In 1937, the Japanese invaded China and Peiping fell. The China Construction Society moved inland several times, successively to Wuhan, Changsha, Kunming and other places. In 1940, it moved to Lizhuang, along with the Academia Sinica and the Central Research Institute.

The museum and Tongji University have more than 10,000 teachers and students. In the war-torn years, they continued scientific and cultural research and cultivated talents here. Dozens of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in New China have taught or studied in this ancient town.

"Jiangshan Yuling, humanities and culture are pure. The old home has a high gate, a fragrant scenery, the sea is turbulent, the Kyushu is bright, I have a good voice, love comes and cares for me. The court hall is stagnant, the lights are dim. I have lived in peace and pursued my ambitions for five years now.

.The emperor is reviving, and the country is powerful. The capital is famous for its beauty, and it is the E'e Academy. I am returning from the East, but my love is late. I have not written any English words, but I regret this parting."
