Chapter 58: Jerry Wayne

In the second half of the game, it was obvious that Connecticut was excited about playing.

They entered a state of not taking their opponents into consideration. Notre Dame could not resist their pace. The only opponent, the University of Pittsburgh, had been upset by the Wildcats, and no team could stop them from winning the Eastern Conference championship.

The game came to an end, and Connecticut defeated Notre Dame by 24 points.

The reporters habitually ignored the best players in Kangda and interviewed Ben Gordon, the most entertaining style of playing.

When Gordon talks about how to win, the joy and complacency in his eyes cannot be hidden.

They do regard the University of Pittsburgh as the Big East's only opponent, otherwise he would have no reason to say that when he heard a reporter ask "Do you have confidence in tomorrow's final?"

It sounds unreasonable.

"We are obviously better teams, we have deeper bench depth and athletic talent. We are undoubtedly the best team in the Big East. Even if Emecca doesn't play tomorrow night, I can beat Villanova with five substitutes!"

The low point of view from the opponent is much more effective than the coaching staff's spiritual chicken soup.

After watching Connecticut's game against Notre Dame, the Wildcats, who were originally uneasy and lost confidence, heard Gordon's crazy words, everyone was furious.

"Are you sure he said he could beat us even if he brought five substitutes?" Wei Xia stared at the son of Dunleavy who was informing him.

Dunleavy's son said crazy: "Can I hear this wrong? We will see his interview on TV in the evening. I watched it really. That's a reporter from CBS!"

Wei Xia was silent for a while.

Teammates thought he said something harsh, but he smiled faintly and said, "Okay, we really may not be able to beat their substitute."

Hearing this, there were cold snorting, laughter, restless frowning expressions, and panic at a loss.

Jay Wright didn't expect Gordon to personally provide psychological counseling for his team members.

Even though some people are still uneasy, they are mostly the number ones sitting on the bench.

The six or seven people who are qualified to appear tomorrow night only have the strong fighting spirit of being ready to compete with Connecticut.

Thanks to Ben Gordon, it's a pity that he didn't go to ted to give a speech.

The Wildcats took the bus silently and returned to the hotel.

Before they returned to their rooms, Allen Ray gathered the players together, just like he would give a routine lecture before entering the competition venue.

"Damn, I will definitely work with that bitch tomorrow to the end!" There is no need to say which person the bitch raised was in the thunder.

Randy Fury smiled and said, "Is there anyone else who doesn't want to fight that bastard to the end?"

"Very good, that's it. I don't care whether they are Husky or Alaska. No matter what kind of blood they are from, we even killed Pittsburgh, and we are still afraid of the Husky ranked second in the league?"

Lei did not have excellent eloquence. The reason why his lectures inspired people is that he has a strong personality charm.

It was as if Li Yunlong was also a rough man who couldn't even recognize words, but after he shouted a few times, the whole group had to scream and rush up.

Lei is such a role in the Wildcats.

"Now there are 20 hours left before the final. Should we sit here and play on the floor or go back to have a sleep?" Wei Xia said rationally. "I think it is safer to go back to the room to sleep. After all, the ground is too dirty and there are a lot of bacteria."

Lei said anxiously: "You are the ones who can destroy the atmosphere the most!"

Wei Xia protested: "I am seeking truth from facts!"

"Get out! Get out! Get out of here! Have a good sleep. Tomorrow we will peel dog skins and eat dog meat like Chinese!" Lei shouted.

Wei Xia really wanted to argue for the group of people in Dongfang who had the same skin color as him, but he didn't know where to start.

Because even since he was a child, he has accepted various messages such as "Chinese people can copy", "Chinese people love to eat dog meat and cat meat", "Chinese people know kung fu". He has never been to China, and Wei Mingliang has only been to several times and cannot tell them what kind of country China is.

Everyone dispersed, and Wei Xia was about to call her home, but suddenly the phone rang in his room.

Sheridan answered the phone and shouted, "Felix, someone is looking for you."

"My mother?"

"It's the voice of a man."

"That's my dad or brother." Wei Xia took the phone and was about to speak, but she heard the other end of the phone say, "Can't it be your grandfather, little guy?"

"grandfather?"

Hearing this, Sheridan said in surprise: "The person on the phone is the one you often say 'the guy who stole Haflicke's ball'?"

"Is my story so famous?" I wonder if the hotel's telephone phone function is too good, but Sheridan's whispers were heard by Wei Xia's grandfather.

Wei Xia had to press the speakerphone, "Grandpa, let me introduce you to me. The people who are talking to me are my teammates and roommates, Will Sheridan."

"Hello Will, my name is Jerry Wayne, you should already know that I am Felix's grandfather."

"I know, he often tells me your story."

"Will, can I say something about family whispers to Felix?"

"Of course!" Sheridan dispersed tactfully.

"Has he gone far?"

"Um."

"This Will is the bent man you told me that you dare to announce his sexual orientation in front of the whole team, right?"

Wei Xia was so stupid that she heard it.

"First of all, you can't call him that, you lack respect." Weisha paused, "Secondly, when did I mention Will?"

After a while of silence, Wayne said, "Oh! That should be what your mother said when she was talking to me. You should know that there is no secret in a woman's mouth, so don't whisper to your mother again."

Wei Xia felt a headache when she heard this, "You called so late, is there anything wrong?"

"Of course, I'm about to forget if you don't say it. Aren't you going to play the final tomorrow? I'll assign you a few tasks."

"You said."

"Win the ball."

It sounds reasonable.

“Become the most valuable player.”

Of course, we must try our best to win honor.

"Give me a front row ticket for Madison Gardens, and I'm going to cheer you on the spot."

"ha?"

"Don't worry, I won't let you pay. I can reimburse you $100."

"Do you know that due to various reasons, the ticket price for this year's finals has increased several times compared to previous years?" Wei Xia said in a trembling tone. "The front row tickets for the finals are not worth $1,000. The tickets have been sold out long ago. How can $100 be enough for the tiger's mouth to seize food?"

"The best player in the championship team can't even get the ball ticket? I made a mistake with you Felix! Do you know? I have a nickname called Lucky Star in Boston. When I first went to watch the game, I witnessed the greatest steal in the history of the Celtics. I also cut off the 'Hondo' ball! Since then, whenever I went to watch the game on site, the Celtics always won more than they lost. Let me cheer you on the scene, and your chances of winning the championship will be increased by at least 1 times!"

What else can Wei Xia say?
