Chapter 1 Yarn (Part 1)
The moon is round again, like a huge silver plate in the sky...
The Mid-Autumn Festival is about to come, but the Mid-Autumn Festival in the Tang Dynasty is not an important festival, and it is not even more important than the Qingming Festival on the Winter Solstice and the Sunset is the Hundred Nine.
Wang Hua walked out of the boat, and Xiao Honghong was playing a song "Cailing". Wang Hua heard it, and she used it to express that she believed the rumors and blindly fell in love with Wang Hua. Now she regrets it.
At this time, the bright moon was rising into the sky, and the night sky was also clear and cloudless. So there was only a silvery white left between the sky and the earth.
In addition, the waves roared on the river, and waves came, shattering a silver mirror and piled up a silver mirror. Wang Hua was shocked by the way when he saw such a spectacular scenery.
The only thing that is not beautiful is that Xiao Honghong is wearing a gauze dress and sitting at the bow of the boat, playing the piano as if it was sad.
Wang Hua had no choice but to go over and ask her. If she really regrets it, let her go.
After secretly leaving the White Horse Temple event, they did not return to Gong County immediately. Wang Hua took them to many places, but in fact, Wang Hua was already preparing for the fire of porcelain.
Porcelain is the most famous handicraft in China. In English, china, another meaning is porcelain. Of course, another origin of porcelain, pottery has a longer history, even several times more than the number of Chinese lacquerware! However, porcelain officially appeared in the Han Dynasty, and porcelain in the true sense was in the Tang Dynasty. But this is also compared with the previous porcelain. In fact, the porcelain firing art of the Tang Dynasty was still very backward.
At later porcelain auctions, some exquisite porcelains from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties were often calculated in millions or even billions of RMB. The blue and white porcelain from Guiguzi went down the mountain to auction at a sky-high price of nearly 300 million yuan. The price of this porcelain was still rising in time on a day basis. That's it, its price is still not as good as the blue and white porcelain from Xiao He, the moonlight chases Han Xin. It's just that the latter is treasured by the state and can't buy it any price.
However, the value of porcelain in the Tang Dynasty was generally only a few tens of thousands of yuan, and those with more than one million were rare. This is because its craftsmanship was rough. Especially before the Middle Tang Dynasty, now, it was made by stacking fire and roasting on open fire, and the glaze surface was inevitably produced by smoke and sand. That is, the small black dots on the porcelain glaze affected its ornamental value.
It’s not that good, at least you can choose a general among the dwarfs. For example, the white porcelain of Xing kiln was praised by the poet as white as snow. But Lu Yu’s derogatory treatment was actually not unreasonable. Later, a large number of Xing porcelains were unearthed, which only proved that it was a kind of rough white porcelain. Of course, compared with the porcelain of his predecessors, it could be considered as white as snow.
There is another famous porcelain - Yueqing. Lu Yu admires this kind of porcelain and has mentioned it many times in the Tea Classic that he hopes that everyone will use Yueqing porcelain to drink tea. But in fact the process is still a bit backward. In addition, there is a small amount of flower porcelain produced in Henan, which is the underglaze color developed from the Tang Sancai technology. However, it is estimated that bringing Qingming pastel porcelain, enamel porcelain, Doucai porcelain, and Wang Hua will casually bring all the masters who fire color porcelain into the cracks in shame.
Of course, Wang Hua did not mock them. Just like now, it is ridiculous to see how ridiculous it is for everyone to use bamboo chips to calculate mathematics. But from nothing to something, how much wisdom is needed to go step by step! Without the accumulation of Tang Dynasty technology, there would be no development of Five Dynasties porcelain, and there would be no prosperity of Song porcelain. Let alone the Yuan blue and white porcelain, until the Ming and Qing porcelain was completed!
But reforming porcelain firing technology is not that easy. First of all, the soil is the best soil formula, using kaolin, porcelain stone and a small amount of warm soil, which is also the main composition of Jingdezhen porcelain porcelain. However, Wang Hua did not intend to use this soil formula. He was planning to start from Song porcelain and improve porcelain firing technology step by step. There is also a foundation. The antique hobby that emerged in his previous life led to the rise of antique craftsmanship. He had studied this for a long time and had a certain foundation. Now with this condition, he also wanted to burn all the famous porcelains in Chinese history!
Of course this is also his dream, and it is very difficult to realize it.
Then we also need to improve the beating efficiency and speed, increase the kiln temperature, improve the technology of porcelain blank boxing, and transform the kiln. It is easy to say, but in fact, each type of porcelain burning requires different tools, kilns and different methods.
But compared to these, the subsequent technology is more difficult. The first is soil quality. Different soil quality will burn different porcelain body. For example, Jingdezhen porcelain uses kaolin and porcelain stone, while Cizhou kiln mainly uses white soil, white alkali, green soil, etc. Naturally, these soils are not necessarily only used in these places, just like kaolin, which is available all over the world, but whether the soil is excellent or not.
Now Wang Hua is in a difficult situation when facing this problem. First of all, Gongxian may not have the soil he needs, but he must identify it himself. There are no scientific instruments now, and even if some soils are very similar in appearance, they may not be the soil he needs. The appearance is similar, but the chemical components contained in it may not be similar, so the fired porcelain body must be very different.
Wang Hua used a local method. I didn't look for it in Gongxian, but went to the kiln sites to find the soil and tried it after I came back. Although it increased the cost, it also increased the success rate. There is another reason, because the cost increased, and there was an excuse to sell it at a good price. At the same time, because he searched for soil everywhere, the formula was not easy to get.
Here, Wang Hua did not intend to announce all the recipes stupidly. Especially these two trips to Luoyang made him realize his weakness. Although he planned to stay away from the political center, the money in his hand was so much more, which was also a powerful force.
Only by mastering more powerful power in your hands can you burn better porcelain. This is complementary.
Another greater difficulty is the preparation of glaze colored materials. Yuan blue and white porcelain became precious only because of its rareness. But in terms of ornamental value, those colored porcelains from Qingming are still the highest level of porcelain. This is also Wang Hua's personal prejudice. In fact, some monochrome porcelains produced in the Ming and Qing Dynasties are also good products. However, Wang Hua himself is good at painting and is also good at making colored porcelain, and prefers colored porcelain a little more.
But these recipes, like Wang Hua, were all taken confidential measures. Some recipes were passed down, and some recipes disappeared forever in the long river of history. Only a few lucky porcelain recipes were studied and reissued by later generations.
Here it is divided into two parts: glaze and color. Glaze refers to glass-like substances covering porcelain. Porcelain color is a color seasoning that draws various patterns on porcelain glaze. Similarly, porcelain color requirements are very strict. This is not the kind of seasoning for painting, but various color ingredients that need to be fired and still adsorbed on porcelain and never fade.
In short, Wang Hua was ambitious, but he chose a long and difficult road.
Since we chose to fire Song porcelain first, we must also decide the types of fire. The five famous porcelains in Song porcelain, Ding, Guan, Ru, Ge, Jun, Dingzhou ruins have been confirmed. They were founded in Quyang, Hebei, and developed rapidly in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty. However, the official kiln, because the Yellow River broke many times, has not been confirmed. Some say it is Ru kiln, but like the Gongxian kilns in the present, there are private ones and official ones. Some say it is private ones and official ones. Some say it is in Bianjing, and some say it is in Hangzhou. Wang Hua automatically gave up, and scientists in his previous life could not solve it. In the Tang Dynasty, he wanted to guess the exact place of the official kilns in the Later Song Dynasty?
Ru Kiln was founded even later in Linru County, Henan, until the Song Dynasty appeared. Jun Kiln, the site is in Yu County, Henan, and is a northern celadon system. It was founded in the Tang Dynasty. However, the same technology was entered into a period of rapid development in the Northern Song Dynasty. Ge Kiln was the latest. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the two brothers of the Zhang family in Zhejiang burned "iron bones" and "hundred rubbish-breaks" and became famous overseas. However, because it was too far away, Wang Hua automatically gave up. Although the eel blood ice cracks in Ge Kiln porcelain made him salivate.
In addition to these five famous kilns, there are Cizhou Kiln, Yaozhou Kiln, Dengfeng Kiln, Jingxiu Kiln, and the Longquan Kiln in the south. The Yue Kiln, Jian Kiln, Jizhou Kiln, Quanzhou Kiln, Chaozhou Kiln, etc. It is worth noting here that the porcelain kilns in Jingdezhen finally began to be released with a strong momentum in the Song Dynasty!
However, just like the reason for Ge Kiln, the porcelain kilns in the south and Yaozhou kilns were automatically given up due to distance. In the end, Wang Hua still placed his sight on the four major porcelain kilns of Ding, Ru, Jun and Mag. But he had to choose only one of them first.
After Wang Hua finally considered it repeatedly, he chose Ding Kiln.
There is a reason for this.
