other side, the envoy of the eminent monks from all over the country was rushing to Chang'an, and Tang Sen was also discussing the matter of the Water and Land Dharma Assembly with the emperor with the Ministry of Rites. Although Tang Sen has now had the honorary title of "the great master of the country", the Ministry of Rites felt it necessary to arrange a formal monk official for Tang Sen to lead the monks across the country.
Emperor Tang approved the advice of the Ministry of Rites and specially appointed Tang Sen as the "Left Monk Gang, Right Monk Gang, and Monk Gang of the World". He led the monks in the country in terms of power. At the same time, he gave Tang Sen a colorful golden robes and a Vairo hat to him, so that he could wear them when preaching the scriptures and treatises on the altar of the Water and Land Dharma Assembly. As the saying goes, people rely on clothes and Buddhas rely on gold. Wearing such a treasure robes can also increase Tang Sen's style as a monk to a certain extent!
After calculation, the third day of September this year is the auspicious day of the zodiac sign, and it is advisable to hold a meeting. Therefore, the water and land conference will be chosen to start on the third day of September, and will be held forty-nine days. In order to show your importance and respect for the Dharma Assembly, Emperor Tang himself, the royal relatives, civil and military ministers, all of them will attend and go to the meeting to pick up incense and listen to the lecture.
………………………………
On the third day of the 13th year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty, the great master of the country, Master Xuanzang and Dachang gathered more than 1,200 monks to open an altar to preach at Huasheng Temple in Chang'an, and the water and land Dharma Assembly officially began.
After the morning court, Emperor Tang ended, he took a dragon car to lead all civil and military officials to Huasheng Temple to burn incense. In addition to all civil and military officials, there were more guards of honor and guards. The guards of honor were waving flags, and the guards were bright in axes and halberds. The team was vast and spectacular.
Tang Sen didn't have time to appreciate the rare Tang Dynasty ceremonial guard at this time, but was busy with the steps of the Dharma Assembly to memorize the Dharma Assembly. Emperor Tang and the civil and military officials had already finished worshiping Buddha, and Tang Sen led all the monks to pay homage to Emperor Tang, of course, they all gave Buddhist rituals. After the ceremony, the monks returned to their abdication, and then Tang Sen presented the Dharma Assembly's rituals to Emperor Tang. This rituals actually illustrate the purpose, wishes and meaning of the Dharma Assembly, which is just an expression of intention, not really reaching such a state, so these rituals are actually spoken as good as possible. Tang Sen was naturally too lazy to work on these rituals, so he asked the abbot of Huasheng Temple to write. The abbot of Huasheng Temple is profound in Buddhism, so the rituals are naturally well written. This matter is left to him, and Tang Sen was very relieved.
The Bang said: "The greatest virtue is vague, Zen Buddhism is silent, pure and intelligent, circulating the three realms, changing thousands of changes, governing the yin and yang. The body and use are truly constant, infinite. Looking at the lonely soul, we should be deeply mourned. This is the sage order of Taizong: to select monks, practice Zen teachings, open convenient doors, spread compassionate boats, help all the sufferings, get rid of the six realms of depression, lead back to the true path, play with the Hongmeng; move and stop doing nothing, mix into vegetarianism. Rely on this good cause, invite the Qingdu Jiangque; take advantage of my victory, get out of the cage of hell, get out of the ordinary cage of hell, ascend to the Pure Land early to bliss and be free, go to the West to be free. The poem says: A furnace of eternal life incense, several volumes of transcendent talismans, endless wonderful Dharma, endless heavenly grace. All injustice are eliminated, and all lonely souls are released from prison. I wish to protect my country's family and be peaceful for thousands of years." [Quoted from "Journey to the West" to the Ji Gubang text.]
The list was well written, and Emperor Tang was very happy to see it. He immediately said to the monks: "You are the one who has established the spirit and should not neglect Buddhist affairs. When the success is complete, each of them will have good fortune. I will reward you very much and never work hard." The 1,200 monks all bowed their heads and thanked them.
After the three vegetarian food that day, Emperor Tang got up and returned to the palace. After the seven-day meeting, he would come to Huasheng Temple to burn incense and worship Buddha and listen to the lecture. However, Tang Sen had to constantly preach to the monks on the altar and debate with some eminent monks from time to time. Thinking about the seven days of such a day, Tang Sen felt a little painful. However, Tang Sen understood that these seven days were the most critical seven days. As long as these seven days passed, the seven-day meeting was the time for Guanyin to enlighten him.
