Chapter 19 The Rights of Zombies
()
When everyone was stunned when they heard Ye Zhiqiu say this, Carlos forgot to vomit, and stood up and looked at Ye Zhiqiu calmly: "Oh my God, aren't you kidding?"
Ye Zhiqiu glanced at him and said nothing.
Nicole handed the water bottle in his hand to Jill, frowned and said, "You make sense, but we all know that zombies feed on humans."
"Maybe they are just hungry." Ye Zhiqiu spread his hands and said, "We know too little about them. I think they have the right to survive."
"God," Carlos murmured, "It's terrible to let a Chinese talk about rights."
Jill also agreed with Carlos's opinion, and she asked Ye Zhiqiu: "Are you a Greenpacian?"
"No." Ye Zhiqiu shook his head: "I am a Darwinian." He said: "But that doesn't mean I will give priority to killing."
"I thought you were a communist." Carlos shook his head.
Ye Zhiqiu looked at him very seriously and replied: "I am indeed."
"Okay." Nicole interrupted them: "Even if he is a neo-Nazi, we are still humans first." She said: "We are now discussing the zombie, not ideology. The Cold War has been over for thirty years, and I don't think people of our age would know about it."
Ye Zhiqiu pointed at Carlos, feeling that he was wronged: "He mentioned it first."
"If you don't shut up, you will be you." Nicole said angrily.
Strangely, among the four adults, Ni is the only civilian, with the weakest combat power and always looks gentle. But now that he gets angry, everyone has no temper and obediently shuts his mouth.
Ye Zhiqiu walked aside to drink water, Ethan pulled Carlos, and the father and son whispered something. Jill rested for a while, and now he felt much better. He stood up and asked Nicole: "Why are you so angry?"
Nicole now felt that she was acting a little too extreme, shook her head and whispered: "Sorry, I'm so excited."
Jill nodded. Everyone has a past. Since Nicole didn't want to say it, of course she couldn't force it. So she pointed to Ye Zhiqiu: "We have to convince him." Ye Zhiqiu is the main combat power among them. Before he appeared, they always avoided zombies and never expected that they would have the chance to argue about whether to kill a zombie.
Nicole thought for a while, shook her head and said, "Maybe he's right."
"What?" Jill was surprised: "Are you crazy? Forget we've ever seen so many massacres? They never let anyone go."
Nicole shook her head. People who have experienced large-scale virus outbreaks cannot forget that time unless they die. She shook her head and said, "From a biological point of view, any creature will become aggressive when it finds itself in a strange environment. Perhaps when the zombies open their eyes for the first time, they are full of fear of the world just like us."
"So they are expressed in their teeth?" Jill still shuddered when he remembered the chaos at that time.
"Using teeth is the instinct of all mammals. When you are born, you will also use your teeth to attack others." Nicole continued to convince Jill, and at the same time convinced herself.
"You mean these babies are just because they were too big when they were born?" Jill asked in discontently: "Don't forget that they treat humans as food."
Nicole ignored her ridicule and continued, "Maybe Ye is right, they are just lacking in food, and unfortunately, we humans are the easiest food they get."
"You're crazy." Jill gave her an attribution, then cursed, turned around and ignored her.
Nicole walked to Ye Zhiqiu and whispered: "Take me to see her."
Their argument was loud, at least Jill's voice was loud, so Ye Zhiqiu and Carlos actually heard them, but when Nicole said she was going to see the zombie, Ye Zhiqiu was still surprised: "Are you crazy? What should she do when she attacks you?"
"You will protect me!" Nicole answered lightly, as natural as saying that eating when you are hungry and drinking water when you are thirsty.
Ye Zhiqiu opened her mouth and finally stopped talking. She just put down the water bottle in her hand and walked towards the door. Nicole followed her and soon returned to the door.
Ye Zhiqiu still went in and checked it first before waved Nicole in. The two of them came to the room where the zombies were. Ye Zhiqiu listened. The sound of chewing that made people feel cold in their hearts had disappeared. Maybe it was full, Ye Zhiqiu thought. He made a gesture to Nicole: "It doesn't like being shined by the light, and it will feel uneasy."
"That's not surprising." Nicole said: "Visible light is always accompanied by ultraviolet rays, and our flashlights are fluorescent tubes, which rely on ultraviolet rays to emit light, but the intensity is very weak."
Ye Zhiqiu drew his knife in his hand and whispered: "I don't know you are still a chemist."
"This is common sense in medicine." Nicole was a little nervous and whispered to it: "If it acts irritable..."
"If she moves around, I will kill it." Ye Zhiqiu interrupted her. He was not really a member of the animal protection organization. Compared with zombies, his companions were obviously much more important.
Nicole felt that doing this was a bit unfair to the zombie, but after thinking about it, she still didn't say it. Scholars who study biological behavior have a saying: "Never judge creatures with human thinking." Who knows what zombies will think? Maybe they think that biting your neck is the most intimate expression for you.
Ye Zhiqiu turned on the flashlight and slowly pushed open the door. The first thing he saw was the broken corpse, but there were no zombies around it. Ye Zhiqiu was shocked and thought it had left, but soon he found it on a pile of debris. The zombie was wrapped in a broken blanket, showing only its face and one hand, and was lying where it was lying. The light shone on its face, which seemed to make it feel uncomfortable, and its body turned around for a while.
Ye Zhiqiu moved the flashlight away and let it stay in the shadow of the light. He whispered in surprise: "What is it doing?"
"I think I'm sleeping." Nicole looked past him. She didn't have Ye Zhiqiu's eyesight, so she couldn't see clearly, but as a doctor, she was so familiar with this position.
"I know they need to sleep too." Ye Zhiqiu nodded and said, "But this is the first time I have seen a zombie afraid of the cold."
"Have you seen many zombies?" Nicole was stunned and turned to look at him.
Ye Zhiqiu knew that he had revealed his mouth, and at the same time he had a new understanding of Nicole's sensitivity, he stammered: "Have you ever seen zombies wearing clothes to keep warm?"
"As long as they are still constant temperature animals, I believe they are afraid of the cold." Nicole carefully observed the sleeping zombie, feeling that she couldn't see clearly, so she reached out to take the flashlight from Ye Zhiqiu's hand and squeezed over Ye Zhiqiu's side.
