Chapter Thirteen The Truth

Subtitle of this chapter: Why did I become Lanling Xiaoxiao?

"Just when everyone thought that this mystery would not be revealed until the new century, or like the bloody murders that took place in Whitechapel (Translator's Note 1) will never find the real murderer. An unexpected turnaround appeared as the millennium came, and the original manuscript of "fifty-shades-of-grey" was donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York by an anonymous person. The identity of the mysterious author who had been incognito for nearly eighty years is finally about to be revealed...

Translator's note 1: The place where Jack the Ripper committed the crime was located in the East End of London, and it was also the slum in London at that time.

Translator's Note 2: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, metropolitan-museum-of-art is the largest art museum in the United States and a world-famous museum. It is located at 82 Street on 5th Avenue in New York, USA, and is far away from the famous American Museum of Natural History."

"But the process of revealing is too simple, too short, too dramatic, and really incredible. At that time, the director of Watson Library (Translator's Note 1) and an extremely senior British and American literary history researcher exclaimed when he saw the manuscript for the first time, saying, "God, is this book written by ny?! And ny is ny who is called 'ny-of-ny (Translator's Note 2)'..."

Translator's Note 1: The Watson Library is a department of the museum that specializes in the history of world art development. It was established in 1964. It is one of the most complete libraries for collecting art and archaeological books in the world.

Translator's note 2: ny-of-ny, new-york's neo-yuan, which was later known as the favorite name of New York citizens for this person. Neo-yuan is Mr. Yuan Yanshu, who was called "the master of the Republic of China".

"The reason why the Curator recognized the author so quickly is for two reasons. First, the red-queen in the title is the pseudonym of Mr. Yuan when he published a novel about female theme anonymously; second, it is because he recognized the handwriting of the handwriting written by the title page..."

"And he was able to recognize his handwriting so quickly belonged to ny-of-ny because he had just read the manuscript of another novel by Mr. Yuan Yanshu not long ago. Coincidentally, according to the inspection of modern instruments, both of the questions written by Master Yuan were not made of ink but were all made of food..."

"The Watson Library not only compared these two typewriting manuscripts, but also retrieved the archives of New York University. The draft of Mr. Yuan Yanshu's doctoral thesis, like the two aforementioned manuscripts, was produced by the same underwood typewriter produced in 1908. At this point, the truth finally came out to the world..."

"As for why Master Yuan could write "fifty-shades-of-grey", it reminds people of the passage he said on many occasions. When someone asked him how he became a great writer, he always answered anecdotes that had actually happened in history. A noble lady from a French province once asked Mr. Dumas how he could train his son to an outstanding writer. Dumas told this lady, Madam, please send the son to Paris and give him a large sum of money every month..."

"In view of the historical evidence that Mr. Yuan Yanshu and ms.anastasia-steele became a 'boy and girlfriend' in a sense in New York as early as 1920, as well as various groundbreaking techniques described in this novel, coupled with the distinctive characteristics of the male and female protagonists. The passage he reposted Dumas should really be his own understanding of his literary career and other careers..."

"There is another anecdote. According to the archives, a nypd accused Master Yuan and a red-haired woman of attacking him after seeing the photo of Mr. Yuan Yanshu in the newspaper. This also caused a big storm that caused a sensation in the whole of the United States, but the accusation ended up in the end..."

"There is another interesting thing at the end. Mr. Yuan Yanshu actually revealed his identity intentionally or unintentionally in the book. As we all know, Master Yuan was the first novelist to elevate science fiction novels to unprecedented levels. When writing science fiction novels, he only used one pseudonym in his life, that is grey-knight. At the same time, his attitude towards Christianity has always been very unfriendly, and he even anonymously published a considerable number of historical works that specifically expose the ugly side of Christianity. This identity has only been discovered by the world in recent years, and the pseudonym he used at that time was the antichrist..."

Translator's Note 1: The Knight of Gray, like the Queen of Red, is one of the many pseudonyms of Mr. Yuan Yanshu. After long-term search and verification, modern researchers finally confirmed that he had six pseudonyms specifically used to publish non-Chinese novels, which the researchers called "Six Colored Chess Pieces".

"In short, the hero who is suspected of demon worship and is addicted to abnormal flesh/desire is not only a true portrayal of himself, but also a satire of Christianity by Master Yuan, the "anti-Christ"..."

Translator's note: The conclusion that Mr. Yuan Yanshu is the anonymous author of "fifty-shades-of-grey" can easily remind us Chinese readers of a case in the Ming and Qing novels, that is, the true identity of Lanling Xiaoxiaosheng, the author of "Jin/Pine/Plum", and the next question may never be revealed.

However, Master Yuan has been asked the same question throughout his life, that is, why can a Chinese like him write so many classic works in English and other languages?

This is how he answers the questioner. For the author, it is enough for the reader to love his work. Just like you wouldn't mind the chef who frys a perfect steak for you is white and black, why should you consider the author's identity while enjoying reading?

--Excerpt from the preface of "Fifty Shades of Gray" in 2002 Chinese version

In the "real" history, Yuan Yanshu, who walked out of Anna's apartment building that morning, did not expect that she would become "Jack the Ripper of the English Literature" nor would she expect that she would be known as "Lanling Xiaoxiaosheng of the 20th century".

But if he knew that there were so many statements, he would definitely...it doesn't matter. Is the erotic literature master no longer a literary master?
