Chapter 1720 Persuade the Governor of Chang'an City

Xuanzang looked at the fearful people, but he had no fear.

"We Buddhism emphasize that we can follow the circumstances, and practicing Buddhism is also like that. Although Buddhism is now mainly practicing Hinayana Buddhism, we can also practice it if we like Mahayana Buddhism. You just said that it is forbidden to practice Mahayana Buddhism, but I would like to ask everyone, did the Buddha say that it is forbidden to practice Mahayana Buddhism?" Xuanzang looked at everyone and asked.

Tathagata Buddha does not prohibit practicing Mahayana Buddhism, but everyone knows that Tathagata Buddha hopes that all Buddhists will practice Hinayana Buddhism, so everyone practices in this way.

After all, if you practice Mahayana Buddhism, it is obvious that you are facing the Tathagata Buddha, and no one wants to do this.

"Okay, we won't talk about Mahayana Buddhism and Hinayana Buddhism now. What we want to talk about is to protect Chang'an City. There are millions of people here in Chang'an City. Once those demons arrive, the impact will inevitably be great. I hope that all the disciples of our Jinshan Temple can stand up and organize everyone to resist the demons!"

Xuanzang continued to say to everyone.

"Don't forget that the Tang Dynasty has given us Buddhism a great kindness. Now we can practice Buddhism here with peace of mind, and don't have to worry about food, clothing, housing and transportation, and enjoy a peaceful life. This is given to us by the Tang Dynasty. New Chang'an City is about to encounter a great disaster. If we stay away from home and stay out of trouble, do you feel worthy of our conscience? Do you deserve the Buddha? If the Buddha knows that you do this, you will inevitably be angry with you!"

After Xuanzang finished speaking the second half of the words, the Buddhist disciples present were shocked.

"Uncle Xuanzang, our Chang'an City is so stable now, but where did this demon come from? Why haven't we seen it now?" asked a disciple.

"Now the demons are hiding, so naturally they won't come out casually. This is what I have learned based on my observations. In the past few months, I have been walking around in the Tang Dynasty, and at the same time I have also inquired about the actions of those demons.

Based on their actions, I discovered some rules, so I inferred that their next move is our Chang'an City."

After hearing Xuanzang's words, everyone nodded. They believed Xuanzang more or less.

Even if you guess wrong this time, it doesn’t matter. At least it can prove that the Buddhist sect of Jinshan Temple is in love with everyone and can win more pilgrims to come to Jinshan Temple.

"If you are willing to go to Chang'an City with me to resist the demons, stand up. If you are unwilling to resist, then stay in Jinshan Temple honestly!"

Xuanzang said as he walked out of the Main Hall and arrived at the square outside.

After the monks in the Main Hall paused for a moment, they followed Xuanzang out one after another, with no one left.

They are all willing to follow Xuanzang to protect Chang'an City.

Xuanzang just said very well. Now they can enjoy a peaceful life and have no worries about food and clothing. This is a generous gift from the Tang Dynasty to them, and it is also the help and admiration of the people around them.

Now that these people are in danger, how can they sit still and ignore them? Their conscience will be uneasy.

Xuanzang turned around and looked at his fellow disciples, with a smile on his lips.

Although these fellow disciples usually seem a little weak and verbose, and sometimes they are greedy for life and fear of death, they are still very sensible and have a correct judgment in the face of major issues.

"Okay! Let's go to Chang'an City now and organize everyone to resist the demons together. This time we must keep the demons outside Chang'an City!" After Xuanzang finished speaking, he left Jinshan Temple with hundreds of disciples and headed towards Chang'an City.

Xuanzang's master Elder Faming stood on a high place, looking at the departure of Xuanzang and others, with a smile on his lips.

"This Xuanchang is indeed different from other disciples." Elder Faming smiled faintly.

Xuanzang and others came to Chang'an City and then found the prefect of Chang'an City. After hearing Jin Chanzi's words, the prefect of Chang'an City was surprised.

Are there any demons coming to Chang'an City? There are many experts here in Chang'an City. If those demons come, wouldn't they seek death?

"This little master, I think you are joking. There is no demon in this Chang'an City within a radius of thousands of miles, and it is quiet. How could it be here?

Even if it really comes, there are so many troops in Chang'an City and many cultivators, so you can deal with it without worrying too much." The prefect said with a smile.

Xuanzang: "Mr. The devils have planned their actions and are definitely not ordinary demons who cause trouble. Since they dare to attack Chang'an City, they naturally have their precise plans. We must prepare in advance. If we don't prepare, it is likely to fail. So please prepare early."

The prefect still did not agree with Xuanzang's words. If you want to prepare in advance, it would have a great impact. It would have to mobilize a large army, which would consume a lot of manpower and material resources. If the demon did not come in the end, the prefect would be punished and would be removed.

Xuanzang looked at the prefect and understood what he was thinking: "Prince Gong, if you are not prepared to let the demons take advantage of the opportunity to enter this Chang'an City, in Chang'an City, but there is His Majesty here today. Not to mention whether His Majesty will encounter any danger, the demons who rushed into Chang'an City will be dead. If His Majesty is disturbed or hurt, your nine tribes will perish."

After hearing this, the prefect of Chang'an City suddenly trembled in his heart. The little monk was right. If a demon really rushed in, the prefect of Chang'an City would be in trouble.

If this demon enters the palace, then...

"If the adults can defend Chang'an City at this time, even if a demon breaks into Chang'an City, although the adults will be punished, the crime is much less serious. At most, you will be removed from your official position or demoted you to another place. After all, the adults have already made preparations in advance, so that for the adults and your family, there is no life danger.

Even if the demon did not come this time, the adults would be punished at most and would be in danger of life. Perhaps the adults would be scolded at most because they did this for the sake of Chang'an City." After Xuanzang paused, he continued to say to the prefect.

The prefect stood there listening to Xuanzang's words, frowned slightly, and what the little monk said made sense.

After weighing the pros and cons, the prefect made a decision and he had to be prepared.
