Chapter 1808 Branches to the east are the return

After Uchiha Xuan talked to Xuanzang for some days, he also left.

Although he said he had left, he was still near Chang'an City. He didn't want to affect Xuanzang too much, so he would let Xuanzang do it himself.

I have done almost everything I should have done, so I will leave the rest to Xuanzang.

After being buried in Chang'an City and accepted the enthronement, he returned to Jinshan Temple.

At this time, all the monks here in Jinshan Temple already knew that Xuanzang was going to the West.

The monks in Jinshan Temple were very shocked by this matter. They couldn't understand why Xuanzang wanted to go to the illusory place in the West.

The road to the west is very dangerous. Let’s talk about other places. Although the territory of the Tang Dynasty is already very stable, there are still many dangers, let alone countries outside the Tang Dynasty. Some places are deserted and some places are gathered with monsters. In such places, it is really dangerous.

So, they didn't quite understand Xuanzang.

Xuanzang was already the host of Jinshan Temple. He was admired by monks at Jinshan Temple, and everyone loved him very much.

Moreover, Xuanzang is now a guest of honor for King Li Shimin of Tang Dynasty. He is also a famous monk in the Tang Dynasty. As long as he continues to develop, he will definitely become the number one monk in the Tang Dynasty in the future. He will be famous throughout history and become famous throughout the ages.

However, Xuanzang did not do this and chose a unique path. Just like when he was still Jin Chanzi, he gave up his position in Lingshan and made ten great wishes to go, experience the sufferings of the world, and open up a new path for Buddhism.

He was like this hundreds of years ago, but he was still like this hundreds of years later.

Jin Chanzi never cared about his fame and fortune. Those were all over the world. What he wanted was the Buddha in his heart and the real Buddhism. That was why he thought about opening up a path for Buddhism and giving the three realms a peaceful and prosperous era.

Elder Faming was also a little surprised when he learned about Xuanzang's decision, but he did not feel worried like others, but was happy and proud of the choice.

It was his disciple. From the time he began to accept Xuanzang, he knew that his disciple was absolutely extraordinary, and would never be an ordinary life. He would definitely do something grand and vigorously, and would definitely fight for Buddhism for the rest of his life.

He had expected that Xuanzang would travel around sooner or later one day, but he didn't expect that this day would come so quickly and the place where he traveled was so far.

Elder Faming sat cross-legged in his bedroom, quietly recalling the scene when he met Xuanzang. At that time, he picked up Xuanzang in the river.

So Xuanzang also became Jiang Liuer.

Later, when Xuanzang grew up, he learned about his parents and helped his father clear his grievances. Later, his mother also committed suicide and followed his father.

Xuanzang stayed in Jinshan Temple. Xuanzang has been different from others since he was a child. Everyone is respectful to Buddhism and has no doubts at all. However, Xuanzang always had many doubts about this and that, and his brothers were a little annoyed.

But Elder Faming did not think so. He thought that Xuanzang's doing this was a very good thing, because this Buddhism was also done by his predecessors. With the development of time, everything is constantly renewing, and many things also need to be changed according to the times.

At the same time, no one is perfect. Although the Buddhist teachings of those days are good, they are also restricted by certain times and influenced by personal thoughts. They may not be all genuine. So when you encounter questions, you should ask more questions and think more. This is very helpful for the improvement of your Buddhist teachings.

"Master, the disciple is about to go to the West to obtain scriptures. I don't know if I can come back now. Even if I can come back, I don't know when I will be able to return. Master, disciple..." Looking at the white-haired master, Xuanzang found that his master was much older, and he was no longer the young and strong master back then.

My master has entered the age of old age. I don’t know how long it will take to go to the West this time, nor do I know if my master is still there when I come back again.

Thinking of these things, Xuanzang's eyes were filled with tears and his mood was very low. He was raised by his master since he was a child. Without his master, Xuanzang would not be without him.

"Xuanzang, as a disciple of Buddhism, you are very happy to go to the West for the sake of Buddhism. Buddhism emphasizes that all four elements are empty, so why should you be so reluctant to leave? Master, I am old, don't worry, the master will definitely wait for you to come back." Faming said to Xuanzang with a smile, and he could see what Xuanzang was thinking.

Xuanzang nodded: "Master, please rest assured. This time, my disciple will definitely do what I want to do when I go to the West."

"Okay, along the way, you must also be careful. No matter what happens, don't forget your original intention. You must never change gradually." Elder Faming reminded.

The most important thing in this path of cultivation is to keep your own heart. If you can't even keep your own heart, your practice will become more and more biased, and in the end you will be obsessed with or fall into the abyss.

Xuanzang nodded again and wrote down these words.

I chatted with my master for a night, and Xuanzang was about to leave the next day.

All the monks from all over Jinshan Temple came to the door to see Xuanzang off.

Everyone was reluctant to let go of Xuanzang. Xuanzang was a very good person, and they did not want Xuanzang to take risks like this.

"Dear brothers and brothers, as well as disciples and nephews, I am the one who goes to the Western Heaven this time. I am the Tang Dynasty, so that all of our Buddhists can rest assured that I, Xuanzang, will inevitably bring different changes to our Buddhists." Xuanzang said to everyone with a smile.

"Junior Brother Xuanzang, your journey to the West is so far this time. I wonder when you will return?" asked a monk.

Xuanzang smiled, looked at the tree in front of the door, and said, "If you see all the branches of Chang'an City facing east, it will be the time for me to return."

Everyone nodded and wrote down.

Xuanzang wore a cassock and held a Zen stick in his hand, heading towards the direction of the cicada, because the Tang King wanted to see her and sent him the last time.

In front of the west gate of Chang'an City, Li Shimin brought all civil and military officials to bid farewell to Xuanzang here.

Xuanzang is also his good brother. After this time, Li Shimin didn't know when he would meet again.

"Brother Li, you don't have to worry too much. I only know how to go to the West, and I can return at least two or three years, or five or six years." Xuanzang said with a smile.

Li Shimin nodded, then waved his hand, and the subordinate next to him brought a glass of wine.
