8. The Gatekeeper

Time passed quickly, and 12 o'clock passed in a blink of an eye.

Qin Ruofen sent away the last patient in front of him and asked to the door: "Xiao Qi, are there any patients?"

Qi Jing sat on a small stool, leaning his back against the wall, flipping through the old medicine manual, looked back and forth in the corridor for a few glances, and replied, "It's gone."

Qin Ruofen raised his head and stretched: "Huh, I didn't expect to be able to rest for a while."

On the other hand, Xue Ping scanned the medical record book left by her side and couldn't help but sigh: "Although the number came very chaotic, it was unexpectedly successful today. The patient is quite satisfied with his appetite and has not encountered any complicated diseases."

"Yes, it's really rare."

"I'll go to have a meal, are you here to watch?"

"Okay, bring me some rice."

"What do you want?"

"Whatever, I'll just sniff for a while. I slept at three o'clock last night when I changed the paper and was so sleepy." Qin Ruofen lay on the table, facing Qi Jing outside the door with his face sideways, "Xiao Qi, you go to have dinner too."

"It's okay, Ji Qing will help me bring my meal."

"Then call me if the patient comes."

"Okay."

Before, Qi Jing was "ordered" to read the drug manual, and he felt a little unwilling, but after a morning, he found that this was not useless work.

In the past 15 years, a large number of drugs have been eliminated, and generations of new drugs have been replacing old drugs. The hospital's drug manual has also been reviewing several versions. Now I have taken the time to read the old books twice, and just replaced all the new drugs I remembered in my head.

In addition, the most important thing is that Qi Jing found a working method that suits him at the door.

Just now, the 24 blue waiting chairs in front of the door were still full of people, but now they are empty. It has to be said that this is closely related to the hard work of the two doctors.

But Qi Jing also played an important role in it.

He was outside the door listening to the two doctors analyzing the conditions and causes of various patients. From consultation, examination and the formulation of final treatment plans, Qi Jing divided the areas they were good at.

Qin Ruofen is more eccentric, breathing and digesting, while Xue Ping is more insightful in endocrine, immunity, nerves and kidneys.

Before working in the emergency department, the two were divided into different departments, with different research fields and topics involved, so their preferences were different.

Since internal medicine emergency department is a major department, after coming here to work, all their patients have to be taken care of, and over time, they have hidden all these preferences.

In order to speed up efficiency, Qi Jing did not have much consultation. He just took a look at the patient's eyes, took a pulse at most, and measured his blood pressure and simply divided them. Then he achieved his goal by staggering the number of the consultation.

Although the patient cares about being postponed by one to two people, he prefers to be treated by a doctor who meets his or her own situation.

So there is no complaint when you come and go.

The order of treatment in the morning was a bit messy, but under Qi Jing's control, it was quite stable, and the efficiency was greatly improved. The patient was satisfied and he was happy to diagnose himself, but the two doctors were still kept in the dark.

The rest time of the emergency was very short. Just as Qin Ruofen was lying on the table to rest, a new patient came to the corridor.

He was in his thirties, covered his stomach, his face was not very good, and he was a little staggering when walking. When he saw Qi Jing sitting at the door, he quickly took out the medical book from his shoulder bag, then took out the registration form from the mezzanine, and handed it over: "I am No. 341, are there any patients in front of me?"

As soon as he opened his mouth, a faint smell of hot pot came from, and coupled with the still smell of alcohol on his body, Qi Jing immediately made a judgment: "How many times have you pulled it?"

"How do you know I have diarrhea?"

"Guess." Qi Jing asked again, "So, how many times have you pulled it?"

"It started at 2 a.m., three times... Uh, I included four times just now. I was all water, and I always felt that I couldn't pull it clean."

"Go to the hospital and supermarket at the door and buy a bottle of orange juice first." Qi Jing pointed to the boiled water room not far away and said, "Then take a paper cup, pour some boiled water and drink it slowly. Of course, if you are not at ease, you can sit here and rest for a while. When you feel it is almost done, you can get the number off."

"that's all?"

"Well, if you don't believe it, you can go in and look for it..."

Qi Jing wanted to turn around and point to Qin Ruofen in the office. Who knew that as soon as she spoke, she was already standing at the door: "Is the feces yellow?"

"Yes."

"Is there blood?"

"No."

“Are you vomiting?”

"No."

Seeing that his answer was so straightforward, Qin Ruofen nodded: "It's just ordinary acute diarrhea, pay attention to diet. He is right, go quickly."

Seeing that both doctors said this, the patient stopped hesitating, put the medical book in his shoulder bag, and turned around and left.

"Teacher Qin, I'm sorry." Qi Jing also wanted to explain, "I saw you sleeping just now, so..."

"You've diagnosed it right, but I have a few problems."

"Um?"

Qin Ruofen asked in confusion: "How do you know he has diarrhea? How do you know he has eaten something bad?"

“Speculation.”

Qi Jing pointed to the nurse's desk at the end of the corridor and said, "The direction he came was not the registration window, but the corner on the other side. In that direction, there was only a toilet that collected excrement samples."

"It's because of this?"

"Of course there is other evidence." Qi Jing shook the pre-inspection number paper in his hand and continued, "The mark sheet given by the pre-inspection station is dipped in water, so is his hands the same. He must have just washed his hands."

"He was stuffed into his bag, which should be to prevent things from falling into the toilet sewer. Moreover, an adult in his thirties walked a little strangely. This position was not an external trauma, but it must have just been pulled, and it was so severe after being anxious."

Qin Ruofen poked his head and looked at the patient's back again. His posture was indeed a bit awkward.

"And he had a hot pot smell in his mouth, and the smell of alcohol on his body, it was very likely that he had eaten something bad last night."

Qin Ruofen cast a complimentary look, but she didn't expect that the child could think of so many things just by looking at him.

These colleagues, in addition to comparing their own medical skills and professional titles, are nothing more than their other half and the next generation.

Qi Sen became the chief director of neurosurgery five years ago. He is still the dean and is a professor and lecturer at the medical school. He has a very high status. Xiao Yu is from the army and participated in humanitarian rescue abroad when she was young. Now he has become the top leader in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also among the top three in Danyang Hospital.

The couple almost reached the pinnacle of clinical medicine, but their son was not very successful.

His grades in primary and secondary schools have always been in the middle class. He entered the medical school with a slight slight, but after entering the school, he became obsessed with the game. Everyone belongs to the system of Danyang Medical University, and they all have the titles of professors or lecturers in universities, so his grades are obvious to all, which simply throws away all the faces of Lao Qi and Xiao Yu.

This time Qi Jing was assigned to the emergency department. Qin Ruofen and Xue Ping wanted to treat him as ordinary interns, but they didn't expect that their observation ability was so strong.

"The analysis was good, but there were still flaws." Qin Ruofen said, "The color of the feces in diarrhea is also very important. It should be added to routine consultations and pay more attention next time."

"Teacher Qin, it's true in theory, but..."

"but?"
