Chapter 104 Ragnarok

The rainbow bridge, which was flowing with the colorful colors of the universe in the past, was already dull. The huge wounds and terrible war ruins destroyed the bridge deck, and the aftermath of the broken time and space almost completely destroyed the miracle of the Asgardians.

Not far away, Heimdal, who had lost his eyes, stood silently in the ruins facing the nine kingdoms, still loyally guarding Asgard.

On the Golden Throne, the crow circled and cried, and finally fell on Odin's shoulder. He gently patted Odin's shoulder with his broken wings. Odin's body was no longer as tall and firm as before. His face was full of fatigue and old age. The Lord of Asgard looked like a silent old man.

The silk ribbon tied his eyes, and divine blood seeped out from under the ribbon, adding a bit of sadness to the scene.

"Father!" A dark shadow stood beside the stone pillar, looking directly at Odin on the throne. His eyes stayed on Odin's blind eyes for a moment, revealing a trace of complex feelings.

Odin on the throne sighed a long sigh: "Loki, are you here to look at your father's weakness and spy on his throne?"

There was a hint of tingling and resentment in Loki's eyes, but he still answered calmly: "No, my king, I am here to thank you for your forgiveness..."

"I don't want to forgive you...I believe that the flame of jealousy is still burning in your heart. Loki, your nature is very dangerous, but Thor convinced me that he tried to prove that you are trustworthy, and that he believed that your love for your family is true..."

Odin seemed to be exhausted, and he sank his head and said sadly: "Asgard has reached the most dangerous moment, and I also hope you can overcome the difficulties with us... Loki, don't let Thor down."

The two suddenly became silent, and the atmosphere became a little quiet.

After a long time, Odin spoke, "You have always wanted to know why I adopted you, right? Adopt you, the son of Lawfi!" Loki, who was under the throne, raised his head in surprise and looked at his adoptive father with a confused look on his face.

"The war with the Frost Giant has become a memory. Most of the Asgardians have long forgotten this history, but in my memory, the war between us and the Frost Giant who had not been destroyed was once very tragic... They once had a very powerful war civilization."

"The frost giants like those savages in your memory are completely different..."

"Our enemies are very powerful. The dark elves keep infiltrating into Asgard for destruction. The dark stars are ready to move. The elves and dwarves have other thoughts... and the frost giants are entangled in our army on the battlefield, and their form is at stake."

"At that time, our nemesis had a civilization that was no less than ours. They had no fear of anyone except the disaster of apocalypse."

Odin's voice slowly lowered, and his eyes gradually faded away, as if he had looked at the distant history through time. Loki also felt some indescribable emotions as Odin's narration.

"Is it strange? But my child, you must know that no civilization is born powerful. They have to go through painful tempering and despair transformation until they pay a tragic price and drink the blood of heroes... to create brilliant glory. This process requires breaking its backbone, questioning the soul of this civilization, and until several times of fire, they can achieve a great civilization."

"On this road, there are beasts like the dark elves and the frost giants who failed in war and almost became blood-drinking feathers, and they also lost their autonomy like dwarves and elves and chose to surrender to other great civilizations, and even like humans... they are still staggering forward, and there are very few civilizations like Asgard who created brilliantly."

Odin stroked the eye mask in his left eye, his hands trembled slightly, and he could hardly hold the scepter. He snatched his breath and said to Loki excitedly: "You may be very puzzled, why do I insist on participating in the stupid and complex human entanglements, and paying such a painful price. You think this is the reason why I dote on Thor, but I want to tell you..."

Odin looked at Loki with his empty eyes, took two steps back in horror, and said word by word: "In my heart, there is nothing more important than Asgard!"

After saying this, Odin seemed to have lost all his strength. He leaned on the throne, stretched out a finger to stroke the head of the crow on his shoulder. The crow croaked twice and rubbed Odin intimately: "Haiji (thinking) is dead, how can Mu Lin (memory) live alone..."

Before he could finish his words, the crow standing on Odin's shoulder was afraid of returning to the sky with its wings, leaving feathers floating all over the sky, and disappeared in front of Loki. Loki watched the crow's soul turn into two, flew to the atrium, hovering on the battlefield in Washington, and in the tragic battlefield surrounded by lava, returning to the bodies of the two crows who died beside Chen Ang, the ancient snake in the past.

"They returned to the arms of death..." Odin said with a hint of sadness: "Long ago, when Asgard and the Frost Giant were in a stalemate, they guided me to the World Tree, which was a miracle place that gathered in the Nine Realms, in front of the Spring of Wisdom, I paid an eye to pray to the World Tree for the wisdom to defeat the Frost Giant, and then I successfully defeated Laufi... He also took one of my eyes."

"So when I saw you, I felt a voice saying to me, leave him, this is your sin and love, so I adopted you as my son. At first I just believed in the guidance of wisdom, but then I slowly discovered that Loki - my son, you are so outstanding, and I saw my own shadow in you... You have the blood of Luo Fei, but you also have the love of Asgard and my soul."

"I thought I would always be proud of you..."

"Prophecy tells me that you will bring dusk to the gods of Asgard, and you will let your father, brother, sink forever... But this is just one aspect of the prophecy, and many people will never know that prophecy is always a blend of good and evil. You can bury the gods for the son of the dusk. But you may also become my pride, protect Asgard, protect Thor, because of love."

"My dear child, I have to admit that there was a time when you made me confused. I don't know how to face you, your kindness and malice, your jealousy and love in your heart? I tried to test you, but this made us farther and farther. I am very happy that Thor has firmly guarded his loved ones, but for you, I am at a loss."

Loki turned his face slightly, preventing Odin from looking at him.

"I felt fate was coming before me, and one evening, I came to the Fountain of Wisdom. This time I did not pray for strength or wisdom. I even threw Kungunier on the ground and only prayed for an answer to the World Tree - love and redemption!"

Loki suddenly saw the souls of two crows hovering between him and Odin. Even for the god who controls the illusion, he could not control himself into the darkness. In the deep abyss, he saw the huge world tree - a tree-like cosmic structure connecting the nine kingdoms, making a huge whine in the flames and war, and collapsed with a loud bang.

From the collapsed root of the World Tree, a ferocious black dragon flew out. He gnawed the foundation of the universe, and the corpses of the Asgard gods hung on their wings rose from the sky from the fire. It was covered in huge iron armor, and lava and flames were burning in its body. Death circled on its wings. Countless venomous snakes crawled out from behind him, turning Asgard into hell.

He saw Odin being pounced down by a huge demon wolf. The demon wolf bit his flesh and blood. Kungunier fell beside him. He saw Thor pounce forward in grief and anger, picking up Kungunier and piercing the demon wolf's heart, but there was nothing he could do. Odin collapsed in a pool of blood and ushered in the dusk-for some reason, Loki cried bitterly.

He saw the snake entangling Thor, making him unable to lift his hammer. Thor broke free from the snake and threw the Thor's hammer hard towards the snake's head, but he was also bitten by poisonous fangs and eventually fell into the abyss with the snake.

Finally, the black dragon flew to the top of the world tree. Facing the collapsed world tree universe, it roared to the sky, tearing the earth of the nine kingdoms. As a burst of darkness enveloped the earth, the black dragon twisted into a man's appearance and laughed loudly in the dusk of the gods - it was only then that Loki could see his face clearly...

That was the ancient snake Chen Ang. His unique temperament was different from the Apocalypse, which made people tell them at a glance.

"I gave my other eye and just wanted to end the desperate dusk..." Odin sighed: "It's a pity that I was still wrong!"

"Why? Haven't you killed him?" Loki looked up suddenly.

The souls of the two crows brought Loki to a void again, turning them into crows after they died, and everything they saw was repeated again. This time, Loki finally saw it. In the depths of the universe, four terrible beings descended with the deepest shadows...

"War, famine, plague, death..."

"These four disasters come to the nine kingdoms in a long cycle. They are called the Four Knights of Apocalypse, and this disaster is also the disaster of Apocalypse."

"Now they are coming again!" Odin sighed deeply.

The body of the ancient snake Chen Ang, controlled by the apocalypse, welcomed these four terrifying disasters outside the solar system. Famine merged with him and flew towards Asgard with a huge comet. War fell to Earth, and the plague was attached to it, but when it passed by the moon, it only endured death, and was entangled with a huge planet in outer space.

Loki saw the huge black dragon open his eyes in Asgard; on the top of the Stark Building, a dark soul suddenly was hit by a silver streamer; a group of races with powerful spiritual power, their crystal-cast kingdom entangled with the shadow of death; another group of humans, the ancient and angry Atlantis civilization, suddenly discovered that they were infected with a strange virus.

The huge darkness came like a tide, making Loki almost breathless in fear. He could only watch helplessly, and the thick shadows filled the entire universe.

"Is this world going to perish?" Loki never thought that he would one day despair because of destruction.
