Chapter 53 Hate
Luo Bing opened his eyes wide and watched Lang Ri feed Haoyue water mouth to mouth until Haoyue's lips became wet. Lang Ri wiped his mouth dry and handed Luo Bing the kettle, "Thank you really, really."
Luo Bing didn't pick up the kettle, "You keep it yourself, I don't want it."
Luo Yan also walked in after finishing the work. He looked at Haoyue lying on the ground and looked at Luo Bing again. His sister's face looked ugly.
"She was very hurt, and it's all right whether she could survive."
Luo Bing and Lang Ri didn't say anything, and Haoyue was still asleep, breathing weakly, and she could hardly see the ups and downs of her body.
"Can you give me some medicine to feed me when you save me?" Lang Ri looked at Luo Bing with begging eyes. Unfortunately, Luo Bing's dark green eyes were still shining with a cold light, and she still had a expressionless face, looking directly at Lang Ri, "Why do you think I will give it to you?"
"I beg you." Langri's tone was aggravated, his voice begging.
Luo Bing let out a long breath, took out a small bottle from his arms and threw it to Lang Ri.
Langri reached out to catch the bottle, "Thank you."
"Yi Langri, I no longer owe you anything. From now on, we have nothing to do with you. Even if we meet again, it is better to be strangers. Just think I don't know you." Luo Bing's eyes were straight at Langri. Langri saw a lot of tears in her dark green eyes. She turned her head away and ran out resolutely. Luo Bing knew that she had to leave quickly. If she was late, the tears would flow down. Luo Yan followed him.
Lang Ri stood there and looked at Luo Bing's back as he walked away, unable to say a word. He was silent for a while and then looked down at Haoyue. Haoyue's pale face was like a dead person.
He bent down to lift Haoyue's body. Haoyue's neck was weak and his head was drooping. Lang Ri gently murmured in her ear, "Haoyue, it's going to be fine soon, you're fine soon."
He picked up Haoyue and let her snuggle on his shoulder for a while. He felt the familiar smell of Haoyue again. Langri smiled hard and continued to feed Haoyue medicine.
Their hidden place was on a towering cliff, a bare hilltop, a hidden cave, and there were only a few dead trees around it. From time to time, a few black crows were screaming hoarsely on the branches. At night, the moonlight hit the cave, and the sun leaned against Haoyue, who was still sleeping, and helped her wash and talk to her.
It was three days after Haoyue woke up. Lang Ri was by her side as usual. Seeing her eyelashes swelling and her eyes opened.
"Haoyue," Langri looked at her excitedly until she showed her beautiful eyes as beautiful as ever, "Are you awake?!"
Haoyue's vision became clearer from blur. She saw that the portrait in front of her gradually had a contour. The image became clear and she saw that it was bright.
The next moment, her eyes were no longer soft and she made a hoarse voice, "Yi Langri!"
Haoyue struggled to sit up. Langri was about to help her up and she pushed her away. Langri leaned back unsteadily. Haoyue saw the wolf-slaying knife next to her and held it up and pressed it against Langri's chest.
Langri did not struggle and looked at her calmly. Haoyue's eyes were filled with anger and her white eyes were covered with bloodshot.
"Haoyue," Langri called her, "Are you really going to kill me?"
Haoyue didn't say anything, the tip of the knife had already penetrated Lang Ri's skin, and blood oozed out.
"The whole wolf-slayer is almost the only two of us left." Langri paused, "I went out to find food yesterday and found the bodies of the warriors looking for water outside the wolf-slayer city. They should have encountered an ambush and were wiped out. I carried them back and buried under the mountain."
Haoyue's eyes were dazed for a moment, and she felt like a dizzy attack. She bit her lip and Langri felt her hand holding the knife begin to tremble.
"Haoyue," Langri stretched out his hand. After touching Haoyue's cold hand holding the knife, Haoyue suddenly pulled it back and fell to the ground.
Haoyue stood there in a daze, and suddenly knelt on the ground, holding her shoulders helplessly, crying with her head down.
Langri went over and tried to grab her shoulders that were trembling because of her crying.
"Don't touch me!" Haoyue made a low voice.
Langri's hand stopped, "I just want to protect you."
"Everyone is dead, dad is dead, elders are dead, tribe members are dead, and wolf-slaying tribe is dead!"
Langri didn't say anything, Haoyue kept sobbing. She suddenly saw the knife on the ground and raised it to wipe it towards her neck.
Lang Ri was shocked and grabbed the knife, and blood flowed down Lang Ri's blood.
Haoyue and Lang Ri were in a stalemate. She tried to twitch Lang Ri's tightly clenched the knife. Lang Ri firmly grasped it. The knife deeply cut his hand. The bright red blood slid out of his hand. The blood dripped on the hilt of the knife and flowed to Haoyue's hand. Lang Ri's passion did not stop Haoyue. She growled, "Let go!"
Langri held the knife and said nothing.
"I told you to let go! Yi Langri!"
"I promised the master to protect you, and I won't let you die." Langri exerted force, and the hilt of the knife trembled. Haoyue let go of his hand. Langri took back the knife stained with his blood. He turned around and tore off a cotton cloth from his clothes to bandage the wound.
Haoyue glared at Lang Ri. He turned his head, but didn't look at Haoyue's eyes, "You're hungry, I'll get you some food." Lang Ri took the knife with him and walked out.
Outside the cave, Langri rose fire, roasting the hares that were called during the day. The fire light pounded and reflected Langri's sad face. He turned around and Haoyue sat blankly in the cave. This was the first time, the two of them were not far apart but speechless.
The cold wind blew at night, and Lang Ri yelled at her. He remembered Haoyue, walked back, and handed her the roasted rabbit meat.
Haoyue pushed away without raising her head, "I won't eat."
"You want to die of a hunger strike?"
Haoyue didn't say anything and still didn't look up. Langri squatted down and stuffed the flesh into her hand, "Hold it, take it, take care of your body and wait until you become stronger, and you can kill me with your own strength."
Haoyue was stunned and looked at Langri. There was indescribable sadness in his eyes. Haoyue did not refuse food this time. She had not eaten for several days. Haoyue really swallowed while smelling the fragrant rabbit meat. Langri knew her stubbornness. She refused to eat in front of him. He left a piece of clothing on Haoyue and then retreated.
The night was very cold, and Langri, who was wearing thin clothes, could only rely on the fire to keep warm. He looked at Haoyue. She had already lie down. So he walked back and saw her hugging him and shrank into a ball of tears in his eyes. Langri felt ache in her heart, and lay behind her and hugged Haoyue for warmth.
I don’t know how long I slept, but Langri woke up rubbing his eyes and found that the bright moon in front of him was gone.
He thought he was uneasy and ran out, searching for the trace of Haoyue.
At the foot of the mountain, he saw Haoyue's figure, a few pieces of wood standing upright. Haoyue bit her finger and wrote words on the tombstone.
Langri walked over and stood firm behind her, and Haoyue did not look back and continued her affairs.
"Haoyue," Langri called her name, and she was erecting a monument to the last dead warriors of the Wolf Slayer Clan.
"They are dead, there should be a monument." Haoyue paused. Each tombstone had no name, but Haoyue wrote the words "The Unknown Warrior of the Wolf Slayer" in blood, "But I don't know who you are buried under."
Langri recalled the scene when he saw these corpses. Everyone was covered in the net and used it in a pit covered with sharp wooden stakes. His body was stabbed through and he was stabbed to death. He carefully moved them out and some of them could no longer see clearly. Naturally, he could not tell who was who was. He didn't want to tell Haoyue about the tragic situation.
Haoyue erected the last monument and inserted it on the last grave. She bowed her head and bowed to the group of graves facing the sun.
When she finished her salute, Langri was about to step forward, but Haoyue pulled out a knife from where she pushed Langri with the knife again, Langri was stunned.
"Do we have to talk like this? We have to fight against each other."
Haoyue didn't say anything, she looked at Lang Ri coldly, "I should kill you."
"You can kill me, but it can't be now. I promised my master to protect you. It's still too dangerous now. I'll send you to a safe place to live and kill you and cut you as you please."
Haoyue put away the knife and continued her expressionless face. She said coldly, "Yi Langri, don't follow me anymore, don't worry about where I go, I have nothing to do with you. I won't kill you now because I thank you for burying the warriors in our clan, but don't let me see you again, and I will treat this knife like this knife when I see you again." She poked the knife to the ground with force, and the knife broke into two pieces.
Langri looked at her with a frown, "Haoyue, where are you going?"
"It has nothing to do with you. Don't follow me again, don't let me see you again." After Haoyue said this, she turned around and walked in the other direction. Lang Ri stood there and watched her go away. The most familiar back and closest person always smiled and called him Haoyue, who almost got married, almost left without looking back.
"Haoyue!" Langri shouted to her back, "I wish I would die, the master would live. If I could, I would like to die for him!"
Haoyue paused for a moment, but she didn't look back and continued to move forward.
Langri looked at her back as she was gradually moving away. He thought, this time, she was really determined to leave herself. Haoyue left, and she would never forgive herself.
These graves were filled with sad fog, and from time to time there were lonely birds yelling. Langri felt extremely tired, and had never been tired before. He sat down, looked at the broken wolf-slaying knife, picked it up, and looked at the messy and haggard self through the knife. Yi Langri, he laughed at himself with a self-deprecating smile, you are lonely again, the wolf-slaying tribe is gone, the master is gone, and the Haoyue is gone, fate always does this to deal with itself.
