Article 3 of the first federal constitution of Mexico formulated in 1824 clearly stipulated that Mexico's state religion was and will always be Roman Catholicism, and at the same time, it prohibited other religions from activities in Mexico.

In contrast, Article 1 of the American Constitution Amendment prohibits the establishment of state religion and protects the people's religious freedom.

Clergy wear religious clothes outside the church (such as white-collar workers wearing long gowns worn by priests, etc.), and priests who are "suspected against the government" are prohibited from holding religious ceremonies; all clergy must register with government departments and only then can they hold religious ceremonies at designated times and locations after being allowed, otherwise they will be imprisoned.
