Chapter 35 Reinforcement
Morgan Reeves was a little anxious. He made himself successfully into a difficult situation, and it was a very deadly dilemma.
Morgan did not expect that the trip to Sudan would cause him to encounter danger, but Morgan knew the danger of coming to Libya, but he had to come forward for some people in Washington to contact the opposition in Libya, help Washington politicians do something that they were inconvenient to come forward, and then gain enough benefits for himself.
As a businessman, especially as a very successful businessman, the business Morgan does not only matter how much money he earns. If he succeeds this time, he can even grasp the economic lifeline of the country. So even though he knows that Libya is a powder keg that is about to explode, Morgan has to come, but he did not expect that the situation would deteriorate so quickly and that his partners would be incompetent to this point.
When the leaders of more than a dozen factions were discussing the fate of a country, they were actually able to get information from the intelligence department, and under heavy escort, they were attacked by more than 100 government troops to the door. Morgan really didn't know whether he could get rid of danger this time, and what made him even more worried was that his only son was trapped in the chaos of Benghazi with him.
The opposition and the government forces are still fighting fiercely, and Benghazi still can't say who will fall into his hands, but Morgan feels that the difficulties he is in front of him are unable to overcome. More than 100 government forces blocked the building where he met with the opposition leaders and kept trying to invade the building. The opposition only has more than 300 people, but they can't break through the government forces' blockade line.
If Morgan's two bodyguards had not been of great strength, they had just led more than a dozen guards from the opposition to block the government army. The building had long been captured by the government army, but now the situation has reached the most dangerous moment. More than a dozen guards have almost died. The leaders of the opposition, both large and small, could not come up with any effective way except to huddle in the corner and yell.
Morgan decided to go into battle himself. He took out his pistol, a Colt M1873 revolver, exactly the same as General Patton's famous ivory-handled Colt M1873.
The collection of Colt M1873 is far more meaningful than practical significance. Although it is powerful, Morgan has no problem with hunting, but it is definitely not suitable for combat. However, Morgan has no choice. The biggest significance of his gun is not how much help his bodyguard Simon, but it can be more convenient when committing suicide. He would rather commit suicide or be shot dead by the government army, but he should never fall alive in the hands of the government army.
Morgan was already desperate. The only thing that made him feel relieved was that his only son Morgan was with Gao Yang and had successfully avoided the melee and should be able to leave the country alive.
For Morgan, the good news was that because the incident was rushed, the government forces did not have time to bring heavy weapons. They had several rocket launchers, but they had used up all the rockets. If they wanted to attack the building, they could only kill all the guards inside. However, the only gate of the building was still guarded by Simon and his companions, but the worst news was that Simon and their bullets were almost used up.
Originally, it was just a meeting. Most of the bodyguards were just carrying pistols. There were only four submachine guns, even if they had heavy firepower, but now the submachine guns had been completely bulleted and the pistol bullets were about to be sold out. If Morgan's two bodyguards were not too strong, they could basically ensure that one bullet would solve an enemy with one bullet. The battle would never have been delayed for three hours and it was not over yet.
There are six floors in the building. Morgan took a pistol and came from the top floor to the lobby on the first floor. He stood silently behind Simon, and then pointed the pistol at the door.
Simon glanced at Morgan but didn't say anything. He understood Morgan's situation. They had only two ways to go now. They either left safely, died here, surrender, and other things. They didn't have to think about it.
Seeing through the gate, the government army had assembled about thirty people, and the battle was about to begin. Simon, who had never been afraid of any battle, was completely desperate at this moment because he knew that all the bullets had been added up to less than fifty rounds, and only six pistols fired them.
When the government troops completed the assembly and scattered into a fan shape and officially launched the charge, Simon held his pistol tightly and prepared to shoot after the enemy rushed into the gate. However, when the enemy was about to enter the gate, the two people running in the front suddenly fell to the ground. Then, at least six or seven people fell forward to the ground. After the rest realized that they were attacked behind them, they immediately dispersed to find cover and gave up the attack.
"What's going on? Why did those wastes suddenly become so powerful? Did we come with new reinforcements?"
Hearing Morgan’s question, Simon shrugged and said, “If it were those trash, we wouldn’t have fallen into our current situation, so I think reinforcements should be coming, boss, your request for help is effective.”
As soon as Simon finished speaking, Morgan's satellite phone suddenly rang. After he answered the phone, Bob's anxious voice came from the microphone.
"Dad, are you okay? Gao Yang and I are here, and there are two other helpers. You must find a way to hold on, and we will find a way to save you."
"Bastard, I asked you to leave here, but I didn't let you come here to die. What can you do? Leave here and leave immediately!"
Morgan was anxious. Out of concern for his son, he thought he would die, and he was not as anxious as he was now. Just as he was yelling and scolding Bob, a loud voice came from the microphone.
"Mr. Reeves, don't blame Bob, how could he leave alone when you are here? Let's say something useful now. I have two helpers. I can block the entrance to the building. You'd better let the bosses who are with you give orders and let their people cooperate with us."
Although Morgan felt that there was little hope, Gao Yang's words undoubtedly brought a glimmer of hope in the darkness. "Reinforcements are coming, we have hope. Try to delay time. I'll talk to those idiots."
After Simon expressed his understanding, Morgan ran back to the sixth floor as fast as possible and found the opposition leaders who were hiding in a room, still blaming each other and making a big fuss.
After punching the door panel a few times, Morgan shouted: "Gentlemen, my reinforcements have arrived. If you want to survive, let your men cooperate and follow my command."
After saying that, Morgan walked to the window and looked down, and found that the situation was still the same. The government troops used the bunker to build a circular fortification at the entrance of the building, blocking the opposition's attacks outwards, and attacking inwards, trying to solve the people in the building.
