Sun Simiao: "Yes!"

At that time, Sun Simiao only answered two words "加" and did not explain much about Mei Zhenyi, who had just started to become a disciple. Now, Mei Zhenyi will have to go to the hell of reincarnation in person, both for the sake of bringing back and for his own practice.

Mei Zhenyi did not go straight to the air gate alone, but sent Mei Dadong a day in advance. Zhao Qiming led dozens of family members to Jiulin Zen Temple to send prayers, "notifying" that he was about to come to incense the next day and delivered items from the temple.

The incense donation this time was filled with three major trucks: one was rice, white flour, vegetable oil, soybeans, fruits and vegetables and other food used by monks, which were all top tributes. One truck was monk's robes, monk's socks, monk's shoes, monk's hats and other daily necessities. Each monk in Jiulin Zen Temple had two sets. The other car was worshipped with silver, copper coins, incense candles, brocades, glazed glasses, lotus lanterns and other Buddhist goods.

Three large carts were parked outside the gate of Jiulin Zen Temple. After paying the gifts, the things were given after the gifts were given. However, the Mei family members did not leave. They swept the open space outside the temple, lit sandalwood and were on duty overnight to welcome Mr. Mei the next day. In fact, the outside of Jiulin Zen Temple was cleaned. Mei Zhenyi was going to come to incense and persuade all the idle people to leave.

At dawn the next day, Mei Zhenyi took a carriage to the gate of Jiulin Zen Temple. The carriage was as luxurious as the horse, and there was no second one in Manwuzhou. Everything was ready for the incense. Mei Zhenyi did not bring anyone, and walked into the empty door with the monk who was greeted in front of the temple gate. He glared at Maitreya like a glance in front of the door, but still bowed his head and bowed his hand.

A "great donor" came to the temple. The monks lined up on both sides of the courtyard to greet each other. The new abbot Qiao Jue stepped forward and said, "The donor plums are generous, and the monks in the temple are admired. The people in the city praise him. I am grateful to the donor's house!"

Mei Zhenyi also bowed her head and bowed: "The offering of only three chariots is insignificant, and there is a gift in front of the Bodhisattva's seat. I hope Master Qiao Jue will follow the method of guiding the cause."

The layout of Jiulin Zen Temple was introduced in the previous article. Through the mountain gate, there is a patio covered with bluestone. Eaves on all sides gather. There is a large round bluestone on the ground in the middle. The center of the circle is slightly sunken and there are two symmetrical holes on it. There is a hidden well below that connects to the ground veins. The wellhead is very narrow and sealed by round stones. The spiritual sense is far-reaching.

The main hall has a more unique layout. I may not see the same temple when I travel around the world. It does not have the "Mahara Temple" that worships the Buddhas of the Three Ages. The narrow and long hall is naturally separated into two fronts and backs through clever design.

Eighteen golden-body arhats are shaped on both sides of the back hall, nine on the left and right. In the middle is Sakyamuni Buddha, and in the corners of both walls are two Bodhisattvas, Manjushri and Samantabhadra, riding a green lion and a white elephant. Above is also an attic-shaped corridor, and statues of the inheritance of Zen ancestors from all generations are hung on the railings of the corridor.

The portrait on the front of Mei Zhenyi was blank when she came to the ground last time, and Huineng stood under the portrait and talked to Zhishen. Decades later, he revisited the old place. The portrait depicts the image of Huineng sitting on Dayu Ridge, which is opposite to the preaching picture of Sakyamuni Lingshan, the front of the right.

The order in which Qiao Jue led Mei Zhenyi to incense was also interesting. He first went directly to the back hall to incense to Buddha, Manjushri, Samantabhadra, and the eighteen Arhats, and then bowed to the Zen ancestors of all generations one by one. The portrait was hung in the air, and there was no incense table in front of him. Mei Zhenyi just bowed respectfully. However, when he arrived in front of Huineng, he knelt on the ground with great tribute.

"Master Mei is not a Buddhist disciple, why did he ritualize the Sixth Patriarch's statue?" Qiao Jue asked from the side.

Mei Zhenyi replied: "I was destined to be there, and I received guidance from Master Huineng."

After entering the back hall, the incense returned to the front hall. The layout of this place was different from that time, and it was completed in the past three days. There were a row of high-level positions on both sides of the front hall, and the statues above were the Ten Palaces of Yanjun: King Guang of Qin, King Jiang of Chu, Emperor Song, King of Five Characters, King of Yan Luo, King of Biancheng, King of Taishan, King of Urban, King of Equality, and King of Rotary Rotation. Five on the left and right, all wearing bead curtains, beams, crowns, and brocades.

There is a Bodhisattva enshrined on the altar in the middle. A banner is hanging from the caisson in the hall above. The four big words "The Master of the Netherworld" are written on it. It turns out that this place is the temple of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The brocade curtains on the left and right say "Hell is not empty" and "I will not become a Buddha." This is the great wish made by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The entire hall is deep and has no windows on both sides. Only two dim oil lamps are lit on the altar, which also looks very gloomy in broad daylight.

Bodhisattvas need to fulfill their "great vows" when achieving Buddhahood. This is different from the "great vows" of achieving Bodhisattva fruit. What is the great merit of achieving Buddhahood? It is so great in the world! It is difficult to express it directly clearly. You can give an example to illustrate that the great vows of the Mahayana Heavenly Achieves the Bodhisattva fruit is "the great practice of Mahayana Buddhism in the Middle Land", while the great vows of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to achieve Buddhahood are "not empty in hell, and he will not become a Buddha."

When he arrived at the statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Qiao Jue lit the incense in his hand on the oil lamp and handed it to Mei Zhenyi, and said, "Mr. Mei is not a Buddhist disciple, so he can bow and bow, so there is no need to force him to bow."

The monks accompanying him were surprised to hear this. Qiao Jue changed his words to Mr. Mei instead of calling him Mr. Mei. He also said that he was not a Buddhist disciple and did not have to force him to bow. Which is the principle of this? He even bowed to Huineng statue just now. Now when he came to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, how could he not bow? He worshipped the money and property in the temple, and wasn’t he pious enough to be respectful to the Buddha?

Mei Zhenyi was not surprised. She smiled slightly and still knelt on the cushion to bow, but she performed a great gift from Taoism to apprentice teachers - this is what respect and asking for advice.

His practice of "Lingshan Mind Method" is close to the extreme. He can sense that the statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in front of him is indeed attached to the spiritual consciousness, and is completely one and the monk Qiao Jue beside him. This abbot Qiao Jue is Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. His deity leads the chakra to the world and worships the Bodhisattva as if he worships Qiao Jue.

After the ceremony, Mei Zhenyi asked, "I want to ask the master for the secret method of practicing. Can I just talk about it in private?"

Qiao Jue nodded, waved his hand and ordered all the monks to leave the hall and retreat into the backyard. The entire hall and the courtyard outside the hall became empty, and the gate of Jiulin Zen Temple was also closed. Qiao Jue looked at him and asked, "Mr. Mei came to the door to incense with lily. Please tell me if you have anything to do."

Mei Zhenyi: "Yesterday, the master saved all the ghosts and gods in the mountains and entered the cycle of reincarnation. This is a great merit, but I, the general manager of Qingyi Sanshan Cave Heaven, was also taken into the hell of reincarnation. I came to ask the master to release her back."

Qiao Jue laughed: "The hell you talk about in the cycle of reincarnation actually refers to the underworld. The cycle of reincarnation is irreversible, so how can you say it back?" While speaking, he was accompanied by the wisdom and supernatural powers of the Śrāvakas, accompanied by divine thoughts—

You also know that rescuing lonely ghosts and ghosts into the samsara is a merit. Since there is no difference between sentient beings, there is no difference between Yin God, whether your home or other people's homes. Today you find a reason, and tomorrow he finds a reason, will the Yin God all stay in the world? This is impossible. Since Yin God enters the underworld, the matter of reincarnation is irreversible.

Mei Zhenyi explained: "She has already achieved success in her practice since she was born in her life, so she really doesn't have to enter." At the same time, she was also accompanied by the wisdom and supernatural powers of the Śrāvakas -

She is not a lonely ghost who is usually inspired by one's own soul. She is a spiritual god with practice. She has long had the ability to break the delusion. Although she died suddenly and has now broken through the limit of the year before her death, she can continue to practice in the human world. If she fails to practice for a lifetime, she has nothing to say to enter the samsara, but if she mistakenly enters the underworld like now, she should not and does not need to.

Qiao Jue still smiled and said, "There is no distinction between me and no distinction between the world." He used his divine thoughts like this-

What do you do? Can you still distinguish between a ghost with practice and a ghost without practice in the samsara? It is just a lifelong reincarnation, and the Yin God has an obsession with it. It is really difficult to avoid it. Staying in the world is really hard to survive. Restraining in the world is rebirth, and then practicing in the next life is the right way. No one in this world wants the people close to him to leave, but this is the case in the samsara of sentient beings, and it is not something I can change.

Mei Zhenyi pointed to the brocade curtains on both sides of the Bodhisattva statue and asked, "What do you say about this great aspiration?" The divine thoughts sent out - since it is not something you can change, then where does the saying "hell is not empty, and you will not become a Buddha" come from?

"You will know when you enter the underworld." Qiao Jue answered seven words, and the divine thoughts he sent out this time became complicated, and it rolled in to contain multiple layers of artistic conception-

First, he told Mei Zhenyi. With your cultivation level, you cannot fully understand the meaning of this state. Only after you experience it yourself can you know what is going on. Secondly, he explained the moment of all beings entering the reincarnation land, and finally explained why Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is known as the leader of the Netherworld and what does the Netherworld mean?

Any spiritual being in the world, whose soul is clear and unobstructed in the moment of death in one lifetime, is also called the light of the bardo. The experiences of this life will flash in the spiritual Taichung. This is not just a simple memory, but a strange "clear" state is presented one by one.

For example, someone once had a crush on a girl when he was a teenager, but he thought that the other party would not like him and never expressed it. Only now did he realize that the girl was also as thoughtful as him back then. Do you regret it? But he was already "dead".

For example, when someone said something back then, he never understood it, and understood goodwill as malice, and now he realized it was a misunderstanding.

For example, someone has harmed him, but he has been kept in the dark and treated his enemies as friends. At this time, Lingtaichung has returned to all kinds of experiences and suddenly realized that he was framed by someone.

There is no need to explain this in detail. This moment is a lifetime, and the soul is clear and clear, but it is only a sigh of relief. Therefore, the legend in the world says that after death, people will walk on the "Naihe Bridge", and the word "Naihe" comes from this. How can the spiritual platform of mortals who are about to die withstand this impact? After a lifetime of Qingming flashes, all memories are washed away from ordinary spiritual consciousness, and only unforgettable things are imprinted into the "Alaya consciousness", or in the state of the sea of ​​suffering, and then return to the cycle of reincarnation of heaven and earth.

There are various traces of the previous life in the realm of suffering in the deep state of the spiritual platform, but they are just invisible to this state.

The so-called lonely ghost is the Yin God who is residing in the world. Before entering the samsara, there was no such experience of "brightness in the bardo" before entering the samsara, and it was still in the obsession that could not be eliminated in a lifetime. For example, Tiao Liuzhuan kept thinking: "Did I fall down from the cliff, or did someone push me behind my back?" Later, it even forgot its name, and had not figured out this problem. Before he knew it, the Zhang family and the Li family had become a habit to find out all kinds of news.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva transformed into a dark world in Lingtaichung with his incredible supernatural powers. This is similar to the fairy world opened up by the golden immortals in the boundless mysterious world, but it is not the fairy world, but another kind of transformation and transformation effort made with great aspirations. It seems that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva made great sacrifices. Who would like to transform the world in Lingtai to look like this? This is his kalpa of attaining Buddhahood and his wish to achieve Buddhahood.

There is a saying that goes, "I don't go to hell. Who goes to hell?" Some people may not understand. It is not easy to go to hell. Just kill someone and set fire. What is worth promoting? This is actually a misunderstanding. It refers to the great compassion, selfless and ambitious wish of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

The biggest difference between the so-called Netherworld and the Immortal World is that the Immortal World is the place where you ascend or rebirth to transcend the cycle of reincarnation, while the Netherworld is the place where you can reincarnate in the whole life. In the world of Ksitigarbha, within the great supernatural powers, the spirits who have left the world are directly connected to the "Netherworld Light Realm", and at the same time, you can also introduce lonely souls and ghosts into the Netherworld and then enter the Reincarnation.

The Netherworld covers everything you see in the Light Realm of the Middle Dynasty, but there are other experiences. As for what it is, Monk Qiao Jue did not say in his divine thoughts, and Mei Zhenyi only knew it after going.

However, Mei Zhenyi understood one thing. There are two possibilities about Ti Liuzhu's situation. One is that this little ghost has entered the cycle of reincarnation again. That can only wish her good luck in the next life. The second possibility is that Ti Liuzhu's experience in the Netherworld is like Mei Zhenyi's experience in Naiheyuan. This little ghost has now reached its cultivation level, and it is an opportunity at this moment.

If Ti Liuzhuo succeeded in experiencing the sea of ​​suffering in the Netherworld, she had two choices. One was to leave with her spiritual memory, and the other was to take her back in the Netherworld and others, and she was still the Yin God Earth Immortal. Mei Zhenyi knew Ti Liuzhuo very well, and this little ghost would not be willing to take the initiative to leave. She must have wanted to return to Qingyi Sanshan as she is now, and she had already agreed with Mei Zhenyi to reshape the furnace and cauldron.

Mei Zhenyi thought about this and told Qiao Jue these thoughts with divine thoughts, and at the same time said, "I would like to enter the underworld and bring her back."

"Why do you enter?" Qiao Jue did not use the wisdom and supernatural powers of the Śrāvaka this time, but simply asked four words.

What does this question mean? If someone runs outside the White House, waves and shouts: "Obama, come out! I want to tell you about the international situation." The idea may be good, but why? Talking about this condition with Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is to talk about the law of fate. On the one hand, you must have this qualification, on the other hand, you must have this cultivation, and on the other hand, you must know how to enter and exit the underworld.

For Mei Zhenyi at this time, he did not meet all three conditions, but he had his own solutions.

Without answering, he walked out of the hall with great strides, turned around and stood firmly above the unfathomable hidden well in the middle of the courtyard, took out a small black banner from his arms, and shook his body. The black banner in his hand shook more than one meter long. The wind blew everywhere in the courtyard. There was thick fog in the banner like black clouds, and countless hazy figures swayed, making strange sounds that made people sour.

The black air spread out to cover the sun and poured into the hall. Mei Zhenyi sacrificed a magic weapon soul refining banner that had never been used in thirty-eight years. This was the relics obtained by Sun Simiao from Yao Daoming Chongyan. He was given to Mei Zhenyi when he asked about ghosts and gods on Feijin Peak.

Mei Zhenyi drove Ming Chongyan to enter the countless souls in the banner, surrounding Monk Qiao Jue, a space is like hell on earth. But to outsiders, it is funny to play this magic in front of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. Isn’t it as much as giving side dishes?

Mei Zhenyi wanted to "send vegetables". He released these souls and did not attack, but said respectfully: "In this banner, the demon Taoist used evil magic to collect the earth's souls, and he would not be able to enter the suffering of reincarnation. I hope the master will be compassionate and use his great magical power to cross into the underworld."

This request was something that Monk Qiao Jue could not refuse. Mei Zhenyi thought of as the method of entering the underworld was the same as that of Ti Liuzhu. Ti Liuzhu was chasing the ghosts and gods all over the mountain into the ground with the body of the Yin God. Now Mei Zhenyi was about to transform into a yang god and go in with these living souls.

Qiao Jue flashed and came to Mei Zhenyi, sighed and asked, "Why are you coming out?"

Mei Zhenyi replied: "The Yang God's incarnation has been transformed out, and this banner has the magical use of protecting the gods." The Yang God's incarnation has been a state of cultivation that he has not been able to overcome for many years. It seems that he cannot come out without realizing his practice.

"Look at my eyes." Qiao Jue said four words, and countless souls around him disappeared. Mei Zhenyi's body and cauldron were still standing in its original place, but the soul refining banner in his hand was gone. It can be called a magical weapon with the change of divine thoughts. The soul refining banner is also a magical weapon. It was brought into the underworld by Mei Zhenyi's Yang Shen, and the banner surface has turned pure white at this time.

Of course, when entering and leaving the underworld, you cannot use the body of a mortal body. Mei Zhenyi enters with the yang spirit, and at the same time, expands the soul refining banner to protect himself. If he cannot break the transformation of the incarnation, it is impossible to bring back the slightest and turn back, and it will be difficult for him to come back. After receiving the guidance of Mingyue, Mei Zhenyi realized the mind method of sentient beings, and was only a little bit short of reincarnation and knowledge, so he entered the underworld without leaving a way out.

The souls in the yard had just disappeared, and Mei Zhenyi's body and cauldron were standing there as if she had entered into meditation. A little girl said in a voice: "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, he has entered!"

A little girl walked out of the mountain gate hall, wrinkled her little nose and spoke crisply. The powerful Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Qiao Jue was slightly stunned and bowed with one hand and said, "This fairy boy, you are the bright moon, right?"

Mingyue: "Yes, I am Mingyue. I was standing in front of the Maitreya statue at the mountain gate just now and was blocked. You never saw me."

Qiao Jue looked at Mingyue and nodded repeatedly, "The spiritual platform is born without stain, no wonder we didn't find you just now. What's wrong with the fairy boy coming here?"

Of course, Mingyue is not as powerful as Qiao Jue, but her cultivation state of mind is another extreme, not affected by the gloomy and dark aura. Standing on the other side of the Maitreya statue in the mountain gate hall, Qiao Jue cannot detect it if he does not search deliberately.

Mingyue pointed at Mei Zhenyi and said, "I don't like your place. I sent him here. Now I'm looking after the furnace and cauldron to wait for him to come back. Let me tell you, Mei Zhenyi is very particular about doing things. She has not finished bringing it back yet. After he comes back, he will definitely have something to talk to you. Brother Qingfeng asked me to be a witness too."
