Chapter 127: Prajnapala laughs when he hears it, and still recites the Heart Sutra in the courtroom
Chapter 127, Prajna Paramita laughed at him, and the court still recited the Heart Sutra
Mei Zhenyi also saw this scene while standing behind her father. She felt a little funny and emotional. How arrogant Xue Huaiyi was in Nanxiahe Market. Now she was beaten in Nanya, how humble she was begging for mercy.
The saint said, "My way is consistent." Many people often boast that no matter what they do or under what circumstances, they can be consistent in their own behavior without being humble or arrogant. It is easy to say, but can they really do it?
If you can really do it, even if you don’t have the cultivation level of the Great Cheng Zhenren, it will be close to the state of mind of the Great Cheng Zhenren. The actions in the world may not be just magical powers and magic. Walking, sitting, lying, and lying is all about practicing.
Xue Huaiyi only has a good face, so why would Empress Wu fall in love with him? On the north bank of the Yellow River a few night ago, Mei Zhenyi peeped at Empress Wu and Mr. Sui's battle with him, and knew that this person's cultivation level had reached the extreme of worldly law, and his cultivation level and mental state were one. For example, if he did not have the state of mind of the Great Cheng Zhenren, there was no need to talk about the cultivation level of the Great Cheng Zhenren, let alone the divine transformation.
Su Liangsi was also angry and didn't want to really break the person. He waved his hand and said, "Forget it, drag that guy out."
Xue Huaiyi was dragged out of the Nanya in a miserable state, and his subordinates helped him up, looking like he was bruised and swollen. Xue Huaiyi was so aggrieved and angry that he didn't wash his face and changed his clothes, and went straight to the palace to ask Empress Wu for complaint.
Su Liangsi and Mei Xiaolang certainly knew that Xue Huaiyi was going to go to the palace to complain, but they didn't take it seriously. After a few words, they were still busy with their own things, as if nothing had happened just now. Aren't they afraid of the Queen of Martial Arts blamed me? Mei Zhenyi looked aside and understood that these two prime ministers were really not afraid.
The boss of a company has a little lover outside. He occasionally has a secret role, but the little lover broke into the company's board of directors and was taught a lesson by two executive directors. Who can blame this? Only the little lover himself is unpredictable. If the boss is a sensible person, he can only thank these two executive directors. If the boss is a confused person, then he will not be able to sit firmly on the position of boss of this company.
Mei Zhenyi could see clearly, but Xue Huaiyi couldn't figure it out, and she still had nosebleeds. So she went straight to the Forbidden Palace to meet Empress Wu.
Empress Wu was reviewing the memorial in the imperial study room, and heard outside the door that Master Xue was coming. Then a bald monk with disheveled clothes and a bruised nose rushed into the door and rushed to his feet and cried, "Empress... that old man Su Liangsi... dares to hit me!" At this time, Xue Huaiyi already knew who the local man was beating him.
"Shi, why did he hit you?" Empress Wu reached out and helped him up and asked softly. The two words "Shi" were the favorite name of Empress Wu for Xue Huaiyi.
"I went to Nanya to find Zong Chuke for something, but I saw that Old Man Su was rude. I just said a few words to him... You see, they beat me up, Mei Xiaolang also took action." Seeing that Empress Wu was gentle, Xue Huaiyi rolled into her arms while saying that.
If Mei Zhenyi was present at this time, she would be shocked to see Empress Wu. She always smiled softly, like a little woman talking in front of her lover. She felt that she was the same person as Empress Wu who fought with Mr. Sui in the sky in the night, but she was not the same person at all.
Xue Huaiyi was waiting for Empress Wu to vent her anger, but Empress Wu reached out to help him up. She still had a charming smile, but she said in anger: "Master is only suitable to go in and out of the north gate, and the prime minister of the South Yai, how can we offend each other?"
This gentle sentence was like a bucket of cold water. Xue Huaiyi was completely dissipated and he never dared to find anyone's bad luck. Not only did Empress Wu not blame Su Liangsi, but instead accused Xue Huaiyi of playing the wrong place. Although his tone was very gentle, as if he was talking about a naughty child who caused trouble, Xue Huaiyi did not dare to cry anymore.
Seeing Xue Huaiyi's appearance, Empress Wu smiled and said, "You will not go to that kind of place in the future. Sansi said that you have clever ideas, so I will order you to supervise the construction of a Mingtang in the palace. It would be convenient to have an errand to do it, so as not to make a mess outside."
Slap him a date and ask Xue Huaiyi to undertake the royal key project. He has something to do and has good fortune, so as to avoid making trouble outside. The high-ranking officials and powerful officials from ancient times, China and abroad have mostly arranged similar methods to get close to people, and even Empress Wu was no exception. Xue Huaiyi became proud again and thanked Empress Wu like a spoiled person.
Empress Wu reached out and touched his face: "Master, why don't you finish your appearance when you enter the palace? You haven't even shave your hair? Go back and clean up quickly. I'll send someone to the Winter Department to pass an order and order them to find someone to help you with your preparation."
Empress Wu said that Xue Huaiyi had not tidied up her appearance, not only because he had a bruised nose, but because his beard and bald head were not shaved in time, and even the hair was exposed. She really didn't look like the Lord of the White Horse Temple. Xue Huaiyi was surprised when he touched his head. This bald head was shaved yesterday, so how could it grow so fast? After receiving the order, he hurriedly left, went back to wash his face, put plaster, shave his head, shave his beard, and change his clothes.
On that day, two decrees were heard from the palace. One was to order Xue Huaiyi, the leader of the White Horse Temple, to enter the palace to supervise the construction of the Mingtang, and the other was to hear that Feng Sixu, the censor of the Right Su Zhengtai, was injured and rewarded with tens of thousands of dollars for commendation.
Some ministers were also confused or deliberately searching for trouble. When the winter official made the tribute, Wang Qiuli heard that Empress Wu appointed a monk to build the palace, he wrote a letter to ask Empress Wu to cast Xue Huaiyi to avoid damaging the palace. Empress Wu ignored it, while Mei Xiaolang and others were angry and funny, so they pretended that they didn't know, and this matter was fooled.
On the morning of the next morning, after discussing daily government affairs, Empress Wu asked: "What else do you have to report to your family?"
Wu Chengsi came out and said, "In recent years, Yangzhou has been in chaos, and the moon has eclipsed the entire moon, and the people in the world are talking about it. Some people even took the opportunity to deceive the public and confuse the strange ambitions. I asked the Empress of Heaven to issue an imperial edict to open up the world's broad channels of speech, receive the world's comments, and follow the examples of ancient sages who have heard and accepted advice, so as to punish evil and promote good."
Mei Xiaolang went out to speak: "The censors at the left and right sides of the government and the state heard the news and evaluated all officials in the world. This dynasty has customized the rules, so why did they issue another ethics?"
Wu Chengsi shook his head and said, "The censor will inevitably miss all officials. Moreover, the common people are afraid of the powerful and often dare not stand up when encountering problems. My suggestion is to allow the people in the world to submit letters anonymously."
Mei Xiaolang wanted to say something else, but Empress Wu waved her hand on the seat and said, "The country has no customs. If you serve the people, you should establish it. Chengsi and submit anonymously, what should I do?"
Wu Chengsi gave a wink to the side, and the censor Yu Chengye came out to report: "The son of the minister, Yu Bao family, has always been skillful and designed something for the empress dowager. It is called Tongtu, and is now waiting for the imperial edict outside the hall. If the empress dowager is interested, please invite him to come to the court to demonstrate."
Empress Wu: "Transfer an order to meet."
Mei Xiaolang saw Wu Chengsi and Yu Chengye sang together, and Empress Wu agreed very happily. He knew that this incident had probably been discussed for a long time, so he returned to the class and stopped talking.
It was not long since Yu Bao's family walked into the hall door with a wooden box. The wooden box was a sample of a copper trunk. It had four grids inside and had four submission ports, which looked a bit like a modern postal box. When the submission letter was sent, it could not be opened without a special key and could not be taken out.
Yu Bao's family also gave the four grids a very nice name. The one in the east is called "Tingen", which specializes in verses and chanting poems. Those who are talented and do not meet can seek advancement; the one in the south is called "Zhi Gui", which writes a letter to talk about the gains and losses of the government; the one in the west is called "Striving Injustice". Those who complain about wronged can submit papers; the one in the north is called "Tongxuan", which can write to the letter to complain about all kinds of good and bad things.
Empress Wu was very interested in hearing this. When the court issued an order to build it and prepare to stand in front of the palace gate, the people could submit anonymous letter. She was very happy and appointed Yu Bao's family as the fifth-rank winter officer. Yu Bao's family was happy to receive the reward, but did not go to the palace for the time being, and retreated to the end of the court officials.
After the discussion, the Qiu official waited for the man Jiang Hua to report: "Mei Zhenyi, the Wei of Wuzhou, came to the imperial edict. He had already been to Wenchangtai yesterday and was listening to the proclamation outside the hall."
Empress Wu Zhan Yan smiled: "It turns out that he is the son of the Mei family. I have heard of his name for a long time. I will announce him to the palace."
Mei Zhenyi went to the hall, bowed and bowed in a regular manner, and stood with his hands down after flattening. This was the first time he had met Wu Zetian in the historical legend, and couldn't help but quietly raise his eyes and look at it carefully. He saw that the woman with hairpin ring was charming and charming. It was said that she was not young anymore, but she still had bright eyes and white teeth without any old appearance.
Mei Zhenyi had a very strange feeling. Although the woman in front of her was charming, she was invisibly powerful without anger. She sat there, as if she was naturally the center of the entire hall inside and outside, not just because of her location. This person does have an imperial spirit. Mei Zhenyi has seen many people from childhood, but she has never seen such momentum in a woman.
What made him even more strange was that it was not exactly the same as seeing the Martial Empress from afar a few days ago. She was obviously alone, but she seemed to have changed her own person. He couldn't tell where the difference was. However, she did not feel the pressure of the vast powers of the day in her spiritual sense.
He secretly glanced at Empress Wu, and Empress Wu was also looking at him. As soon as he saw Mei Zhenyi, he quickly lowered his head. He only heard Empress Wu ask, "You young man, you have entered the palace for the first time and came to the main hall. How dare you not keep looking up at Ai's house?"
Hearing her question, Mei Zhenyi simply looked up and replied, "The queen is dignified and has never seen her in the world, so she can't even look at her eyes."
Empress Wu smiled, laughing happily, and asked back with a deliberately teasing him, "Justice's Censor, just now, went to the hall and answered in front of my seat for a long time, but she didn't dare to look up and take a look. Why is this? Don't he want to see the appearance of this palace?"
Standing at the last court official Yu Bao's house, he was frightened when he heard this. The wooden box in his hand almost fell. Mei Zhenyi said to him: "The queen is unparalleled and has never been seen in the world, so Mr. Yu dare not look at him."
Empress Wu nodded and smiled very charmingly: "At a young age, I can answer calmly. It's not easy. Mei Zhenyi, you have made great contributions in Wuzhou, what rewards do you want? I heard that you have both civil and military affairs and have the style of being a father. So how about staying in the palace and being a general in garrison?"
This smile made Mei Zhenyi feel a little embarrassed. He said to himself: "Why did Empress Wu look at me with such eyes? You shouldn't you look at me as handsome, right? Let me enter the palace as a guard, can you be her male favorite like Xue Huaiyi? This is absolutely impossible!"
He felt scared but his expression remained unchanged. He said calmly: "I am the descendant of the robe and bowl of Sun Simiao, and also appointed Mr. Donghua Zhongli Quan as his teacher. He had long been determined to be a Taoist. Sun Zhenren did not want to enter the court to become an official, and he followed the teacher's instructions, nor did he want to enter the court."
In desperation, he brought out his master Sun Simiao, and everyone in the world knew that Taizong and Gaozong had recruited Sun Simiao to the court to be granted official positions, but Sun Zhenren refused. Mei Zhenyi refused in this way. She didn't seem rude, which sounded natural.
Empress Wu was not angry, but still nodded and smiled, "You have the intention toward Taoism? Very good. I heard that you always live in Qiyun Temple in Wuzhou, and Princess Yuzhen often visited Taoism in the temple after becoming a monk. Is she okay?"
As soon as he heard this, Mei Zhenyi understood the local affairs between Princess Yuzhen and him, and Empress Wu was also very happy. She could only pretend to answer: "Master Jiying practices in Wuzhou, everything is fine, and she prays for the Empress every day."
Wu Empress: "It's hard to bother with this child!... Mei Xiaolang is good at teaching his children. He rewards six pairs of jade bi and grants his third son Mei Zhenyu as Tongzhilang... Mei Zhenyi, you should step down."
Empress Wu praised Mei Xiaolang and the third brother of Mei Zhenyi, but he was not awarded him. Who told Mei Zhenyi that she claimed to be willing to be a Taoist and did not want to enter the court? Moreover, Princess Yuzhen asked him to abduct him. If you get the advantage, don't behave like it anymore.
Mei Xiaolang stepped forward to thank him. Mei Zhenyi took the initiative to retreat to the end of the court officials and stood opposite Yu Bao's house. At this time, Empress Wu remembered something and waved her hand and said, "Xuanfazhou is coming to the palace. How is the Ai family wanting to hear his scriptures?"
It turned out that the little monk Fazhou had already entered the capital, and Empress Wu didn't remember to see him until now. Not long after the order was sent, a bald monk who seemed to be in his teens walked into the hall and came to the middle to perform Buddhist rituals to Empress Wu. Empress Wu saw that there was no anger on his face. He just asked lightly: "Dazhou, someone told you to incite the monks in Chang'an to resist the order, is there such a thing?"
Fazhou shook his head straight: "There is absolutely nothing. It's because someone can't argue. He deliberately slandered and framed it. The queen of heaven should not listen to slander."
Empress Wu: "I already know the words you said, and I don't want to believe the same words. I will be ordered to come to God. Do you still remember what the imperial edict said?"
Fazhou: "Of course, the little monk remembers that the imperial edict said, 'What scripture does Fazhou recite on weekdays? If you can recite this sutra to avoid the sin of disrespect, please come to Luoyang to face the priest and recite the sutra. If you cannot avoid it, please accept the crime by yourself.' So I came."
Empress Wu's face sank: "Since you are here, you have any sutras. Just recite it!"
The Dharma Zhou cleared his throat and looked around, looking a little funny. He only heard him recite aloud: "When the Empress Wu Tian practiced the deep Prajna Paramita, he saw that the five aggregates were empty and overcome all sufferings. Sariya, the form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form, form is emptiness, emptiness is form. The feeling, thinking, action and consciousness are the same. Sariya is the empty appearance of all dharmas, neither born nor destroyed, neither dirty nor purified, neither increasing nor decreasing, so there is no form in the air, without feeling, thinking, action and consciousness..."
The fundamental Buddhist Mahayana sutra, the Great Prajna Paramita Sutra, abbreviated as the Great Prajna Sutra, was obtained by Master Xuanzang and personally translated into Chinese. It is a total of 16 different volumes, 600 volumes, and more than 4.8 million words. The Heart Sutra, which outlines the entire outline of the Prajna Sutra, is called the Heart Sutra, only 260 words, but it is the core and essence of the Prajna theory and is also the general formula for practicing the deep Prajna Heart Method of Buddhism.
The 260-character Heart Sutra translated by Xuanzang are extremely concise in language, with smooth and elegant rhetoric, profound and profound and profound meanings. They are all classics in the history of religion, thought and literature. It was widely circulated in the Tang Dynasty. Empress Wu admired Buddhism. Even if the ministers in the court did not understand Buddhism, they knew this Heart Sutra, and almost most people could recite it.
The scriptures recited by Fazhou are the Heart Sutra, but the first three words have been changed and "Avalokitesvara" has been changed to "Empress Wu Tian".
When he was reciting the scriptures, he first recited the first five words "Wu Tianhou Bodhisattva". The ministers at the court were stunned and wondered what the little monk meant. Fazhou paused, and then continued to recite the following scriptures. Everyone suddenly realized that the little monk was chanting the "Heart Sutra" that everyone knew.
A pleasant laugh came from the court. It was Empress Wu himself. Not only was she amused by the Dharma Zhou, but she also laughed out loud. The ministers looked at the funny appearance of the little monk and heard him recite this strange scripture seriously. They wanted to laugh, but they could only hold it back in front of Empress Wu. Now Empress Wu himself is laughing, so everyone doesn't have to be tense, and they all burst into laughter.
Mei Zhenyi also laughed. He taught the Dharma Zhou on the bank of the Yellow River. At this time, he found that the little monk was really a comedy genius. There was a lot of laughter in the court, and only Fa Zhou was stern and serious, and he kept reciting it word by word. No matter how you look at this serious attitude, it makes people laugh.
The laughter in the court was louder, and the sound of Dharma boat chanting could no longer be heard. Even the guards outside the palace looked at each other when they heard the laughter. I wonder what happened this morning?
