Chapter 8 Martial Arts Notes

I entered the room and found a book that was not very new.

It was too luxurious to use a pen, so I randomly found a pencil.

Hong Kang wanted to record his feelings and experiences at this time in the form of "note-taking".

After all, a good memory is not as good as a bad writing!

And if you discover mistakes or omissions in the future, or gain new insights, writing them down will make it easier to compare them before and after.

"October 9th, the weather will be fine."

"Although I haven't practiced martial arts for a long time, I have summarized some of my own experiences."

"A person who practices martial arts must first develop a strong body. Without good physical fitness and a strong body, it is absolutely impossible to achieve success in martial arts."

Hong Kang's pen tip made a scratching sound on the paper.

He first clearly pointed out the importance of the body at the beginning, rather than emphasizing the power of various boxing techniques.

He stopped writing to think, considered the words, and then wrote again.

"The strength of physical fitness is directly related to the quality of internal organ function."

"In terms of martial arts and traditional Chinese medicine theory, it means whether the qi and blood in the body are harmonious or not, and whether the internal qi is sufficient. From the perspective of modern medicine, it means the strength of the visceral function and the quality of the endocrine function."

"But the internal organs are the most difficult to train."

"Some masters who practice foreign boxing were unparalleled and unstoppable when they were young. But once they reach forty, hidden injuries in their bodies break out and their physical fitness declines rapidly. This is their shortcoming."

"And my own "horse stance" is not to stand on a dead horse, but to cooperate with the breathing method, the throat is self-locking, the anus is raised and the vagina is contracted."

"Only when the breath is held down at both ends of the throat and valley, can the pleura support the chest organs."

“Through the natural contraction of the abdominal muscles, the various organs in the abdominal cavity are naturally tightened, so that the entire body is in a very full state of internal energy. Any part of the body will be able to withstand greater external force, or to exert greater energy to the outside.

Use force. This is the mechanism of the "horse stance" exercise."

From this, Hong Kang boldly made his own inference.

"The mastery of the [Mabuzhuang] Stand will give the human body's internal organs special exercise, and its functions will be improved, thereby balancing the qi and blood in the body, filling the internal qi, and enhancing the endocrine function."

"Due to the enhanced function of the internal organs, the body's limbs and bones will be nourished, and the body's physical condition will slowly improve, allowing people to explode with extraordinary energy when fighting."

Hong Kang looked at his sorting and summary, feeling satisfied and feeling great joy.

"call……"

Emphasize a breath of turbidity.

On this, there are speculations he made based on some knowledge from later generations.

He dare not say that his idea is completely accurate, but this is an idea he came up with based on the existing knowledge.

With this idea in mind, his martial arts did not improve immediately. This is not a fantasy world where once he enlightens, his martial arts will advance by leaps and bounds.

But it can give Hong Kang a clear direction in his subsequent practice, and he will not be like most martial artists who know what is happening but don't know why.

Sure enough, in the next few days.

Hong Kang's "Zha Ma" Kungfu improved bit by bit.

His physical fitness has improved significantly.

Every move he makes is as light and agile as a monkey's.

After Hong Zhennan came back, Hong Meifang told him what happened to her son before.

After hearing this, Hong Zhennan carefully examined Hong Kang's whole body and found nothing unusual.

"Perhaps he was just sick and couldn't adapt to this kind of "Zama"?" Hong Zhennan guessed, "Is it still like this these days?"

Hong Meifang shook her head: "It hasn't happened again in the past few days. And her mental outlook is getting better day by day."

"That's it, it's nothing serious, don't worry." Hong Zhennan said.

For the next half year or so, life was very peaceful.

In other words, Hong Kang lived a peaceful life.

Every day I just practice boxing, build horses, or help with some work.

As for some major events, Hong Kang learned some from newspapers. For example, newspapers reported that on February 4, a fire broke out on the passenger ship Xi'an in the waters of Hong Kong Island, resulting in the tragedy of about 200 deaths.

As soon as the news came out, the whole Hong Kong was shocked.

This was the first fire in which so many people died after Neon withdrew from Hong Kong Island. Naturally, efforts need to be made to investigate the cause.

During that period, Hong Zhennan came back to complain that the business of the dock was affected.

This affects the salary of his manager!

Of course, there are things that have improved.

First of all, several martial arts masters that Hong Zhennan knew before also came to Hong Kong Island.

Among them, there was Master Luo Zitao, who knew the "Great Sage Piguaquan"; there was Master Zheng Zixuan, who knew the "Youshen Baguazhang"; however, Hong Zhennan secretly told Hong Kang that the kung fu of these two people was actually not as good as his own.

The relationship between these two people could only be said to be average before, but here, they are all refugees, and they feel like they are "the same people in the world".

Hong Zhennan helped and arranged to go to the dock to do some work. Of course, he was not the kind to take care of things, he had to work.

However, just like that, several people are very grateful.

After more than half a year of training, Hong Kang, who is almost nine years old, is now very strong and full of tendons. Some fifteen or sixteen-year-old boys who lack exercise may not be able to beat him.

In the past six months, Hong Zhennan has also passed [Bridge Hand] to Hong Kang.

This [Bridge Hand] originally trained with [Zama].

But at the beginning, Hong Zhennan was afraid that his son would be distracted, so he taught Hong Kang only after he had gained some success in "Zama".

[Bridge Hand] refers to the general term for attacking and defending techniques with the forearm part of the hand.

Hong Zhennan told Hong Kang that [Hong Quan] has a boxing proverb: "If there is a bridge, cross it. If there is no bridge, ask if there is a bridge."

The "bridge" here refers to the arm.

There is a saying among Hongquan bridge hands as the “Twelve Bridge Hands”, the most famous ones are Fen, Ding and Cun.

When teaching, Hong Zhennan warned: "Akang, you have to practice this [Bridge Hand] well, and cooperate with [Zha Ma], and you will be able to practice the Kung Fu of "Bronze Bridge and Iron Horse"."

"It means to train your arms to be as hard as copper and iron. In actual combat, when the opponent punches you, just a bridge hand can break the opponent's arm."

Training your arms to be like steel should be a metaphor.

However, after practicing for almost half a year, Hong Kang also had his own understanding of [Bridge Hand].

Night.

Under the dim light, an old notebook.

Hong Kang wrote: "[Bridge Hand] means that when the opponent attacks me, I can cleverly use the distance between me and the opponent to use my arms as a "bridge" to block the opponent's offensive; while blocking,

And be able to counterattack at the same time.”

It sounds a bit like the so-called "defensive counterattack", which is actually not wrong.

After all, many boxing styles have this fighting philosophy.

The second day.

Hong Kang, who was about to start his daily boxing practice, suddenly felt a chill, as if he was being watched by something.

After more than half a year of training in the "Listening to Breathing Method", Hong Kang found that his spirit was much sharper.

I dare not say that the gazes on others are like a ray of light on my back! But if someone is looking at him, Hong Kang can feel it about twenty meters away.

And now this feeling of aversion to cold, is it dangerous?

Hong Kang calmly continued to bend over, shake his legs, and stretch his arms.

Taking advantage of the gap, his eyes quickly glanced around.

Suddenly his pupils shrank.

"Huh? That's...??"
