169. Brain Blossoms

Xia Yi didn't bother to explain, so he grabbed the two survivors and took them out of the door.

The two were frightened and struggled fiercely. They calmed down when they saw the empty street. The other survivor saw that the two companions were okay and walked out carefully. The three looked at the street with wide eyes.

"Let's go." Xia Yi put the two of them down and walked forward.

The three survivors followed, their expressions first filled with joy, then confusion, and finally turned into admiration.

Needless to say, the zombies outside must have been dealt with by the man in front.

If they weren't still in the dangerous outdoors, they would have expressed their feelings to Xia Yi through chatter.

Xia Yi came to the other side of the road and entered an alley.

The three survivors hesitated: "That's the main road over there, isn't it more dangerous?"

"There is no safer way than that way." Xia Yi replied.

The three of them picked up weapons and walked nervously. The alley was dark. Xia Yi took out a combat flashlight for lighting and killed a zombie in the alley.

His movements were so fast that the three of them thought it was a zombie and did not react. Unexpectedly, the zombies did not notice Xia Yi at all.

After walking for half a minute, the exit of the alley appeared. The light of the street lamp shone in from the intersection, and the three people's hearts were in their throats.

Finally, they stepped out of the alley.

What caught their eyes was a road that was even emptier than the road behind.

There was not a single zombie on the entire road, which was the result of Xia Yi's half-day effort.

"This..." The three of them stopped in shock.

"Hurry up." Xia Yi urged them.

The three of them observed carefully and found that there was indeed not a single zombie in sight. Their hearts were relaxed and their emotions were peaceful. After the camp fell, they had been frightened all the way. Now, they had found a rare peace.

Xia Yi led them forward, turned a corner, and arrived at Kelan Apartment.

"Who?" asked the security guard at the entrance to the second floor.

"It's me." Xia Yi said.

The rope was lowered, and Xia Yi and the three survivors climbed up.

"What is this?" The two security guards looked at the three survivors in confusion.

"We met on the road. Their camp encountered the Cryers and fell." Xia Yi said.

"You sent them all the way here?" The security guard looked at Xia Yi in surprise.

Xia Yi nodded.

The two security guards stood in awe.

For the sake of their own safety, the explorers in the apartment never took people who were not relatives through the city, let alone at night. But Xia Yi did it.

Thinking of Xia Yi asking them to exchange useless waste paper for supplies, their respect for Xia Yi deepened.

Xia Yi didn't know what they were thinking, otherwise he would not know whether to laugh or cry.

He is protected by his girlfriend, so nothing will happen to him. His moral character is not noble, and he doesn't care about strangers. He only followed the wishes of his girlfriend and his wife when he helped the three of them.

"The three of them are left to you." Xia Yi did not forget the cryer. He said goodbye to the five people and went downstairs.

Riding a bicycle, he quickly went to the Nanfang Commercial Building.

The night was quiet, and even the zombies were much quieter. Many of them were even lying on the ground, as if they were resting.

This made Xia Yi miserable. There were many zombies lying on the road, and he couldn't avoid them one by one. Fortunately, he had superb driving skills, so even if he crushed the zombies, he would not lose his balance.

When he rode near the Nanfang Commercial Building, Xia Yi's riding skills advanced and he could already crush zombies all the way.

At the intersection leading to the commercial building, he got out of the car. There were too many zombies in front of him, so he had to walk.

The closer we got to the commercial building, the stronger the roaring in my ears became, but there was no scream.

The roars represent zombies, and the screams represent humans. Are the humans in that camp gone?

Xia Yi hoped that they were hiding.

After passing through the outer circle formed by ordinary zombies, Xia Yi arrived at the inner circle. He saw a dozen spider zombies and a giant zombie.

The survivor's camp is in an ancient building next to the Nanfang Commercial Building. The ancient building has walls, so it is safe.

The giant zombie stood beside the collapsed wall, with three corpses lying beside him, and three spider zombies lying there.

The remaining spider zombies are crawling around in the building, looking for survivors.

Xia Yi killed the three spider zombies beside the wall, and then tentatively attacked the giant zombie. He stabbed the giant zombie in the head with a wooden pole tied with a long knife.

The tip of the knife penetrated the skin, and there was a huge resistance. Fortunately, Xia Yi's body had been strengthened, so he used his strength and still stabbed it in.

Roar--

The giant zombie tilted its head and avoided the knife.

Xia Yi frowned. Sure enough, this giant was not only strong and hard-skinned, but also had feelings in his body.

Ordinary zombies will not react even if they do something excessive, because they do not feel pain. But giant zombies can seek advantages and avoid disadvantages to a certain extent based on their feelings.

Sentient zombies will be less brutal, but will also be harder to kill.

Xia Yi gave the knife to the little fur ball and asked the little fur ball to stab it, but as soon as the little fur ball raised the knife, the giant zombie charged and trampled it under its feet.

The little fur ball returned to Xia Yi's shadow in grievance.

Xia Yi held a moment of silence for human beings. This giant zombie not only had feelings in its body, but also seemed to have intelligence. It could even attack small fur balls and charge.

The giant zombie raised its feet and looked at the ground, as if looking for the little fur ball, but it only saw a knife.

Black blood flowed from its head, which was the wound stabbed by Xia Yi. It slowly backed away and walked out of the gap in the wall. Its instinct told it to leave this dangerous place.

Of course, Xia Yi couldn't let it go. He climbed up the wall, took out his pistol, aimed at the target, and pulled the trigger.

boom--

The bullet hit the giant zombie's feet, stirring up dust.

"..."

This is a warning shot! It’s not a misfire!

If you don’t believe me, I will prove it to you, the next shot will hit your head!

"Little fur ball, lift me next to its head." Xia Yi said.

The little fur ball turned into a pair of stilts and lifted Xia Yi to the head of the giant zombie.

Xia Yi's pistol almost touched the giant zombie's head.

The trigger was pulled and the bullet penetrated into the gray head. The giant zombie shook twice and fell to the ground.

Roar--

The gunfire attracted a group of spider zombies. They searched around and passed by Xia Yi many times, but they couldn't find him.

Xia Yi put away his gun. The most important thing now is the cryer. Find that guy first, and then deal with these spider zombies.

Just as he was thinking about it, he saw a dark and thin figure coming out.

That's the Cryer!

Xia Yi was overjoyed and hurriedly chased after him. After taking two steps, his joy disappeared and his heart became cold.

The cryer's eyes stared at him and followed his movements.

This zombie can find itself!

The cryer opened his mouth, and a harsh cry sounded out, and the zombies around him immediately began to stir.

Just when Xia Yi was thinking about what reason to use to retreat, the cryer turned around first and walked away quickly.

"???"
